The best service I’ve experienced. I miss being able to drop off gear and pick it up since he’s relocated but he does make visits to pick up and return your axes once the work is done, so since he is one of the best with a quick turnaround i guess it’s ok…

I was not happy. My old Strat was a mess. I didn’t want anyone to touch it. In the end I took it to Parsons on the strength of a personal recommendation. DJ completely nailed it. It’s playing as well as it ever did. Really nice level crown and polish for the frets and a complete setup of the action and intonation and(super critical) the tremolo. I am very happy with the work. Sort of feel like I got my old pal back.

D.J. Parsons is a skilled and experienced luthier. He does repairs, maintenance and modifications on all kind of stringed instruments. He also offers guitar repair and setup courses for people who want to know more about their instruments, how to maintain, setup or even how to build them. I enrolled to his night classes one year ago and I’m highly impressed and very satisfied. I was involved in many challenging and interesting projects. I cooperated with him in many repairs of badly broken guitars, completing kit building projects, replacing parts, doing sophisticated upgrades on acoustic, electric and bass guitars. He’s not just a reliable and creative luthier, he’s also a talented instructor. Actually, he helped me a lot with the opportunity to learn the skills to repair and build guitars, it changes my life and now I feel I finally found that luthiery IS the job that I wanted to do in my whole life — fortunately it’s never too late to start. :) Besides his professional skills he is also a very nice and good man. If you need any repair, maintenance, upgrade, modification on guitars/basses, he is the professional you should contact.
