Atmosphere, food, and experience all amazing! Mushroom whiskey steak was cooked perfect and was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Husbands filet was also perfect. We had the bacon wrapped salmon skewers for an appetizer and that was very good as well. Definitely will be back! Great addition to Washington and we definitely need it!

Great place! Great food! Perfect for a Romantic night or a group of friends! Our table of four got artichoke dip and shrimp cocktail. Both were really really good! Bread was yummy with flavored butter! I got tuna salad, good, but not as flavorful as some. 6oz filet minion and 12 top sirloin, both excellent steak!!! Horseradish Gorgonzola potato(too salty) not as good as the sweet potato purée. We got a bottle of Merlot served in a fun decanter on the table. Nice little addition. Great place!

I had the whiskey mushroom steak and while it was delicious, it was not perfect. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium to medium well. It has great flavor, but was somewhat chewy. The baked potato, however, was sublime. Perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten. Good experience overall.

This was our second trip to enjoy the Sunday Brunch. The personable chef prepared our omelettes to order, and we all agreed each was probably the best ever — not overcooked and full of flavor!(Try one with the gouda cheese). The prime rib and beef tips were outstanding and the service was friendly and attentive. All in all a great experience

Ok, but will not rush back. When asked for drink orders, I wanted to try their own signature Blacksmith beer. Was told they were out of it. — Nice menu, good selection, good cuts of meat. I tried the bison for the novelty. It was tough. Not worth $ 33 in my opinion. 5 in our party. Most of us got some cold food. The butters on the steaks didn’t even melt. Service was ok, but lacked polish. We felt the bums rush at the end of our meal.

We came for the Sunday brunch. Quite a nice spread for the price and more upscale thank you’d think for the $. Quality ingredients that are well executed. Much better than similar buffet brunches that I’ve paid twice as much for. Very happy with the service. We will return for dinner!

Came on a Sunday morning for the buffet. It was anything but ordinary. Savory prime rib at the carving station, made-to-order omelets to die for, fresh salads, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, all so very very good! All of this for such a reasonable price. You have to taste & see to believe!

New restaurant in Washington, Illinois. Located where the old Basta O’Neills used to be. We had reservations on a Friday night for four. We arrived a at 7:00 and the restaurant was busy. We were greeted and seated right away. We sat in a nice sized booth which was very comfortable. We ordered drinks from the bar and no appetizers. We did get warm bread and butter. The server was pleasant and very diligent in making sure we were getting what we needed, definitely not rushing us. I ordered a filet, twice baked potato and garlic green beans. The twice baked potato was average in my opinion, however, our friend ordered one and loved it. The garlic green beans were very good. We had an extremely minor issue that was mentioned to the server(just to let her know). Well, the manager came to our table and apologized and went above and beyond to remedy the issue. This was very unexpected since we just made a comment to our server and did not expect it to go any further. Outstanding customer service! Now for the reason I was excited to come here — Steak. We don’t have a steakhouse in town and we really need one! The filet came out and it was large(I ordered the big one, but I don’t remember the size on the menu). I ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. At first bite, I realized it was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Earlier in the year, we went to the Chicago Cut steakhouse… well, the steak at Blacksmiths was just as good, if not better! I can’t say enough how good this steak was. Very well seasoned, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. I will be going back!
