Glen Dairy Bar

Everything here is great and super-​sized! Great prices for what you get! I was on a trip at Watkins Glen State Park recently with my boyfriend and we were hungry after our hike but wanted something quick. We found this place on here and was so glad we did! We got the texas hot dog and the mile high turkey club. We were so surprised with how big the sandwich was! We couldn’t finish it all! I also got the soft serve and the small is the size of a huge! Can’t beat that!

This tiny dairy bar sold solid sandwiches (boars head meats). The little guys got hot dogs which were served on toasted buns. It was pretty expensive for us to have lunch this the 4 stars.

The portions are so generous and they serve incredible ice cream! If only we stopped earlier in the week so we could have had even more joy!!!

Absolutely terrible service. We were from out of town trying to find a quick meal. When we walked into the inside of the «restaurant» a lady was knitting and watching TV. She did not smile or greet us in any way, shape, or form. She acted completely put-​off by the fact that we had interrupted her knitting and daily dose of Soaps. If you want to own a business, treat your customers with some respect.

This place is located very close to the Watkins Glen State Park and is a nice stop if you’re craving something sweet after the hike. They have a variety of ice cream flavors, soft serve, shakes, blizzards, sundaes, etc. The list goes on and on. Nice outdoor seating area too.
I definitely enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake more than the blizzard. The blizzard didn’t have the right balance of the toppings and the soft serve — in fact, there were too many toppings… just felt like there was a bunch of heath and pulverized butterfinger in my mouth :) The milkshake on the other hand was smooth… just wish there were more pieces of cookie dough! It was like finding a needle in a haystack! Anyway, more cookie dough would have been awesome! We ALL know that’s the best part.

I kid you not, best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life after many years of happily indulging in ice cream from time to time! Peanut butter tracks I believe it was and blueberry pie — wow!!! Must try. MUST

There’s something so simple and old-​fashioned about this roadside ice cream stop. Drive up, order from the outside window, hop back in your car or enjoy the cool outdoor seating just to the right of the establishment.
No fuss, no muss, no gimmicks. The ice cream is silky, great, comes in a variety of flavors, both hard and soft, and the whole atmosphere just screams of lazy summer days.
