Today, Rich and Mike from Mattress World delivered my new King Koil XL350. I CAN’T say anything negative about the delivery service or the salesman either. They are not a high pressure sales tactic store. They don’t push you into one mattress, in our case he started us on their lowest price mattress and we moved to each level and explained each mattresses features. We settled on this mattress. They might not advertise so you don’t hear of them but you should go to them first before you think of the big box store. You will be pleasantly surprised! !!!

The reason I had a bad experience at this mattress store was because of the salesman. He tried to be very manipulative, hiding prices from me and showing me beds that were out of my price range when I’d clearly stated it at the beginning of our conversation. I’m a recent college graduate, and now that I have my first salaried job, I can afford to upgrade from my childhood twin-size bed into a nicer, new full-size. My budget was $ 400– like many, I can’t afford to spend much more. The salesman at Mattress World bristled at this number and tried to make me feel insecure about being frugal. He then took me to a bed without any price markings and, ignoring my immediate questions about price, urged me to try it out. After a minute he finally told me that it was $ 100 over my price point. Not okay. Then he took me to another unmarked bed, which I liked better. He again waited to tell me the price, took out a calculator and begrudgingly offered it to me for exactly $ 400(the calculator thing seemed like an act). It made me nervous, not knowing what the price was before– was it actually a $ 350 mattress, and he was ripping me off? I left. I just felt too uncomfortable with the whole situation.
