Stopped here on a whim to get a quick bite to eat — did not disappoint! Great service and the pizza is amazing!

This was an all around very weird experience until the end. Pizzeria Paradiso fits G’town pretty well. They have two floors, an upstairs dining room and a downstairs room which is seat yourself. The hostess explained there was about a 10 minute wait for a booth upstairs which was fine but then she sent us downstairs and said it’s seat yourself… why have us wait for a booth to open upstairs then send us downstairs to seat ourselves… weird. There another group of 4 that walked in a little after we got there and I have a hunch they got the booth that was for us but it’s just a hunch. Downstairs is more chill, they have the menus near the door you walk in. It’s a little more cozy I think and the beer selection is solid. However the service continued to be weird. After we seated ourselves at the high top tables our first server asked(more like a not so subtle hint) that we move to a booth. If he would’ve politely asked if we could move to a booth it would have been no problem but we were comfortable and the place wasn’t packed nor did any other large parties come after us. The pizza menu is separate from the drink menus and there were none in the front when we walked in. We asked our server for a couple pizza menus and after double checking that we were correct about there being none he begrudgingly brought us a couple. 15 minutes later he came back with water and then without asking if we wanted any drinks he was gone again. 25 minutes later I’m getting to the point where it’s time to go. We got seated at 7:40PM and it was now 8:25PM. Having only had a glass of water and no decent service I was ready to leave to go somewhere else. I guess the other guy, David, behind the bar noticed at this point that we had received no service. FINALLY some service. He did a much better job, took drink and pizza orders, came back and took a second drink order. Suggested a new pale ale they had on draft from Maine Brewing which was pretty good. Our first server randomly stopped in after we were almost finished to see if things came out okay… D– for the effort. The horrible service pretty much dominates my experience visiting the pizzeria. I did order a really good Margherita pizza, probably one of the better pizzas I’ve had but honestly I have no interest in spending anymore time or money at this establishment. I’m not going to trash the place on the review but I’m not recommending it to any friends/family either.

It’s okay. Long waits and not the best service. Found waiters to be slightly rude at times in all honesty. Food was pretty good though.

The smell wafting outside is enough to draw a thousand«pizza rats» to this place, fortunately, they were nowhere to be seen! Very clean, very delicious, very good service(not perfect) and a really nice selection of the pizzas.

I came here with a friend on Saturday night. I liked the location a lot. We came in wanting to order pizza and beer at the bar. There wasn’t a wait for a table either so we ended up going to the downstairs part of the restaurant which was cozy and seemed to have a younger crowd. The pizza toppings were fresh and the crust was the right amount of crispy and soft. The beer menu is extremely long so anyone can find one of their faves or try something new! Our waiter was nice and our drinks and pizza didn’t seem to take to long to make it to our table. Worth trying out!

Pizzeria Paradiso does not need my review. They are simply the best pizza joint in the DC metro area. I’ve been going to their restaurants for over 10 years and have sampled all of the rest and keep on coming back to Paradiso. Their beer list is also second to none.

Cool place, has been featured in a few reviews. Upstairs & downstair seating. Downstairs is cozy, the ceiling is decorated with beer taps. They offer a great variety of beer. They have their Paradiso(chunks of tomato) or birreria(more Americanized with beer in the sauce). We shared three 9 inch pizzas, Margherita, Macellaio & Atomica. My favorite was the Macellaio with the red onions & sausage. Their french press coffee was awesome. I’d come back for pizza & some heavy shopping– can definitely burn these calories with all the retail shops along the street!

Without question one of the best pizza places in Georgetown next to 7th hill pizza. Their dough is perfect. Salads are amazing and fresh. If you are a beer fan, you will also be served. Service was great and efficient. Definitely worth the visit.

This place is tucked away along the Main Street of Georgetown. I came in around 2, happy to see it was a little quite. I sat at the bar, and was greeted right away. I ordered one the panini’s FANTASIC! The service was a little stale but someone did ask me how the food was. I would come back for dinner, and great date night spot, or friends night out.

I came here the other night as the +1 of my girlfriend for her office’s holiday party. We got a whole spread of food so we were able to sample the antipasti, pizza, and desserts. I thought all the food we had was delicious, especially the pizza. The focus of the beverage program is beer, and they don’t disappoint. The reason I’m writing this review is to give credit to the servers waiting on us bunch of hooligans. I believe their names were Emma and Jessica. Those two are champs that deserve a commendation. I know that handling a group of 40+ must have been a chore, but they kept their calm and treated us with great service. I plan on coming back to learn more about beer, eat great pizza.

The extensive beer list is what got me in the door, the delicious pizza is what got me to stay. I went for a Saturday afternoon while visiting some friends in DC and its an excellent, affordable place to grab a quick bite. We chose this place due to them having a limited Sam Adams KMF on tap. I got that and the Bianco, a white pizza with speck, roasted cherry tomatoes, and arugula on it. It was perfectly cooked and avoided that soggy center some wood/coal fire pizzas have. The toppings worked together wonderfully. The Bianco was easily my favorite, I tried my friends’ Margherita and the sausage and onion one as well. We arrived earlier in the lunch rush so we didn’t have to wait very long. The wait line did build after we were seated. The staff were friendly and quick, likewise no complaints in cleanliness and ambience. I would definitely return here, it’s a good restaurant that can cater to many peoples’ taste. As a beer person, there’s and extensive tap list of reasons I’d like to return.

I first experienced Pizzeria Paradiso shortly after my move to DC a few years ago. I went the night they were celebrating their birthday with unlimited pizza for $ 30. As a recent grad always on the hunt for a bargain, I had a great time. I housed one 12″ pizza and got another one for the road. Now that I’ve been in DC for a few years and have had the opportunity to experience a few more pizza places, I have to say that PP is not my favorite. Their dough is a little thick for my taste, and they put so much cheese on their pizzas that it inevitably comes off in a single piece as you take a bite. That happened to me on every slice! Anyone looking for a more compelling, complex pizza(can pizza be complex?!) should check out Piola Pizza. Two stars for good craft beer selection(they ONLY offer craft beers).

Nice spot in the middle of Georgetown for some good pizza. If you’re in a group of three, you’ll definitely want to order two large pizza, and a side of salad never hurts!

I am a HUGE pizza and beer fan – especially when the beer is cold and the pizza comes from a wood fire oven. Unfortunately, this place did not completely live up to my expectations. The atmosphere is LOVELY. It is bustling with families and dates, and has a ton of seating. We sat downstairs, which was cozy and warm– I was a huge fan. Yes, they have an extensive beer list. Super awesome. That being said, almost all of their beer on tap was served in a 12 oz glass… for those of you who know me, this is crazy to me! After I had an IPA(low enough in Alc % to be served in a 16 oz normal draft glass), I asked the waiter if I could have a beer on tap that came in a normal pint glass – apparently only the Pilsner was served in such a glass, but he assured me that I would have the«biggest glass he could find,» and so the joke was on me when he came out with this hilariously tall Pilsner glass – so much my friend laughed at me. Nonetheless, it tasted good and was 16 oz – can’t complain there. For the actual food, we differed on what type of pizza we wanted. Our server was happy to do half of the 12-inch pizza in Atomica and the other in Margherita. My half(Margherita) was sadly so bland! The ingredients did not seem as fresh and even the hot pepper flakes did not help too much. Major bummer. That being said, the waiter was funny and nice, the place was super cute, and I had a great time with my friend. If you want a casual pricey place for a tiny beer and so-so pizza, try it out!

We stopped in while visiting friends in DC. This place specializes in two of my favorites… craft beer and pizza. The tap list was outstanding. They were running a July IPA event so they had lots of the hoppy stuff I love. I had an Evil Twin Femme Fatale Brett and a Maine Lunch. The oh so tempting pizza combinations on the menu made it tough to choose. Each one our table ordered were outstanding. Between the Georgetown location, quality food and beer lineup, this was a real hit for me. It’s a little pricy but well worth it.

Walking around Georgetown on a rainy day I decided to stop by and try the pizza, honestly I’m just giving this place stars cause of the service and nice ambience. I order 3 pizzas, atomica, Siciliana and a build your own one. The 3 of them where so plain, not a flavor I got wow or would remember or recommend. The idea is there is just not coming together in the pizzas. Too bad. Simply not my place to come again.

Last time I was here, I ordered the Siciliana. It’s definitely a dish I recommend. The food here is excellent. The reason I have to lower this ranking is due to the service and the ambiance. The service is subpar here. I came with my boss, and they completely forgot his drink order. When he asked where is was and finally received his drink(much later than he should have), they didn’t even offer to comp the drink. The ambiance here is also poor. The tables are so small and so smashed together that it’s difficult to carry on a conversation and is even more difficult to not overhear all the conversations going on around you. Check this place out for the food, but don’t expect superb service or a nice place to relax and chat with your friends. Eat and then go somewhere else to enjoy yourself.

I try to start with the positives, but Pizzeria Paradiso is your typical Georgetown establishment. Food is okay, but beware of tourists. We ordered the finocchio salad and a 12″ macellaio/siciliana pizza for two. Pros: The salad had a lot of great flavors with anchovies, fennel, escarole, and lemon dressing to brighten the dish. Both types of pizza we ordered had a good combination of flavors. You’ll find something to satisfy everyone here. Cons: The pizza was soggy in the middle and got soggier as we made our way through each slice. Wish they had a better beer selection on tap — they only offered one stout(but they had an extensive list of bottled beers). The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy for a Monday night and we had a hard time flagging down our waiter for water and the check. *Happy Hour at the bar Mon-Thurs 5 – 7 pm(½-price draft beers, all pizzas on the menu: $ 12/9″ and $ 18/12,” all Insalate and Crostini: $ 5)

A great pie! The pizza here was excellent, especially noteworthy for it’s quality of ingrediants and it’s crust! Siciliana($ 12): B+ Paradiso Tomato Sauce, Zucchini, Eggplant, Caper, Minced Garlic, Oregano, Mozzarella, Pecorino, Red Sweet Pepper, Red Onion splattered all over delectable light crust. Yeah, I’m a fan. I’d go back in a heartbeat, though this still doesn’t top jumbo slice for me. =)

Vegan pizza available! You can choose from a great variety of veggie toppings with vegan mozzarella. And they have whole wheat crust too! I love getting vegan pizza here. It is on the pricey side for the portion size, especially to add additional toppings. But this is a great place to hang out, enjoy a satisfying meal and grab a drink. They have a huge huge beer list and best of all, the have Kombucha!!! I’ve never seen a bar actually carry Kombucha. Thumbs up. The Georgetown location has 2 levels and it is usually very crowded. There can be a wait but it usually isn’t too long.

I have been here only once while I was visiting D.C. with some friends and I am already a fan of their pizza. I am definitely planning to come back in my next D.C. visit! The pizza pie portions are perfect for one(9″ and 12″ pies), and the best part is that you can split the pie between 2 choices! Table parties can also buy a few pies to share around the table if they desired, but there are only 4 – 6 slices of pizza, depending on which size you get. So it’s best to pick 2 of a choice, if that is a more popular selection. The pizza also uses thin pizza with a semi thick crust. I chose ½ of the Macellaio(red sauce with sausage, pepperoni, red onion), which was perfect for the meat lovers. The other ½ was the Bianca(white sauce, cherry tomatoes, arugula, stopped with prosciutto). This one is my favorite of the two I had because it was light and great tasting! Love their white sauce! The 2 pairs of the selections was a good balance with a lighter choice and a heavier choice. We came for lunch on a Saturday and the place was quite packed. A table for 4 was about a 30 minute wait, but it seemed a lot shorter because we waited at their bar. I liked the environment, which was nice and relaxing. There is two floors, with a downstairs bar that wasn’t open during lunch. The service was also quick and helpful in giving selection advice, especially in their beer selection. ‘ All, in all, I will definitely come back! Once of the best pizzas I have had in a long time!
