Took way longer than expected to get our pizzas. No water refills.

15 year Anniversary dinner pizza… My husband scored simply the very best!(Wet)fresh regggina with soppressata… So delicious! Margherita is also the so good it’s crazy! We get it for the kids but only because the adults are addicted to the«wet one“The folks that work there/owners are so nice and cool! So excited to have this spot in our neighborhood. Get this pizza here if you are a foodie! Alarmingly good! Great neighborly customer service is super appriciate too!

Fantastic pizza 10⁄10. The Covaccino pizza was out of this world with the paper thin prosciutto and shaved parm, you can really tell they get the best ingredients. The crust on both pizzas we ordered was charred and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside — perfect. Best pizza on the Main Line

Outstanding pizza and extremely friendly people. Just order one pizza at a time since you want to eat each slice hot out of the oven.

Excellent pizza in Wayne. The menu is small, which means they really concentrate on the quality of the things they do make. All pizzas are 12″. We ordered one white pizza and one margherita, and it was plenty for two adults and two kids(11 and 9). Service was good, too. It wasn’t too busy when we went, so I don’t know how the service is when the restaurant is packed.

Great pizza. Great people. What else could you ask for? Sat at table near the kitchen with three kids. Frank(owner) engaged them, amused them and gave them great pizza. This should be on everyone’s list.

Pizza was good but the bottom was burnt. Salad was quality, but very simple and boring. Just like the menu. Now that I have been here why would I come back? There is nothing else on the menu, just simple pizza and salad. And for those prices I can do just as well down the street at Paola’s. If they expand the menu perhaps we will try again.

This is quite possibly the best pizza I ever had. The Regina Mozzarella pizza is incredible and the staff is super pleasant.

Came here as a result of the place across the street having a long wait. Comparable pizza product, so I was excited all the same. They keep their menu simple which is nice as we thought it might be an indicator of extreme specialization. We ordered the Regina pizza. Unfortunately it came out soggy wet, so we asked for something else. The restaurant was generous in replacing the pizza completely on the house. The replacement pizza was a margherita. It was pretty good, but not enough to come back for alone since the dough is so thin, one person can easily finish a pie at $ 12 and then another. and…well you get the point. The docking of the stars is as a result of the pizza, and the perceived attitude of the gentleman who spoke with us. He was borderline insulting and insisting that the server must have explained these expectations — which she did not, and the pizza was wet because of the cheese. It spoiled the experience. A sophisticated cook knows pizza crust is never suppose to be soggy because of the ingredients and there are ways to avoid the buffalo mozz along with the sauce being so wet to the point of a wet pie. I would never return to this place for the attitude alone. I wanted to love this addition to Wayne Ave. but this place is not for me. The atmosphere is nice and updated, and casual. If visiting in the winter, sit away from the door, as there is frequently a cold current from incoming/outgoing customers. Did not use the restrooms. They have a wood fired oven inside.

Last night was my second visit to Vecchia and this place is the real deal. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of eating pizza in Italy, you will see this as the excellent value it is. Three of us shared two pizzas(the Regina and the White Pizza) which are 12″ — so 2 pies for 3 people is about perfect, depending on your appetite. This is artisan pizza with a delicious crust and premium ingredients. Frank, the owner, was busy on a Saturday night but makes a point to visit us and make sure we’re happy. We are. I took a Nero D’avola called NERO(Pa Wine & Spirits) and it’s a perfect pairing. I agree with my guests and other reviewers, that Vecchia would do well to add another salad(Spinach or Caesar) or an Antipasto that would add a little variety with ingredients that he mostly has on hand anyway. Seems like it would be a win-win as restauranteurs can only make so much $ with a byob pizza place in the high rent district of Wayne. Tip: Frank makes some of his best pies late in the evening when the oven is hottest.

I am thrilled that the second location for this restaurant is blocks from my house. The first location in Phoenixville was great but now I can walk there! Yes folks there are a lot of pizza options in Wayne. However, this is exceptional pizza. The pies made by Frank and his team are far different than any other place I’ve been to in the area. Every pizza here is top notch. The oven was built by Italians with materials that they brought over with them and you can taste the difference. The pies are ready in minutes because of how hot the oven gets. They come out perfect and you can taste the wood fired deliciousness. There are only a few menu items here. If you want buffalo chicken pizza or some other bizarre concoction than this is not the place for you. They do traditional pizzas with quality ingredients. Order one pizza per person if you’ve got a decent appetite. It will cost more than Dominos or Papa Johns but it’s worth every penny. Stop bitching about the price people. Typically I only order pizza. The salad is as simple as it gets. Good but nothing fancy in any way. It’s lettuce and some veggies with oil and vinegar. There are no chicken tenders or spaghetti or anything else. They make good pizza and that’s it. I only give four stars because the service is not five star. The waiters are nice enough but they make mistakes and can be too casual. I’ve waited for service and had mistakes made(which are fixed) so that’s why no five stars. The owner is super nice and loves what he does. He can explain the difference in the water between his two restaurants and how it effects his dough. You won’t get that level of commitment to craft at other pizza shops on the main line. The first restaurant won awards for its pizza and it’s the same quality at this location. Go and enjoy!!!

I really wanted to give this place four stars but the Regina pizza was a little disappointing. I understand it has buffalo mozzarella which produces a wetter pizza but the sauce on the pizza was underwhelming. Since the mozzarella produces a wetter pizza, the sauce was watery and bland. This pizza would be a lot better if the sauce was a little thicker and had more flavor. The buffalo mozzarella on the pizza was very good though. We also enjoyed the white pizza which was delicious. It had fresh garlic and the crust on both pizzas was wonderful. We enjoyed the atmosphere and décor.

Literally the best pizza I’ve ever tasted in my life. Many many times in phoenixville and now Wayne, always out of this world, for the people saying it’s expensive I guess that goes with the territory. Try it first.

Our party of 6 ate here on rainy Wednesday night so it was somewhat slow. Frankly so was the service. I know it’s authentic Neapolitan but I left here hungry. 2 of us split an 8 slice pizza which normally– 2 pieces and I am full. I had 4 pieces and some of the salad they placed on the table and was still hungry. With that said if it were the only thing I could adjust but I was annoyed the Margarita PIzza was not as pictured. 3 tiny, scrawny pieces of basil topped the pizza. Not enough to get the basil flavor in the pizza. 6 in our party commented that they couldn’t taste any sauce on their pizza. Vecchia says they use Marzano. None of us could tell. To be fair, the cheese was more than adequate and we all enjoyed that part. Overall, I would give this place a chance again in a few months. I wish the owner good luck and I know if in a town crowded with Pizzerias he addresses some of these items, he will hopefully succeed.

My wife and I have been to Vecchia twice since they’ve opened and hope to become regulars. I certainly agree with other reviewers that it is expensive, but I believe that you are paying for wonderful ingredients and an authentic style of Neapolitan wood fired pizza that can’t be found anywhere else in the area. They have limited menu options, but their focus on simplicity is what makes this place special. I’ve now tried each of their pies, and I prefer the the Regina Margerhita(made with beautiful fresh buffalo mozzarella) and the Covaccino which is piled with arugula, prosciutto and shaved parmigiano cheese. The pizzas are made in front of you and they come out of the oven smoking hot with a nice blistered crust. I like their authenticity and their attention to detail. To me, I’d rather have someone do few things exceptionally well, than someone do everything mediocre. My only constructive piece of feedback would be on the salad: they offer a very simple house salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. I would love to see them add a nice ceasar or spruce up the house salad. Overall, I would recommend that others try Vecchia. I do not think it is for everyone, as the pizza is different than other Main Line staples, but it is certainly my favorite pie in the area.

Quite expensive! Had the two pies that I read were the«must haves» Regina Margarita and covaccino. They only make one size pie 12″. The margarita was plain. Nothing special. The covaccino was ok. Quality ingredients(prosciutto, mozzarella, and shaved Parmesan.) crust was not the same as the first pie. A little less cooked. And on top of that $ 19 is just a bit much for a pizza only big enough for one person. Also I found it near impossible to find information about the place. No website or online menu. I called to ask where I might find it and was told to look on facebook. No such luck and I never have a problem researching pizza places. They need to make a bigger pie for the $ and then this might be a better value.

Vecchia is the second pizzeria to open up in Wayne in the past month. I actually like Vecchia better than Arde when it comes to the quality of the pizza. Both have high quality ingredients, but the crust at Vecchia is significantly better and it seems like the staff is more experienced in the art of pizza. Vecchia’s price point is also lower the competition across the street. The space is smaller, the menu is more focused, and the place had a much warmer vibe. Like Arde, this place was mobbed with people. We actually placed a take out order. When I arrived the pick up my order, the ticket must of been misplaced, but I give the chefs credit, I was out the door within 5 minutes with our pizzas.
