I was a seller who received an offer from a buyer represented by a Weichert agent. From the outset, the Weichert agent seemed either not to understand the transaction, or to not be explaining it to his client. When the deal then inevitably fell through, the Weichert agent refused to extend the common professional courtesy of giving my agent a reason for walking away. I then emailed the Weichert agent myself, politely inquiring why his client had terminated the deal, in hopes of better positioning myself now that I had to put the property back on the market. The Weichert agent failed to even acknowledge my email, let alone provide an explanation. This behavior, along with the agent’s seeming unfamiliarity with basic financial and real estate concepts, struck me as both unprofessional and unusual. As a result, I would counsel strongly against trusting Weichert with your business.
