You might not want to buy anything from them. I did and my purchase was never delivered. Multiple requests for a refund were ignored, so I had to file a claim with my bank just to get my money back.

I came in here Saturday afternoon to see if they had computers available for use by the public. They did. There is a charge of $ 1 for ten minutes and there is a separate charge for printing. However I thankfully didn’t need to print anything. The computers seem up to date and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful. However, I asked for information on how to volunteer, they gave me someone’s email, we scheduled an appointment and the person just never showed up. I waited for an hour, I was told they were trying to reach him over the phone, but there was no answer. The only thing I got back was a «sorry for the mix up,» even though there was not any. I showed up for our meeting and he did not. Not the best way to encourage people to get involved.

Despite of its somewhat simplistic atmosphere… according to The DC Center’s website, this place is bustling with activities for the LGBT communities. I came here one night for a training session. All was calm. The staff manning the place was friendly and was apparently working hard on his tasks. I was impressed with the number of computers available for a community center. The number of books and other resources in their«library» was impressive. This is a little community center that’s just coming along nicely and is readily available for members and organizations of the LGBT communities. And…I felt safe there. Definitely look forward to my next training session there. Check out the website for upcoming activities or how you can be more involved!
