This place is heavenly. I walked in to get my lash extensions done today. From the moment I stepped inside until the end of my time there, they took great care of me. They offered me refreshments, took care of my coat, and helped me settled in.
As for my eyelash extensions, Myly did an amazing job. Not only did she fix my eyelashes and made it perfect, but she did it with so much kindness. She is genuinely sweet and caring. I can not thank you enough Myly for taking such good care of me today. I WILL be back very soon.

This salon was a very pleasant surprise. I was in DC for a family trip this past weekend. My daughter’s and I were in the mood for new hair styles for the new year. We were able to get 3 hair appointments and a pedicure. The three of us were thrilled with our transformations. I completely recommend The hair artistry by Myly Tong and Tracey Dyoung at Spa Logic. Loved the pedicure by Phillip. Thank you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend.

I have had my haircut by the owner of Spa Logic before and my cut was great and she was lovely.
I was running late for my haircut this morning with Shwanna and called to let her know, the receptionist said that it was no problem.
When I arrived, traveling quite far, Shewanna said that she would not be able to blow dry my hair.
I said oh I didn’t realize and she snapped, «I’ve been here a few years, I book up.»
This information could have been relayed on the phone so that I wouldn’t have traveled out to DuPont Circle and it certainly did not have to be so rudely said.
It was freezing outside and I could not go back to work with wet hair.
While she may book up immediately, word of mouth is a powerful source of recommendation and a lack of kindness and inconsiderate behavior does not maintain clients.

I and 5 of my friends had a date with Spa Logic this past Saturday and we had a great time. The massages were well overdue and needed. My masseuse Sarah hands were like magic. She worked out every crook and knot present. We wrapped up our day with pedicures and I had the pleasure of meeting and being serviced by Phil who was great. He really made sure I was comfortable and my feet feel absolutely amazing.

I used to love this place, but the last 3 – 4 times I’ve gone, they have not met my expectations. To name a few things, nail tech cut my finger to the point she put neosporin on it. Most massage chairs don’t work. Charged to remove gel polish though I was replacing it with gel polish (and a full set). I’m in search of a new spot.

Myly is fantastic! I’ve been going to Myly for a year and she’s done great summer, fall and winter hair for me. She is current with the latest trends and colors and knows exactly what color and style would look good on different face shapes and skin color. I also continually go to her for eyelash extensions. She is meticulous and detail-​oriented and makes lashes look great with different eye shapes. I would highly recommend her for hair and eyelash extension is your in the DC area. Two thumbs up!

I’ve been here several times with several different stylists. Myly consistently gives 5 star haircuts, and the others are also very good. LOVE the wash I get before, almost like a massage.
Ronisha does eyebrow threading and she is the best in town. I have people complimenting my eyebrows all the time, ha!

I came here for a haircut with a groupon. I knew what I wanted because I have very thick hair that doesn’t sit well if its not cut right. I wanted texturing and layers so it would be much thinner at the end and it would grow out with a good shape. The woman basically said no to doing layers, so she just textured the hair — basically cutting out half of it from the inside so it was thinned out. Two months later, my hair has grown back, its thick at the ends and falls flat, just like I said it would. Seems like this place lacks basic understanding of hair types and how hair grows out and pushes poor choices onto the customers. Severely disappointed.

I was really excited that there was a salon with such great reviews in my neighborhood — and then sooo disappointed when I tried it and had a bad experience.
First, I had a basic question about haircuts which I tried to ask over the phone, but the receptionist insisted I needed to come in for a consultation.
Then I went and saw Mona, who said she totally understood and supported what I wanted (piecey layers in my long hair, with a trim of not more than 2″ off the bottom). I brought pictures that we discussed, and I thought we were on the same page.
But then she gave me neither the style nor the length I asked for! She said, «Look, I cut just 2 inches» — and showed me a lock of hair that was easily 4 – 5 inches long. She then showed me on her hand how big she thought 2 inches was (way too big), and I found myself saying, «Inches are actually a standard unit of measurement…» Like, really? I can’t believe that someone who uses this every day for their job never would bother to find this out. Then, instead of the piecey tiered layers I asked for I got a zillion tiny ones, so it looks puffy, cheesy, and 80s. :/​
But the worst part was how incredibly disrespectful she was. We had been chatting nicely and I never was anything but pleasant to her. But when I politely asked for simple things like a mirror to see the back, or for her to even up the ends (it looked like a zigzag across the bottom!), she would make this big eye-​roll face at the receptionist. I think she thought she was doing it over my shoulder, but actually it was quite visible to me. And she did it 3 times! It was so aggressive and unnecessary.
So, I got a bad haircut (that I can’t get fixed elsewhere ’cause it’s already way too short), and was also treated with weird, totally-​un-​called-​for rudeness. I will not be going back, and cannot recommend this salon.

Mike rocks my toes! This is the second DC trip I have gotten lucky and had him as my stylist, he is detailed, soft and just all around nice guy too. You get sea salt scrub with your Pedicure and they almost give you a mini foot acupressure session, so nice, not the slap your leg «massage» you get at some nail salons. This is our go to place when we are in DC!

Horrible customer service experience. I had a Travelzoo voucher for a discount facial and massage. When I arrived, they didn’t quite know what to do with me, as I wasn’t assigned a masseuse. I was supposed to receive a glass of wine, which was never offered. I’m giving it two stars because Sadi who did my facial was great. Laura who did my massage needs to work on her technique, as there was no consultation and she bruised (i.e left broken blood vessels) on my back from her overly enthusiastic deep tissue massage. When I called the next day to inform the spa, the person who answered the phone told me I should have mentioned it at «check out», so they can talk to the person right away. I indicated that I couldn’t see bruises at that point and told her there wasn’t really a «check out» because a lady was at the front counter complaining that the price for hair services increased. The person on the phone ignored me and proceeded to greet someone walking into the spa. I will not be returning, how disappointing.

I’ve been a Spa Logic customer since their opening in late 2013 but I must confess that the changes to the front desk staff and their scheduling problems have made it very difficult for me to want to continue going here for my appointments.
First, let me state that I think the world of Shawanna Glass and her talents. She is the only reason I continue to come back here despite multiple problems with the scheduling system canceling my set appointments. I would follow her to any salon in the DC area because she is that good. She is consistent, pays attention to her customers, and is incredibly kind. She is worthy of 5 stars.
Today was the second visit I have had in a span of 3 months where my set appointments have been cancelled without my prior knowledge of someone else on their staff. It is unacceptable and discouraging that the Spa Logic staff do not have this online scheduling system under control. I was standing next to another client today that had encountered this problem on her second time today where she had a previous confirmation of an appointment and then it mysteriously vanished in their system upon her arrival.
I know that the front staff was apologetic and made a rescheduling appt right away for me, but it does not help their service rating if they continue to have issues on this front. I will call in advance next time to make sure that my set appointments are confirmed. However, if it happens for a third time, I will be on the market for a new salon.

My boyfriend and I visited Spa Logic after it had been recommended to us by a few friends. We’d been going to Mimosa Salon (across the street) for several years and decided to change it up a bit. We don’t regret it.
Upon entry, the staff greeted us kindly and guided us downstairs to get a manicure/​pedicure. The downstairs staff was friendly and eager to fulfill our needs. We signed in, were guided to our massage chairs (great touch), and received a basic manicure/​pedicure. Providing drinks (soda, water, red/​white wine) is a wonderful luxury and definitely adds to the pampering ambiance.
My nail technician was good, but in comparison to Mimosa Salon, the massage portion of the experience was lacking (maybe asking too much, given we only asked for the basic service). My boyfriend’s nails were cut a little too short and cuticles trimmed back a little too much (he bled a bit).
The space seems much nicer than Mimosa Salon, where I often feel like a large animal being herded through areas without enough clearance. At Spa Logic, the furniture is spaced nicely and the atmosphere feels much airier.
Overall, I really enjoyed Spa Logic and will definitely visit it again. I have no problem going back to see if they can change this review to 5-​stars!

I LOVE spa logic. I’ve been to a lot of spas and this is by far the best one I’ve been to in DC. The massage is just okay. The facial and mani-​pedi make up for it. Cathy, the esthetician/​manager, is incredible and Kelly, the nail technician, is the sweetest person ever. She also does an incredible job. The receptionist is also very accommodating.

Like many reviewers My friends and I had a Groupon deal. I am usually skeptical about such deals as I know usually service lacks when you pay less but this place had 4.5 stars so I went for it We both had the package which included an acupressure /​reflexology massage, a European facial, and a mani pedi + complimentary glass of wine. I will explain my rating below.
First: booking the appointment was so difficult. It shouldn’t be but it was. We had to book 2 months ahead and the person who answers the phone lacks basic customer communication skills.
Second: No parking so you have to park on the street and add money every 2 hours which is not convenient when your are trying to relax.
Now on to the services:
European facial was basic and more like an express facial. Per the site it’s supposed to be 50 mins, but it seemed rushed and didn’t last that long and it was quick.
The massage was horrible. The lady who did my massage didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing at all. The acupressure massage which was supposed to last 30 mins lasted about 23 minutes, she basically rubbed me dry with no oil no lotion and just used her elbows. I was happy it was over. The reflexology massage which was also 30 mins was ok it did last the full 30 mins but it was mediocre to say the least.
The meni pedi was ok a little rushed also but no horrible.
Oh and we never got the glass of wine.
So to summarize not worth the deal or I guess you get what you pay for.

I go here for EVERYTHING. I discovered this place when I got a Groupon for a mani-​pedi, and I was both surprised and happy to see they offered a full range of services. Plus, it’s very close to the Dupont metro (which in turn is near my house) so the convenience factor is a big plus.
NAILS
I come here most often for mani/​pedis and I am generally very happy about the level of service. The nail space is a bit small and they’re usually quite busy, so it can get a bit cramped, but it doesn’t hinder the experience that much. They have automated massage chairs, a few TVs, magazines, and they also offer free drinks (wine, mimosas, water, juice, etc). which is fantastic. I don’t ask for a specific nail technician, and since I come here quite a lot, I have had just about every technician. My favorite is probably Mike, since he gives the best massages (my favorite part of a pedicure!) They also have a decent selection of colors, mostly from Essie and OPI, but I believe there are a few other brands available (though I haven’t used them).
MASSAGES
I love massages, which is terrible for my bank account, because they are quite expensive, especially in DC. The first time I got a massage here was over a year ago, when it was still around $ 55 (I think) for a one-​hour deep tissue, which is an amazing price for the area. Hanson was my masseuse and he was great. I usually prefer female masseuses, just because I’m more comfortable with them, but he’s super sweet and really knows what he’s doing. The price has since gone up to $ 85, so I haven’t come as often because I’m trying to be a financially smart adult, but I still go once every few months. It’s my favorite service offered at the spa :)
FACIALS
I had two facials, one by Sadie, one by Lana. The first was a Gilt City and the second was part of the spa package. They were both great, and both women were very sweet, although Sadie did push the products a little more than Lana. Each time I walked out my skin was glowing!
HAIR
Ok, so some background first: I have super-​straight Asian hair that I typically layer, and I always like having a V shape in the back plus long side bangs. I’m not sure why, but ever since I moved to DC, every stylist I’ve been to seem unable to grasp those concepts. They either don’t do the V shape or bangs right, or they don’t do them at all and I have to really push for it at the end of the haircut, which is kind of ridiculous when I told them from the beginning that was what I wanted. Anyway, Tracy at SpaLogic is the only one I’ve met so far who understood what I wanted right off the bat, without having to ask for more clarification. Plus I guess the fact that she’s also Asian helped when it came to cutting my hair :) She did a great job, and she is one of the nicest stylists I’ve ever met.
BROWS
I initially got my brows threaded here along with my mani-​pedi because I was too lazy to go to another salon when I was already here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. I wouldn’t say it’s the best place for brows in DC (that would be Willie at Browbeat Beauty in Columbia Heights) but it was only $ 12 (as opposed to $ 35 for Browbeat) and the results were pretty good. I’ve had no complaints. However, I am not sure if the lady who does the threading is still there. The last time I went (around late April) I heard she was back in her home country for a while and my manicurist wasn’t sure when she would be back. So now they only do brow waxes, which isn’t my thing, so guess I have to go to another threading place…
BRAZILIAN WAX
This is probably the only service I don’t really like at the spa. Generally, I like to get waxed by Mirka (Age Smart by Mirka) in Bethesda, but I figured I might as well try to be even lazier and fit this step into the spa too. Unfortunately, the process was LONG (way longer than a normal Brazilian wax), painful, and I had a bunch of ingrown hairs afterwards. Sorry if that’s TMI, but it’s true. I was disappointed, since everything else at the spa is so great, but alas, no place can be perfect, I guess.
Because of the Brazilian, I debated between 4 or 5 stars but ultimately decided on 5 because a majority of the services are great and the people who work there are super-​sweet to boot. The only annoying thing is I can no longer tip on my card for nails and brows (I used to, but they changed the system) and I hate having to take out cash, but that is just a minor complaint.
Overall, definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I purchased a Groupon for a Keratin treatment here and am so happy I did! While I can’t remember my stylists name, she did a phenomenal job. This was my third time getting Keratin done (my first time at this salon) and she was so meticulous and detail oriented — my hair has never looked better. It’s drying straighter then ever and it’s definitely from her hard work and attention to detail.
On top of all this, the salon was very nice and clean. They had fruit out and offered a variety of beverages to make sure your salon experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this salon!

I went to Spa Logic on Friday for a hair cut and a balayage. My stylist was Tracy D and she is AMAZING! She listened to what I wanted, provided suggestions as to how she thought my hair would look best, cut my hair perfectly, and even eased my concerns about the coloring process (I was a little nervous because I hadn’t put color in my hair in years). The color and cut are both phenomenal. We chatted the whole time. It was great.
I gave the four star rating for a pedicure I had a few weeks ago. I paid for the spa pedicure and I don’t think I would do that again because it seemed like the only difference is that stuff they dip your feet in… blanking on what that’s called… The man who did my pedicure did a fine job, but I did leave with some rough patches still on my feet. I have to be totally honest and say I have had better. But everyone is really nice, which is really important. Overall a good option for nails.

I learned about this place through receiving a birthday gift. The «Spa Package» was sent to me from Groupon and I had 90 days to use it.
My birthday was in February and decided to make an appointment for March 27. Making the appointment was relatively easy. I called but I think they may have been busy so I left my number and was called back around 30 minutes later.
I drove there because I was running late to work and Metro just wasn’t an option. Had I taken the Metro it would’ve been a much easier commute. My appointment was at 5 pm and it literally took me a hour and a half to drive from Fort Totten to DuPont area and find parking. Most of the parking in the area is 1 hour so I did a lot of looping until I happened to find a spot in a residential area.
After the quick walk to the establishment, from my lucky parking spot, I was greeted quickly. I sat at the front for 2 minutes maximum before I was taken upstairs to get the facial/​massage. My jacket was taken and hung up as well as offered a beverage to drink. I opted for water as I’m not a drinker.
I started with the Facial, which was given by Sayde. She was a riot and since I’m not a «girly girl» she made me feel very comfortable. I don’t wear make up, except for the occasional Chapstick in the morning so I really had no clue what was going to be involved. The only downfall was the «extraction» of the blackheads on my nose, forehead and cheeks and chin. That was some horrible pain, but then again I have a low tolerance for pain. However, it was more than worth it since there was a big difference in my face. I told her we should’ve taken before and after photos to so the difference. I was extremely pleased with my very first Facial ever.
Next, I had a massage from Jill. I was a bit confused when I walked in the room and there was a man already in there getting a massage. My SO and I have gotten a few massages over the past few months and all of them required removing clothing. I like the massage fine, however, I think it was rather restricting to be clothed. I was massaged from the scalp to my feet. I normally pass out with massages but this one I was fully awake. I would’ve preferred a massage where I wasn’t in the same room as a random stranger and to be clothed but other than that Jill did a good job with massage and was accommodating. As a side note I wouldn’t get the neck/​scalp massage if you had a rare perfect twistout, like I did, it completely was in disarray.
I went from the third floor to the bottom level where I received a pedicure. This also was a quick transition and the wait time was merely me finding a color that I would like before getting in the chair. Her name was Lared and she smiled a lot and attempted to have small talk. My pedicure was wonderful none of that upselling like some places try to do while you’re in the chair. Just a good old fashioned detailed pedicure. This also included a leg massage and hot towel wrap. Lared also gave me a manicure and opted to use the same color as my pedi. This was another first for me since I haven’t ever polished my own nails but I have gotten overlays and acrylic before. I was actually extremely pleased with both the manicure and pedicure until recently. I went in on Friday by Sunday there were cracks and chips with my manicure and by today, Tuesday, there are actual flakes missing. I do not have a labor intensive job nor have I done anything differently than my regular routine. However, it’s rather disappointing to have chipped and flaked polish 2 – 4 days after getting them done.
As for time, If you’re getting the «Spa Package» make sure you allot a minimum of 3 hours. I went in at 5 pm and walked out 8:30 — 8:45 pm.
Overall it was a pretty good experience. I know the prices may seem shocking but the experience and environment is worth it in the end. I may come back in the future for the Facial if Sayde is available but I’ll probably pass on the massage and manicure/​pedicure and just opt for a regular neighborhood nail salon.

I don’t get mani/​pedis often because they’re expensive and that nail drying window of time always makes me nervous — is it really dry when the fans turned off?
I really want to like this place — 5 stars for service hospitality, and attentiveness. But at the end of the day, I’m here for polished, fabulous nails. After my manicure, as I lifted my hand from retrieving my wallet, I saw 5 smudged nails. My manicurist was immediately on it; so I took extra precaution drying the nails again, putting it under the fan twice as long as requested. As I walk to the metro, and retrieve my card carefully, I saw another smudged, damned nail. Now I have to pay extra $$ somewhere else to get it fixed.
