SO. LAME. I’m glad there was no cover charge on the night I went with my friend because we didn’t even stay five minutes. We went over the whole place top to bottom and didn’t find anything that looked even remotely like a good time. it literally looks like someone’s old house that someone set up a couple of bars in. Clientele was a bunch of preppy kids and the music was TERRIBLE. Never again.

I only came here during night time with my friends, so this is not a review for day time food and dining experience. Fun place to hang out with friends on the main floor, the middle floor is more for dancing, and the basement is for karaōke, we had alot of fun in the karaōke room since you can sing along to some good old back in the day songs.

Excellent place to bring a group of friends! While there are 3 floors of bars and a rooftop deck, we usually end up in the basement kareoke bar for the excellent and fun atmosphere. Drink prices are fair too, and no cover. This place is definitely for the 21 – 23 crowd, as it is full of Georgetown student types.

I was at this place last night. I ordered a drink and the bartender told me he had to leave my debit card open. I said it was ok. I kept ordering a few more drinks and when I tried to close it, HESAIDHEDIDN’T HAVEIT! He was very rude about it and kept saying I never gave it to him and that I still owed him money for the drinks. He was also kind of drunk and texting in his cellphone the whole time. I got home and checked my account and they did charge for the drinks and left it open because it says that they’re waiting for the final amount. So, basically HELOSTMYCARD! and didn’t even try to apologize for it. I’m never going back to this place!

Ehhh! Wouldn’t go again. More of a 21 – 22 age crowd. I’m good on that! No thanks…

This place is dank, drinks are cheap and the young crowd thats goes there gets hot & horny. The rooftop is a smokers paradise.

Have walked past this place dozens of times and never gone in. Went there Sat night — the roof was empty and they have $ 2 beers until 11pm. On a Sat. On a roof. Yes, it’s dirty and empty, but not a bad place to hang out and drink cheaply until you head elsewhere.

Place was so dirty! But it was huge! 4 floors of craziness 1st floor is a bar, a little dance floor & karaōke 2nd floor is a bar and a dj it’s a dancing room, tables too 3rd floor has a bar, pool & tables and couches 4th floor has a bar and the patio area stayed at this club till almost 3 am and I don’t think I missed last call. This place was giving out free hot pizza slices on the first floor so awesome. Drinks were cheap no more than $ 5. Will be going back! Went on a saturday.

Went to Roxannes on Halloween night as part of our own bar crawl. This seemed to be the place to end our crawl. It was kinda empty at first, but filled up pretty quick by midnight. The music was fun, drinks were strong, and the space was big. Can’t say what it’s like during a more normal weekend, but wasn’t a bad place overall.

I think of this place as the Garrett’s/Third Edition/Old Glory/Guards of Adams Morgan. Smelly and crowded, bad music. Although the patrons are not as annoying. That being said, there are a few things that keep me coming back. It’s huge, with places to chill or dance, and many bars to make getting a drink easy. I also like the roofdeck, and that it was recently open on a chilly January night. $ 4 Heinekens and cheap drinks in general is another plus. All that being said, there was one night when the song«Mambo #5» came on. I ran out of the bar in sheer terror. Called my friends inside and told them its time to go somewhere else, somewhere very far from this place, somewhere safe…

Peyote smells like a gerbil or bunny rabbit cage and I don’t know why.

When facing 18th Street, NW, one has many bars to choose from. Choose Roxanne’s. Plenty of room, plenty of bars.

We had awesome weather on Saturday night, so after a house party around the corner, some friends and I decided to head to a roof deck in Adam’s Morgan. I hadn’t ever been to Peyote/Roxanne, so I was excited to check it out(ok, I was more excited to be able to Unilocal it, but whatever). We walked in through Peyote(the bottom entrance) and there were some guys singing their hearts out to Guns N Roses. Good start. As we made our way upstairs, I realized that I was definitely going to like this place more than most places in Adams Morgan. Even on a Saturday night in the summer, it wasn’t insanely crowded or hot. There weren’t a whole lot of shady guys, either! Woo! We were able to get a big table on the deck and ended up hanging out for several hours, never really making it to the other places we had planned on going. We met some other friendly bargoers and the whole crowd seemed to be in good spirits. I especially loved the open window from the deck to the bar so our friends could pass drinks through without us having to get out of our seats. Yeah, I’m that lazy. Leaving the bar(around 2am), I was reminded what I hate about Adams Morgan. People screaming at each other, threatening violence, cops all over the place, guys grabbing and catcalling every girl that walks by. Ugh. Still, when/if I find myself back in Adams Morgan I’ll be sure to head to Roxanne again– a little oasis from all the anger on the streets.

Only 3 reviews about Roxanne!!! That’s ludicrous!!! This place is my spot and whenever I go to Adams Morgan, I’m sure to go to the rooftop at Roxanne at least for an hour or so. My buddies don’t even bother asking«where i’m hanging out» in AMO on a given Saturday… they know… Roxanne fo sho!!! It’s not fancy, it’s not trendy, it’s not special — it’s just your average bar that has 4 floors, the lowest of which is the Peyote Café where I do my Guns n Roses and AC/DC impersonations, a couple floors of cool space to hang out with an unpretentious crowd of youngsters, and a nice big rooftop to chill. GOHERE!

Along with its counterpart, Brass Monkey, Roxeanne’s is one of my favorites in Adams Morgan. Roxeanne’s is located at the East end of Adams Morgan, at the bottom of the hill essentially. Roxeanne’s has a large blue awning and is connected to the Brass Monkey. This bar has one of the better crowds in Adam’s Morgan and has a nice outdoor seating area on the deck. It’s big and has a lot of different bars throughout, karaōke, and dancing. This place is fun all year round so if you’re going to be in Adam’s Morgan I highly suggest you check it out.

I’ve been there twice. I was downstairs on a Sunday eveing for karaōke, but there was no way to sing alone. people join you on stage, or the whole bar sings. I guess it is fine if you are as drunk as they are… but I wasn’t. Plus… a guy tried to fight me because he said I «stole his song.» LOL. I was also there on a Saturday night. Early Saturday night is was empty… and late saturday night, all the floors were exceptionally packed, and loud. We moved to the reef… where it was easier to talk to people without having to scream.

This bar is interesting and often overlooked, considering it’s in the middle of Adams Morgan. Roxanne is a good way to start the night, because there are plenty of places to sit and it has a pool table. It’s also attached to the Brass Monkey, the Spaghetti Garden and the Peyote Café in the basement. When my friends and I go there, we often weave seamlessly throughout the four bars. The bar staff is super nice at all of these places. Roxanne is pretty much the only bar out of the four that doesn’t get too crowded, though. The drink prices are normal, and there is usually good music playing here.
