My experiences have been so abysmal that I plan to report Mindel Management to the Better Business Bureau. On three separate occasions I have needed to purchase fobs(garage and door access) for entry into the building that I live in. Each time I went in to pick up the fobs, paid and was told that they would be activated within 24 hours … and every time 4 days later I was still calling and emailing and practically begging someone to activate the fobs(there is only one individual who apparently has the ability to do so and he is particularly rude in person and on the phone and will not call you back despite a note on his desk requesting that he do so from one of his co-workers and direct emails). And each time the only effective way to finally get a working fob was to go back into their office. This is despite telling them that I am unable to drive my car outside of the building because I can’t get back in(street parking is impossible during a snow storm). They will not apologize or take ownership for their behavior and inaction. It is probably one of the most unprofessional offices I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and I’ve lived in NYC(with its own special circle of hell of awful real estate companies).

HORRIBLE!!! Only needs one word. If you intend to buy a condo in building managed by Mindel then pass and move on the the next one. Unfortunately they mismanage over time then try and pass the problem to a new owner ignore the laws and communicate like a 3 year old. Companies like this that are still in business make a recession seem impossible.

Mindel has managed our building on NH Ave for several years, and all things considered, have done a good job. They’re responsive and accommodating generally. We’ve a had a few hiccups and challenges along the way, but they have rectified those problems. I was the Board President for the last 4 years.

One of the worst companies to work with that I have ever encountered. No response, rude employees and generally just a pain to deal with. Run in the other direction if you are looking for management of you condo or building. David is maybe one of the most useless people on the face of the earth. Everything they do is with the sole intent to charge you more money. What a terrible organization.

Mindel Management Co? How about Mindel MISMANAGEMENT company? Three errors in one month preparing condo docs that cost their clients thousands of dollars. They took no responsibility and responded with disdain and complete disregard for their clients. YUSUF was unresponsive and took no responsibility. MR. MINDEL the guy who signs the letters and is the«decision maker» also was unresponsive when contacted directly about the performance of his employees. If the guy who gave the company its name acts this way, its no surprise his employees follow suit and replicate his incompetence. STAYAWAY from any of their buildings or you will be writing a review like this soon…

If I could provide negative stars to this unprofessional company, I would do just that. If you are looking for a company that is unresponsive to their clients needs, that responds to urgent requests in a passive and dismissive fashion, that passes the buck and never fully explains what is happening, than this is the company for you. Shockingly bad. SHOCKING. WHYPAYTOHAVESOMEONESCREWYOUOVER. RUN, do not WALK. RUN. The other reviewer added that they have respect for the Board, of course they do, they need to get the business from the building but once they do have a contract in place they are THE worst management company. I do not recommend this company to anyone. ABSOLUTELYTERRIBLE.

Mindel provided me with an erroneous bill for«missed condo fees» and subsequent late fees(totally nearly $ 500) despite using a USPS Money Order for payment before due date. When I inquired about the«missing fees», I was met with an indignant tone and unwillingness to believe or look into my inquiry. Upon bringing their attention to the receipt from the USPS money order they quickly back-pedaled and shifted blame to the«likelihood» that it was lost in the mail or took longer than the anticipated amount of days for the mail to reach them. The following is a direct quote. «Note the USPS website says that is the expected not guaranteed delivery time.» Being sure that this could not have been the case, we followed up with the USPS regarding the cashing of our money order. As suspected, it had been cashed three days after the original mailing date – and 6 days before the due date. I might add that this has not been the first time they have«misplaced» dues or tried to slap us with an unwarranted late fee. It makes me wonder how much additional money Mindel has received because people have paid invoices without questioning the authenticity of the claim. This is just one of the laundry list of issues we have had with Mindel over the past five years. Even more disturbing than their accounting skills is the fact that they have always been unwilling to graciously look in to legitimate inquiries and treat their customers with the respect they deserve.

Horrible responsiveness, never claims responsibility, growing too fast for their own good.
