OurBar is one of our go-to’s in downtown Washougal. The food is different, but amazing. Not something you get anywhere else, which is also what makes it so good. Owners are very cool as is the staff and great place to hang out for a bit before heading out on chores. Thanks for such a great place.

Worst meal I’ve had in a long time. Salad greens tough, Broccoli in quiche left in huge chunks and wine served in Mason jars. Tacky to the extreme.

As we are people just traveling through looking for a quaint place for breakfast this did not disappoint. We read the reviews and decided on the quiche(daily special), a half order of biscuits and gravy, and the huckleberry pancakes. The quiche was tasty. It had a south west flair with beans and green chillies. The pancakes were very flavorful. The biscuits and gravy were good. It was a tad too rich for me. But it was good. It wasn’t overly expensive and was NOT huge portions. If you are looking to fill your gut with cheap food go to Shari’s or Denny’s. I can’t imagine traveling through Washougal again, but if we did I could see swinging by for breakfast.

Ordered a classic espresso macchiato. Done well like a fancy coffee place and served with sparkling water. I’ve had the potato pancake and egg several times, and they put the attention and time into properly cooking potatoes, which is a particular preference of mine. The only Portland-like restaurant in Camas/Washougal. Worth going out of your way for.

This is our go to brunch spot on the weekends! I love the Sopa de Fideo. Unique dishes and many savory or sweet options to please everyone. Very friendly staff also!

Awesome little place in downtown Washougal! If I had to run a café, this would be the type! Rustic, warm and comfy furnishings, with a modern flair. Great vibe. And the food is homely, wholesome and tasty. Everything on the menu looks delicious– it’s a hard choice to pick only a couple at a time. I will be back with more friends. Love supporting local!

Always great for a quick breakfast or lunch. My wife loves the Biscuits and Gravy and I’m a fan of the pork belly and some eggs. Water and coffee station means I’m not waiting on staff for refills ;) I love my water.

Their motto is «Eat real food!». And it’s actually true. This is totally worth the drive for people from west county. We come at least once a month and want to way more often. It’s always been great with very friendly service and very kid friendly with a great children’s library! Their potato and egg with huckleberry pancakes is all I get. And of course topping that off with their innovative and extremely delicious«beermosa». Had never heard of one before I came here. You won’t regret it!

Great food, casual atmosphere, really nice people! Impressive biscuits and gravy — my wife is a B&G connoisseur and she loooooved them. The huckleberry pancakes were perfect and they poured a mean mimosa too. Good on ya Washougal — you’ve come a long way baby!

This restaurant is very Portland like for being in rural Clark county. Nonetheless the food is fresh and the portions match the price very well. Everything here is the uppermost quality as far as ingredients go. Not a place I would go on a regular basis, but somewhere everyone should try at least once.

If you have to eat gluten free, and haven’t tried Our Bars biscuits and gravy, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life!

I went to OurBar the other day for breakfast and had the potato and egg with a side of pork belly. Any place that fries a mash potato patty is a winner in my book… add a fried egg on top… some green chile and some hot sauce… mmm. My only complaint was that service was kind of slow… the prices, however, were awesome!

Everyone should have a restaurant that feels like a Home Away From Home. For me, that place is Our Bar. My boyfriend and I make trips from Seattle to Portland pretty regularly, and Our Bar is a mandatory stop every time. Order two of everything on the menu – nothing will disappoint you.(Lemme tell you, I have dreams about the cheezy, wild boar sausagey, warm, savory goodness that is those gluten free biscuits and gravy. And don’t get me started on the homemade applesauce unless you’ve got some serious time to kill and want to hear me wax poetic.) Everything here is made with creativity and love. That is reflected in the food, the ambiance, and the warm and wonderful people who are drawn to Our Bar. Don’t bother going in if you’re a jerk. You’ll be extremely well-fed but the only one of your kind.

The one time I bothered to wait for an hour while sitting at the bar, the food was incredibly bland. I decided to go back and give it a second shot today. I could not get acknowledged by staff and then had our table taken while trying to get an order in. If this establishment cares about service at all, I suggest working out a system that doesn’t involve flying elbows for seating.

Bottom Line: best breakfast and lunch option for innovative cuisine at a reasonable cost in the Camas/Washougal area. It is a small venue with a small staff but has a cool laid back vibe. Well I try not to give a 5⁄5 rating unless it is really deserved and because it is a really small venue, I worry that next time it will be a long wait but here it goes… this is one of the best places for breakfast or lunch in the area, period. Deal with ordering at the bar and bussing your stuff, it’s part of the charm. This place exudes the non pretentious, laid back, cool chic which is Clark County. The chef Alex has some serious creativity and skill and Michael who mans the bar is great. I ate at the bar for lunch with my wife. She had the roast beef sandwich and I had the lamb sandwich. OMG so good. The lamb sandwich was like a gyro on steroids and my wife said her roast beef sandwich was the best she has ever had. Let’s just say she is way more critical of food than I am so a 5⁄5 and nothing lower. It’s a small place with a lot of charm and not for everybody if you are looking for a pampered Portlandia brunch experience, but if you want really innovative, and yet very comforting food, at a reasonable cost, in a small, laid back venue, look no further. It is as good as it gets. Oh yeah, vegan and gluten free stuff also if you are so inclined. Like all small restaurants with a staff of 3 – 4 people total, it’s not always going to be be speedy or perfect from a service perspective all the time. It’s just the nature of the business. If you can’t handle that, that’s OK by me because I will be back and that means less of a wait for a seat. LOL Downtown Washougal is becoming a serious destination for food, beer and shopping. Check it out.

«No… it’s part of our ambiance» I keep trying«Our Bar» in Washougal and it just doesn’t measure up… Better customer service at Burgerville. Our Bar’s food is good, can’t argue that one bit. But their customer service is consistently poor. «Sucks» would be a more descriptive word. This Sunday we brought a group of 10 in for coffee and breakfast… a busy morning for Our Bar. We asked if they would turn down the music(it was so loud you had to yell at the person across the table from you). Their answer«no, it’s part of our ambiance» Seriously? Loud music is your ambiance? A customer asks a restaurant to turn down their music so the person across the table from you can hear your conversation and the employee says«NO, its part of our ambiance»? I might expect this from Burgerville. What’s the point of good food if you have to yell at the person across the table from you? Yes, literally YELL across the table. If you want a restaurant where you can converse with the person you are with… go someplace else… «Our Bar» in Washougal has good food but has some of the WORST customer service in Camas/Washougal. I know CW is hurting for good quality restaurants in the area, but Our Bar doesn’t make the Cut. It may be acceptable to treat customers like crap in Portland, but not Washougal. Stay away from«Our Bar». They care about«Farm to Table» but don’t give a damn about customer service and the people paying the bill.

We just had breakfast at Our Bar, this morning. There is parking behind the building, but it was packed when we arrived. Street parking is available as well. As others have stated, there is minimal seating. I saw one larger table, which would seat eight to ten, and four smaller tables, seating two to four, as well as a small couch/love seat in the corner. The entry doors were confusing, as they look like large slabs of steel, and not door like. As has been stated, you snag a table, if you can, grab some menu’s from the bar, and then go back to the bar when ready to order. The drip coffee is self-serve, and in my humble opinion, bitter and no better than Folgers. Perhaps the coffee was old. We were there at 10:30ish. Water is self-serve, with little canning jars to drink from. I saw no ice available and the water was room temperature. This didn’t bother me, but might bother others. There is a mish-mash of unique coffee mugs on the bar, from which you snag a cup to get your coffee, after paying of course. After perusing the menu, we both ordered a half-order of gluten free biscuits(1 biscuit versus 2 for a full order) and a side of potatoes and pork belly to share, small OJ and coffee. Our total was twenty-one and change. I ordered the gravy and pork belly, knowing they are wild board and would be more gamey, and less sweet than farm pork. The small OJ is a small canning jar. The potatoes are oven roasted style. They were crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned. We agreed they were worthy of coming back for those alone. The pork belly is something I’ve been wanting to try, somewhere, in general. We decided neither of us were a fan. It’s too much fat. Bacon has a little fat, after being cooked, rather than ½ the strip being gelatinous fat. I did enjoy the slightly gamey, unique taste of the meat half. The biscuits were so delicious. They are cheddar, bacon biscuits and they are very light and fluffy. If these were served to anyone, they would never guess they are gluten-free. The gravy is a brown gravy. I was surprised I liked it. Neither of us like brown gravy, as a rule. This was delicious, with little bits of wild boar sausage, which wear mouth-watering good. The only gripe I have is that our biscuit and gravy orders had no potatoes with them, and I notice in customer photos on Unilocal, everyone else had potatoes with the biscuit and gravy. I don’t know if they are cutting back on what you get to cut costs, or why we didn’t automatically get potatoes with ours. There is a sign on every table asking customers to bus their own tables. They don’t make it very clear where to put your dishes. We had to look around, before finding the bins under the coffee and water bar area. Despite ordering and pre-paying at the counter, and then bussing your own table, there is a request for tip in the receipt. We like the biscuits so much, we decided to see if we could get four more to go, for another morning with the kids. They gladly let us have the last four, to-go, but I was surprised to see we were charged over eighteen dollars just for the four biscuits. I can only guess they charged us for two full orders of biscuits and gravy, which wouldn’t bother me if we actually received two sides of gravy with the to-go biscuits. So, to sum it up… the prices are on the high side for a self-service restaurant, and it seems they are giving you less food than before as well… or perhaps we were the only customers given less food than previous patrons. The food is good and unique, but I think they need to come up with a different way to ring up the biscuits alone, if they are willing to let you just take those, to go, with no gravy. Update: I emailed the business regarding the cost of the biscuits, as well as the question about the potatoes. They responded, saying that everything is ala carte, and the potatoes in the photo must be just how they served the two orders that time. As well, the over eighteen dollars for the biscuits is expected. They charge four per biscuit, plus tax. As a result, I can’t say I’ll be back often. If they lowered their prices, I would frequent them more regularly.

OurBar biscuit was great! They brew Roseline coffee which was delicious. This looks like an up and coming hotspot for Washougal. It’s right across the street from Amnesia Brewing. They should consider adding some outdoor seats as the weather is warming up.

Our family decided to venture out to Washougal and eat at Our Bar after church today. We have heard great things about their menu and ambiance and they were right! You will notice that we only have two photos, but we ordered 4 meals. Some people couldn’t wait to dig in! I had the potato pattie topped with an egg and a dude if pork belly. It was seriously so delicious! My husband and I consider ourselves foodies and we enjoy unique flavor combos. You will get that here! It’s a smaller establishment but they have a larger seating option for groups of 12ish. The décor reminds me of Country Cat in Portland which is one of my favorite restaurants. It’s a great family-friendly establishment that also has adult beverage options.

We really liked OurBar. We ordered a side of pork belly and laughed because we thought it tasted a lot like rotisserie chicken :) I ordered the egg and potato which was really good. It was more potato than egg, but I would definitely order it again. My lifetime boyfriend ordered the french toast. He said it was good, but that he likes the french toast over at Natalie’s in Camas more(crispy outside, softer inside; whereas OurBar was sort of crispy throughout). We shall return!
