I went there on July 2012 to do an eye exam(without dilation). The service was very good and quick. They have a good selection of glasses but for sunglasses look somewhere else. I ordered a new pair of glasses and it took one week. It is not a fancy place but no complaints.

The eye exam was fine. Glasses I ordered were pricey for basic specs. What really brought it from 3 stars down to 1 was getting my prescription filled. They say that they have a «store policy» of not faxing prescriptions. This is not only unethical, but illegal. It took me 10 times to get a hold of someone that could tell me that they won’t fax my prescription to 1−800-Contacts; I’m assuming this is because they wanted to sell me contacts at a exponentially higher price. I finally got it resolved by threatening legal ramifications, but the point of the matter is no one should have to jump through hoops in this day and age to get some freakin’ contacts delivered. This is DC, you have plenty of options, I would recommend finding another optometrist.

I wanted to like this place, right next to my house and locally owned. I’ve been wearing glasses for 15 yrs and for some reason this place just can’t get it right. They are completely crooked and after attempting to get them fixed 3 times I’m convinced they just don’t know what they’re doing. Optometrist was nice, but not worth having to deal with incompetent office staff, ridiculous prices, and messy facilities

I can’t believe there are any reviews here that have more than one star. This place couldnt have been any messier, dirtier, and more unorganized. How can this place even call itself a professional health care center?! I swear never has a vacuum ever passed through those doors. I left in utter disbelief. How is this place even in business? Beware.

This place might be tiny, but the optometrist is strait forward, efficient, and kinda nags you like your mom to take better care of your eyes. I would definitely recommend this place, although even with insurance it is a bit on the spendy side, but that is most eye doctors that aren’t Hour Eyes. At least this place treats you like a human being, gets you your contacts by the next day, and can fit you in at short notice — which makes it worth it.
