Thatcher Brook Inn

How am I the first to review this place? It seems like it has been here for years.
Hmph?! Anyway, great location right off I-​89. Pretty close to downtown Waterbury and on the way to Stowe. Perfect for us. The room we got is cozy but efficient. The TV is old and outdated, but the bed and bathroom were clearly updated recently. This place has the old homey Inn feeling without being too stuffy. The price is pretty reasonable too. My only complaints are 2 things. 1. No ironing board or iron in the rooms. I know this may sound crazy, but my clothes don’t always travel well and I like to try and fix them if I can. 2. The outdoor deck off of our room. Its great to have a cute little deck to enjoy, but with no real windows in the room besides the sliders that go to the deck… making the deck a little more private would be awesome. I would have loved to have kept the slider open for a while, but since the deck is shared among everyone on the floor with no dividers between us, we couldn’t. The only other window was in the bathroom and it had an AC unit in it. So we had to sleep with everything shut. Not a huge big deal, but worth mentioning.
The simple breakfast in the am was a nice touch and everyone that works here is super friendly. I think we would come back again if we were in the area.
