I have lived here one year and have had a generally pleasant experience. You cannot beat the price, the location is great, and the building is well kept. Since it is a newer building, we have not experienced any pest/rodent issues. The building residents have improved since I’ve lived here. When I moved in, there were a few scuzzy people and I had several packages(including a 60lb box of personal belongings shipped for the move) stolen by residents of the building. The management here was absolutely awful in handling this situation and refused to investigate the man seen on the security camera letting in the FedEx delivery man even though the management director’s signature was forged. Later in the year there was a fire alarm situation that was handled incredibly poorly. Overall, don’t expect any kind of service from the management, but they are responsive to fixing minor issues that arise in the units. Additionally, be careful with your belongings/don’t have packages shipped here. It is a great neighborhood and the units are nice, but there is a tradeoff. And now that I am moving out, they are not giving me back my security deposit. My roommate signed a new lease on our unit with a new person and they are telling me I need to get my security deposit back from the new tenant. Ridiculous.

After living in 3 buildings with much worse service/conditions I feel the need to amend my review. YES, it did take a long time to get assistance for minor issues. BUT, for all major issues, management responded quickly. Also, the building was fairly new and completely up to code! This is more than I can say for most apartment buildings in DC. Also, the entire year I lived there I never saw a single mouse, rat or roach. As DC is filled with these pests, I would directly attribute this non-presence to management having a good pest contractor.

Yeah so this place sucks!, I am breaking my lease and paying double rent just to get the heck out of this apartment. I honestly do not know where to start when it comes to the management and make it short and sweet.1.) the upper level had a leak and it started to leak in my living room, do they bother to tell me? .NO! so i have this giant bubble of water chilling on the side wall in my living room. next to my lamp that was going to burst any second. I had to call the office and i told them that something was leaking. and she says” ohh yeah the upper level has a pipe leak will get to you after we fix the top level.” and i say«so you knew about it!?» .anyways, when the guy comes and«fixes» it all that needed to be done was a sand down and basically should have taken 2 days… Its been 3 months! and it looks horrible.2.) tell me why they show your apartment unit while your still living in your apartment. and when you still have paid for the unit to live in?! I work night shifts and full time. Then they complain that i am sleeping and it is my fault that i am hurting the chance for them to sell the unit. The manager literally called my boyfriend and asked why am i always sleeping. Its around 9am and i dont get home sometimes 3−4am, and how is it any of their business why i am i called,.asked if they called my b. f told them they should have confronted me and that they already have their money. I never deny them showing the building. and that i will continue sleeping if need be. The lady got upset and just said its my fault it makes it awkward. blah blah blah. and another thing. maybe people dont want to rent out because its tiny as shit once your things are in here., and their is a messed up wall in the living room!.3.) The washer and dryer combos suck!!! i just called the office for the 6th time. about is breaks constantly and they take forever to respond to your needs. I have clothes that are probably smelling like mildew because they were locked in the machine for 2 days, i am waiting for them to install and new drain in it. I have no clean clothes and if it was their case they would fix it asap!4.)I go home which is out of state. They tell me i am not able to stay home for which i signed a piece of paper where we(my boyfriend and i) are suppose to be living together at all times, and that if we wanted to break the lease we weren’t able i had to take a trip back to dc., and come to find out thank gosh my b. f’s father is a lawyer he says we didn’t sign anything like that and she says” OOOhh well they need to come back in the leasing office and sign the paper” .AFTERWEALREADYWEREMOVEDINANDSIGNEDEVERYTHING. You cannot do that. its against the if they ever try some bullshit like that on you do not do it! .I guess it was our fault for moving in on such short notice. The guy before us got evicted and they showed the unit when there was shit everywhere squash on the ground., cigarettes all over the place., It was disgusting. Taneesha promised us new carpet, when we asked about it the day we moved in she said we couldnt get it. UGH this place is horrible. you can hear everything and anything what your neighbors are doing cause of the paper thin walls. I never had problems with thats a plus. but because of the headaches constantly and the incompetent workers that manage the place. Its not home sweet home., Oh and make sure you are dressed decent prior to having anyone come in. because they like to open the door right after one knock at the door. even when you say hold on one moment goodluck!!!
