I had the veggie Banh Mi and it was amazing. Pretty cool restaurant that is small and cozy but has excellent sandwich options.

Great food, absolutely delicious, only problem is cannot stop eating, big portions. I have had a lot of the entrees and don’t have a favorite all great. Great selection of drinks, I had a ginger beer from bermuda, delicious. The place is spotless and tiny, go early or be prepared to wait. The staff are really good professional and there when you need them.

Great food. I can honestly say I’ve had everything on the menu at least once and have yet to hate anything. The place is a little small and has limited seating so if you plan on going for lunch as a group of 4, make sure to get there early otherwise you may find yourself having to sit at the counter or having to wait for some space to open up. The staff there are incredibly nice and attentive. The only complaint I have is that they can be on the pricey side for food.

Great appetizers with creative combos I have not seen elsewhere. The ramen missed the spot for me as I did not like the broth. Friends got fried chicken and other entrees which they loved so I think this was more a preference on the Ramen more than anything about the restaurant. Next time I will try more items.

This is a bootstrapped, family joint making amazing food in a space you’d never expect. Strip-Ts puts out consistently high-level food in a place you might see on that blonde clown’s show on the Food network, and with good reason. Lunch is my favorite thing at Strip Ts, because their prices are competitve, and the food is way, way better than anything you’ll get anywhere else. The banh mi is perfect, with an airy, crusty roll and perfectly made tofu. I hate cilantro, but it works on this sandwich. The fried chicken can’t be beat. The burger is on a par with Craigie. Great fresh oysters are always available, and they don’t skimp on the presentation, either. You really can’t go wrong here.

Everything at this place is delicious. I’ve had the turkey Reuben, phở real sandwich, the Cobb salad is my absolute favorite… bacon lard chunks. The chips, potato salad, coleslaw and fries are very good also!

I have been back a few times since my first review and I swear the food and service have gotten even better. Mt husband and I have had a good amount of their menu and everything has been excellent. I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the awesome staff. They have no issue explaining the more unique items on the menu and repeating the daily specials. While everything that i have had on the menu was awesome, i must say again that the CAESARSALADISTHEMOSTAMAZINGSALADTHAT I HAVEEVERHAD. When they give you the option between the small size and the large… get the large. I would get a jumbo if they offered it. Yesterday they served it with an amazing seaweed focaccia that made what i thought was already perfect salad even better. Still haven’t been for lunch and really want to get there as that menu is completely different menu than the dinner one.

Somewhat eclectic menu by very talented cooking professionals… Terrific wait staff. You get the feeling that Chef Maslow likes to give you the kind of food that he would like to eat himself, that anything on the menu would be on his dining room table… A very casual place that fills up quickly we arrived at 11:30 for lunch(6 of us) and there was seating and also parking outside… We all enjoyed a wonderful lunch, Best Hamburgers ever, from some of us! You definitely would drive by, if you dis not see Strip T’s somewhere outside the front door.

Interesting food, potato salad is pretentious and sucks, phở sand was good but 12 $ for a sandwich ?? Place needs to decide what it is fancy rest or sand which place.

I went here after a friend of mine raved about it. The food is solid. It’s homemade, and I would have given it 4 stars if I was served in the order I came in. Time and again seats opened up, but since I was alone, they told me I would be seated when a lone seat was vacant. So, if 2 seats opened up, they would seat 2 people who were behind me and leave me standing there. Finally, they seated me when 1 seat was vacant. After I sat down, someone came over and told me to get up, because other patrons were about to leave and they could move people around and seat a larger group who had just shown up. This was just too much, so I complained, but, not only did they not care, they became belligerent and seemed to be spoiling for a fight, which is not at all what I was looking for when I came to the restaurant. I was alone, and it was open season for this pack of seat sadists. I had invested a lot of time traveling there and waiting in line, and by now was very hungry, so I got up and went back in line. By the time I was seated, I was so tired from standing for so long, I could barely enjoy my dinner. The waitress was sweet, though, which is more than I can say for the sourpusses who unapologetically bullied me out of one seat after another. Needless to say, I have yet to return.

Amazing!!! The Caesar salad is the best that o have ever had. Spicy miso ramen is always solid but I don’t think that the extra half egg is worth $ 2. The burger is my husbands go to and is also exceptional.

Found out this place from eater and decided to go and try it out! I went for lunch so they were serving the lunch menu. Be ready for the mouth-watering smell of this place once you enter. You know right away they serve awesome food. The two MUSTORDER are: 1. the Greek Romaine salad! It’s served with oxtail and perfect poached egg 2. The gravy fries. It is served with gravy(of course) and a little bit of chili flakes on top. I had their original Strip T’s burger cooked in medium. It turned out the patty was quite overcooked. Maybe it’s hard to maintain the temperature, so make sure you consider that when choosing yours. But other than that it taste really good especially with the brioche bun and Japanese sweet potato wedges. Definitely coming again soon to try their dinner menu! It looks really appetizing as well :)

Most of the places that claim to have great, or the best Chicken are fakers. As a self proclaimed fried chicken connoisseur, I give my official stamp of approval. The chicken is done to perfection. As crazy as it sounds, the wicked Caesar might be just as good. The staff is friendly, quick, and the food is legit. Will be back for sure

Watertown has some really good eats, this place is down the street from the Arsenal Mall. Inside is cozy and small so I wouldn’t recommend for groups of 4 or more to come here it might be a tight squeeze! To describe this place more the food is American with a Asian twist to it! Here’s the nitty gritty details! The moxie wings are really good it’s a def. must try they were really good! For me I liked it a lot just because it has a familiar taste that I can’t quite describe of exactly what it is but seems like I had something similar to it before. The gravy fries seemed okay it’s a bit heavy for me. The burger is another must have on the menu it’s not like your typical burger! Seasoned so well! I also had gotten the buttermilk fried chicken this was pretty good but the downside of it was that it wasn’t cooked all the way so the meat was still pink! Plates are a pretty big size so if you’re sharing 1 app and 2 entrees are good enough! Service here is on point!

Came here a couple times during lunch. I don’t know what else to say besides — AMAZING. Literarily there is not a single thing that’s not good on the menu. I had the burger with the miso marinate — it was so good. The flavor is on point and the fries makes everything so much better! The Phở sandwich is very unique, and those wings are delicioussss. Definitely one of those places that you NEED to try and it’ll keep you going back. Only thing is that it’s not great for a big group, espcially during prime lunch time. We had 6 of us crunching around a table meant for 4. And there’s always a line. But worth it!

Very good Turkey Ruben($ 11), Burger($ 16), and Cobb Salad($ 13). Everything I want seems more than twice as expensive as I think it should cost. The good news is that I went against my best judgement and gave the place a try. It’s hole-in-the-wall exterior greatly contrasts the vibe inside– and each one of those items I listed at first gets 10⁄10 in taste. You’re paying for a quality meal, and the service has been exceptional every time I’ve ordered to go or decided to dine-in. Truly delicious meals– has me saving up for the next lunch trip. PS– another HUGE plus is the simplicity of ordering on their website.

My biggest foodie«discovery» since moving back to Boston after 5 years away has been Strip-T’s in Watertown MA, which is conveniently located a few blocks from my job near the Arsenal Mall, and has become a regular lunchtime hangout. Of course, discovered is a strange thing to say about a restaurant that has been around for almost 30 years. But apparently during those 5 years away, I completely missed the«golden years» at Strip-T’s, when son Tim Maslow(who recently became one of Food & Wine’s «Best New Chefs of 2015») returned to transform the family’s tiny steak sandwich shop into a destination restaurant. But I missed that, and now that you have to go to Tim’s Ribelle in Brookline for all that creativity, Strip-T’s was first given a small all-day sandwich/fried chicken/burger menu last fall, with a few nightly specials thrown in. And now the dinner menu has been further revised to a «Izakaya-ish» menu of small plates and ramen, although retaining a few of the signature dishes, like the excellent burger. However, if you want to try their justly famous roasted cauliflower sandwich. or the outstanding fried chicken, you’ll have to do lunch(there is a small Asian-influenced fried chicken dish on the dinner menu). Anyway, we made it to Strip-T’s for the first time to try the new Izakaya menu last night. If you follow them on Instagram, you know that they are taking full advantage of soft shell crab season in their specials, and we really enjoyed last night’s version(which was prepared using the same recipe as their outstanding fried chicken!). Both bowls of ramen we ordered, shoyu & smoked miso broths, were great. But I particularly loved the smoked miso which was bursting with umami flavor. Dessert tasted as good as it reads. ~Vergano Americano, seltzer + lemon($ 12) ~Roz’s sangria, with citrus, tropical fruit, berries, wild ginger, vermouth, red wine, bubbles($ 12) ~Ramen, with char-sou, mena, soy egg, ray, greens, scallion, nori, and shoyu or smoked miso broth($ 15) ~Chocolate cake, layered with caramelized white chocolate ganache, pretzel crumbs(complementary) Service, as always, was perfect(thanks Laurie and friends!). No reservations, and it always gets packed, so go early for easy street parking out front and no wait. One of my favorite Boston-area restaurants!

My sister works nearby so we decided to try them out for dinner. There were no open tables left so we were seated at the bar which I liked since I could see some of the chefs working. I ordered their namesake burger while my sister got their ox tail salad and Japanese sweet potato fries while her coworker got their ramen. It took over an hour for our food which they apologized for by offering us their dashi chips(good, but really salty). This all would have been ok if the food actually warrented the long wait. I ordered my burger medium rare and it tasted as if it sat out for too long. By the time it reached us, it was well past medium, cool, and just didn’t impress flavor wise for how much it was. I did enjoy their crispy house-made fries(a lot more so than the burger itself). As for the other dishes, my sister’s ox tail salad was really delicious. The meat was really tender and the grilled lettuce complemented it very well. The ramen was decent and the broth was comparable to what’s offered at H mart honestly, but more expensive so not really worth it. What dampened the experience was at the end of our meal. The restaurant was close to closing and the staff were hurrying to get their dinners out. I am all for a lax environment, but they were able to push out so much food for themselves but took forever on ours… Just made us wonder. Food: 3 Value: 2 Service: 2.5

A great place to get a unique sandwich for lunch! Don’t let the name fool you, you can get a quality meal at Strip T’s in Watertown. I know it sounds like it’s either a strip club or a dirty robs joint, but neither are the case. This restaurant is family operated and was more of a diner type of place years ago. Then the son of the owner went to culinary school and totally revamped the place. I hear dinner is reservation only and very classy, but lunch is pretty laid back. It is within walking. Distance of some large companies, so it is typically packed by noon on a weekday. Since it’s small– it’s best to head over at 11:45 or after 1. They also do take out(not delivery) of you call ahead. My favorites are the fried cauliflower sandwich and the Japanese eggplant banh mi. Also the nyc’s phở real is also delicious. For sides– go with the fried sweet potato wedges for sure.

After more than a year, we finally come back! But only to find out now they offer only three plates at dinner, with many many sandwiches on the menu. No problem — we come for the fried chicken anyways! We had the grilled romaine like last year — got even better this time! The charred romaine together with the oxtail neef is so so tasty and appetizing. Perfect start! However, the fried chicken is not the same as what remains in our memories. They are three tiny pieces whereas last time we got three big pieces. Fine, as long as they taste good. I had the first bite — the crust is as crispy as before, but the meat is a little dry and a little too salty. Where is the juicy, fleshy fried chicken that I had here one year ago? I almost cried. It’s still tasty but nowhere near one year ago. That being said, we will still come back. It’s still the best fried chicken we can get.

A friend and I split the Moxie wings, a fried cauliflower sandwich, and a NY Phở Real sandwich. All were delicious and worth getting again. The Moxie wings were perfectly cook, with the meat incredibly moist and falling off the bone. The sauce was very good, with a sweet and tangy vibe to it, but not BBQ sauce. Hard to describe, but it’s definitely worth as an app for two(came with about 8 wings) The cauliflower sandwich was packed with flavor, with the pickled peppers, broccoli rabe, provolone cheese, and the fried cauliflower. If you like the super tart, this is your sandwich. The NY Phở Real was also very delicious, but couldn’t compete with the cauliflower.

I’ve been hearing great things about these guys for so long, and finally swung by when it wasn’t crowded(11:30ish on a Saturday morning). Loved it and look forward to going back. The deets: FOOD: Short, sweet menu. Two of us split gravy fries(had surprise cheese on them – I don’t actually like cheese on my gravy fries, but it was fine). Gravy so good. Then we also each tried to have a sandwich and could only manage half: I got the eggplant banh mi, he got the lamb with lebneh. Both as good as sandwiches get, full of flavor, fresh, fun textures. Good leftover too :) AMBIENCE: It’s not designed for lingering comfy meals, but it’s a cheerful, sort of industrial, space and the high ceilings make it feel open even though there’s not really much space. Noise level was okay while we were there but I could see how it might get loud with the vaulted ceilings and all the metal. SERVICE: Everyone was super friendly. Good vibes. We were one of two tables when we arrived, there were 3 staff visible in *addition* to our server, and it took aaaages to get our order in. Hence the one star off. Reasonably priced, street parking was amply available when we stopped by, and the food was unpretentious but very well crafted. Yay!

New favorite place in Boston. Casual, excellent service and a unique experience with the food. Love places that do not pretend to be the fanciest place on earth with too expensive meals with descriptions that nobody understands. This place puts a lot attention to their food and every little detail on it. The best. We got the moxie wings, a blended wine from southern france, the hamburger, the caesar salad and we closed with a layered chocolate cake and coffee. Everything was perfect, unique and had great flavor. The only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t get a piece of that buttermilk pie that everybody seemed to be eating except us! We will have to come back.
