I wouldn’t recommend getting coffee here unless you wanted to wait for a while. The baristas are too busy on their mobile phones to actually make drinks, but not to busy at the register to charge you. In fact one barista walked away from making a drink to answer her mobile phone and give directions to her store. It’s the G st on the other side of the White House. Also, the drinks came out without order, and incorrectly made. I’ve had enough time waiting for this coffee to write a review, check my email, and register my Starbucks card. I suppose they are so slow they force other people to be productive while waiting. That’s why I gave them 2-stars. Thank you G street Starbucks coffee for reminding me to stop what I’m doing and stand around because I had nothing important otherwise to do.

Just downloaded the app and I should have had it 3 years ago. Two words: free drinks. And two more: free refills. I highly recommend the place when coupled with the app from the iTunes music store lol. Also just a tip, get the expresso shot. It’ll put hair on your knuckles.

This Starbucks is easy to miss, so there’s a giant sign that says«STARBUCKSENTRANCE.» It’s close to the White House, is right on 14 and G Street NW, and has friendly staff who can make drinks competently and quickly. They didn’t announce my drink or ask for my name, so I didn’t know it was ready until I looked over and identified it as possibly mine. It smelled inside because of a homeless person who seemed to have camped out in the corner, trash strewn about. It’s one thing to just ignore homeless people accosting a business, but when they’re setting up a home in your establishment, it might behoove someone to do something. I watched him fill his coffee mug with creamer from the condiments station. The staff members did nothing, and other PAYING diners just sat there uncomfortably. We took our caramel frappacinos to go and held our breath.
