5 Stars for the help and service I received on my 1 visit here. I had a problem with my RV leveler feet sinking into the sandy soft soil at the RV site I am at. I bought plastic blocks(due to light weight) to solve the problem. They didn’t work. I was on the hunt for some 12×12×2 wood blocks to do the job. I arrived at this Ace Hardware and walked right to the lumber yard. I was greeted by 2 employees right away and they both asked if I needed help. I asked if they had a scrap wood pile I could look at. They pointed to a pile and one said — I would still have to pay for wood from there — I said that is my intention if I can find what I need. The pile had a perfect 12′ long 12×2 pressure treated. I asked If I could get some pieces cut from that one — reply was no problem — .50 a cut. I said I need 6 pieces. The gentleman told me I would have to buy whole board. I said great cut the whole thing in 12″ pieces and I’ll give some to others at the park that must be having same problem. The wood was heavy and I offered to carry it and the man would not let me help. As he was cutting I saw he was having back pain and I offered to do the jig setting and he declines. Then he carry’s ½ the wood to the car when I told him I’d come back to get the rest. I got the wood for 9 bucks(½ normal price) and then just paid 50 cents a cut.(I’d have been sawing all day with my hand saw). It was a great deal. The people here are very helpful and hard working and friendly. I gave him a nice tip and told him he better get some cold ones to ease that back. I’ll gladly return to this store if I need anything
