Amazing place, aesthetically maybe is the best in DC. Here the customer service is very special, everyone is kind and people have class. I used Nadia for my eyebrows she is amazing! Also the owner is a great stylist, super men haircuts etc. They also sell oribe products, my fav by far. crème style is best main hair product for men! Try this place

Since my last visit, Luigi personally followed up with me to address my issues and explain the miscommunication. Speaking to the owner, I can tell that he actually cares about his clients. not just the bottom line. I was very happy to know that I wasn’t intentionally up-charged. Overall, my facial with Nadia was just as good as the first time. The salon and spa is certainly on the pricier side but it is worth the extra $.There are cheaper options but one good facial is worth 5 cheap facials. I don’t think I will let anyone else touch my face again. My acne prone skin looks and feels amazing. Thank you again to Luigi and his attentive staff.

The staff was nice and service was good, however, the salon had me waiting over 20 minutes for my scheduled appointment. I can understand a few minutes late but 20 is pretty significant when you are trying to get back to work. With the high amount you are paying for services, they should be valuing your time as a customer.

Disclaimer: I am writing this review on behalf of a friend. I have a TON of experience with blowouts from salons across DC and I can happily recommend KAY from Luigi Parasmo. She did a phenomenal job. Ladies, I have the thickest, longest, and curliest amount of hair that most highly experience stylists have ever seen. That is why I am critical with my hair salon experiences. Kay used spent about 3 hours blow-drying my hair(average 3.5hrs). She’s not slow, I just have THAT much hair. Here is a list of things she did for me that I really appreciated. 1. THOROUGH wash and conditioning– anyone with thick hair knows this is 2. Used smaller round brushes to get at the hairline. 3. Used larger round brushes to give me glamorous waves. 4. Used a lot of TENSION to straiten my thick, curly hair. The pulling is Not a necessity to maintain the blowout for a decent amount of time. 5. Did NOT rely on hot tools except for when I requested that she go over painful, I actually enjoy the feeling of knowing that my hair is straightening. my hairline with a flat iron a little bit so that it stays nice and flat. Moreover, Kay as well as the front desk staff did not make me feel like I was an inconvenience at their salon. That’s happened a lot and I understand that my hair is difficult but I really appreciate the professionalism and care in making sure I didn’t have to feel that way by coming to them. I’ve already been twice to see Kay and I’m still overjoyed with her work.

90 minute massage with Evelyn Gallinagh. She is absolutely magic! I have had many massages, but this was the best. You can feel healing happen at a deep level. The salon and space is beautiful, peaceful and stylish. The staff treated me like a VIP. I HIGHLY recommend!

to make it fair to the others I will not name the salons where I was so far cuz I find that rude and tho I’ve been in all of them in DC area… lot of hairstylist did what they think and not what I want… Jacob did great job! I tortured him almost an hour and I feel bad for that but it’s always difficult first time… he had patient and will to really make what I want… will be back in 3 weeks… thank you ! Salon is nice!!! Very very friendly staff … Price for Georgetown is acceptable …

Nicki does the BEST eyebrow wax and makeup in the DMV. I’ve been going to him since 2004 and follow him wherever he goes. He’s so nice, caring, timely, professional and always has a smile on his face. I am happy he has moved on to David Rios Salon & Spa, an environment that’s more aligned with his personality and professionalism.

I have been going to Nicki to get my eyebrows done since 2011. He is always kind, patient, and greets clients with a smile. More importantly, he does the best eyebrow wax in the city! Not to mention, amazing makeup. I was very glad to hear he is no longer with Luigi Parasmo Salon and has moved to David Rios Salon & Spa.

Nicki(from Elizabeth Arden Red Door in Chevy Chase) is no longer at Luigi Parasmo, and he’s now at David Rios Salon. He does and excellent job of eyebrows and make-up. I’ve been going to him for years and so glad he’s no longer at this salon, and now at a wonderful new salon!

This is a nice salon. The front desk staff is always so friendly and professional, the people that work there are all pretty and Nicholas S. does the best eye brow wax in the city. I love this place.

If you have never had your eyelashes tinted by Katharina you are missing out! For the past 15 years I have followed her from salon to salon, my commitment to her is so strong. I can personally compare the quality of her work to salons in D.C., San Francisco and London. I currently live in Manhattan and still come down to DC to see her as I have never found any other aesthetician who even comes close. I have many friends who have tried eyelash tinting and never had the results I have had with Katharina – in fact most did not even realize the difference it makes when done well. Try the blue-black tint, its even better than mascara and you wake up looking as beautiful as when you went to sleep. On top of her exceptional work, Katharina is hilarious and caring and a visit with her will definitely put a smile on your face. The salon is also well located and relaxing. If it were in NY, it would be perfect, but regardless it’s worth the trip, Katharina is that good.

I’ve been trying different recommended salons across DC lately(Grooming Lounge — YUCK!, Ekti Salon & Spa — not bad) but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I’d seen a review in GQ or Esquire or Vanity Fair — I can’t remember — but I was expecting a lot of ambience but no substance. What I found was quite different. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease. They offer you water or coffee and I was taken back to meet with Kay, my stylist. She’s one of the first stylists to take the time before the cut to talk about my hair, what I wanted, and what might be best for me. The hair wash was fantastic with a soothing neck massage and Kay seemed to dwell on every hair I owned making sure it was perfect. A men’s cut was $ 55, $ 10 more than Ekti Salon & Spa and $ 35 more than a typical Super Cuts. But what you’re getting in return is a knowledgable staff and great service. Those are 2 things I’m always willing to pay for and so I feel the cost is perfectly justified. Try ‘em — you’ll see.

I cannot say enough nice things about Javier. When I was very young, I would visit my aunt every summer and make a visit to Javier at the Watergate. For years and years,(at least 15!) he would send me a Christmas card to my house in Oklahoma. Such a genuine person. Now I’m 25, living in DC, and try to go to Javier as much as possible. He’s still the exact same and I swear the man doesn’t age. Luigi is a lucky man! Javier is cool, classy, professional, GREAT with a pair of scissors, and he provides wonderful conversation. Go see him and you will not regret it!

I’m pretty picky about my hair, and it has taken years to find the stylist that’s just right, and knows how to manage my curly unruly hair. Thank heavens for Valerie! She is an artist with an eye that knows cut and color. She leaves me looking and feeling like a million bucks every time I leave the salon. Overall, the salon has a great set up with a pleasant atmosphere. It’s modern, clean, warm, and welcoming. Everyone is super friendly. Very pleased!

I recommend this salon to anyone who loves the Georgetown area and needs a go-to stylist. I have been going to Javier for over five years now and am completely in love with this new salon. The staff is always friendly and professional. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and make sure you are comfortable through your entire service(i always get a cappuccino upon arrival ;) Javier knows exactly what I want each time and always steers me in the right direction when I want to change things up a bit.

I went back to Luigi Parasmo to see Javier after not having gone in a year. I didn’t find anyone else, I just really didn’t cut my hair for a year! He remembered me from a year before and remembered details about me… and my hair! Incredible. I got it cut about three inches shorter(for the health of the hair) and he added some beautiful layers in, which will grow out. He knows I want to grow my hair out and had this wonderful cut with the intention of growing it out for the next year or so. While there for the cut, we discussed the possibility of doing some colour as well… I went today to add the colour. I originally wanted to be blonde, but changed my mind to a blonde/darker ombré style. It’s easier for maintenance AND it looks beautiful for fall. He did a really incredible job! I loved it even more than I could have imagined(which I can’t imagine since I’m not a hair person). Not only is Javier wonderful, but the whole salon experience was lovely. Sweet people checking if I want anything to drink, iPads on the colour bar for my use, super clean and trendy environment(but not at all snobby), organized and wonderful product selection in the front of the store — all in all, a perfect experience and I love going to Georgetown. I suggest you run, not walk, to get salon services there. I’ve been so impressed and can seriously almost promise you that you will be also.

This salon was recommended to me by a friend on a couple of occasions — she specifically recommended her stylist, Ky. I finally decided to try it out since her hair always looks amazing. Made an appointment to see get a cut, wash & style with Ky and I have to say it is one of the best experiences I’ve had with at a hair salon. Here are the Pros: — My stylist, Ky Walker! She’s amazing. She is friendly but still very professional. She listened to me during our consultation and(icing on the cake) she went above and beyond what I asked for! She cut layers that actually framed my face perfectly!(You won’t get a one-size-fits-all hairstyle here!) — The rest of the staff is warm and friendly — they care about their clientele. Also, you get the sense that they all really like working together. — Salon is extremely organized and efficient — you will not wait long to see your stylist & though the design of the salon is esthetically pleasing it still supports a streamlined process to support all services offered. Only Con: — Parking is a pain but that’s to be expected in Georgetown!

How much would you pay for compliments? I’m not talking about compliments from your significant other who already tells you how beautiful you are each day or your coworkers asking if you had your hair cut followed by «it’s nice». I’m talking about genuine, random, unsolicited compliments. Is that not why women wear makeup and strive for the most chic little black dress? Even the manliest of men glow when complimented on their shoes. If it were up to us, there would be no limit to what we would do for those sweet nothing compliments. Looking for just that, I decided to splurge myself on a fancy salon. The new years was approaching and well it was time for a new me. Yes I realize how absolutely cliché that sounds. Luigi Parasmo caught my eye when I was browsing In Style magazine at my usual massage place. It was the ONLY salon in the DMV that was listed so despite Unilocal reviews(or lack thereof), I called and booked an appointment for a cut and full highlights. The experience, although long, was wonderful. I was at the salon for almost three hours, partially because my hair did not«lift» as light as it needed to for beautiful caramel highlights in the normal time and partially because my stylist was a perfectionist. She would go over my cut from every angle possible to make sure that it looks good from every corner of the room. The result? Just what I was looking for. Oh the compliments flooded in at work, in line at Starbucks, at the grocery store and yes from the ever so dutiful and doting boyfriend. Is it worth the money.. . Hmmmmmaybe if I can use Benjamins as napkins but alas I am not there yet in my climb to riches. I still live in the real world, just a touch above rags. I will say that it is an experience that I believe a woman(or man) should indulge in at least once and then as often as one can afford. I believe that you live once and you should live it making an impression.
