Overall, it was a great experience purchasing a Persian Rug from this Business. Very informative and knowledgeable regarding various styles and materials. Suggested color patterns and color matches to my existing furniture. In fact, they personally delivered the rug to my home and laid it out. Considering the many years of experience, I will continue to do business with Pasargad Carpets on Connecticut Avenue, Washington, D.C.

Have been taking our carpets to Pasargad for years for cleaning and minor repairs. They always do quality work, and until today the price had been consistent. The guy who picked up the carpets this last time suggested we trim the ends and do some other repairs, which sounded nice, but he never gave us a written estimate. We trusted that Pasargad would charge us around the same price as before, or at least let us know if there was going to be a difference. No such luck. Our usual price was $ 500-$ 800 dollars for service on multiple carpets. We got a call on delivery day that the cost was $ 2100 for everything. RIDICULOUS. And NOWRITTENESTIMATE before that after repeated requests. ROTTENBUSINESSPRACTICE! We had always dealt directly with the owner David, but this time got the constant runaround from a new associate who blamed everything on David and gave us a litany of excuses when we told him we would never do business with Pasargad again. «It’s not my fault, it’s like a zoo where I work. I tried to tell David.,» yada yada. And NOTONCE did he offer to reduce the price on his own or call David on our behalf while he was at our house. Business 101: every employee of a business represents that business. It’s too bad — we always felt this was a professional place before today. HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDTOAVOIDORGETESTIMATEINWRITING, even if you are a long term client. Goodbye Pasargad.
