Went with my mother in law this past year. Our lunch was delicious and the free little extras were great. Beautiful little place to stop by while shopping in town.

Nice little café in downtown Waynesville where store after store features things you don’t need. OK — I realize that’s a man’s point of view. This is actually the land of «cute» merchandise — a word you hear often as you negotiate these small mom and pop stores. Cobblestone Café is kind of a sophisticated Cracker Barrel on steroids — you have to pick your way through the store before you get to the food. The reward is good solid food prefaced by complimentary muffins and concluded with chai tea, served in cups you might see in a dollhouse. You can’t go wrong with anything here but I kind of wish they had breakfast food on the menu as well. They’ve got a great selection of coffee and home made maple syrup but — alas — no waffles or pancakes.

Cobblestone Café is a must if visiting Waynesville! It’s totally a chick place but don’t let it fool you, the coolest of men eat here too!

Loved it! It’s very cute restaurant. They give you a small tasty cranberry muffin to start you off, warm and gooey. Had the southern bell sandwich which was tender chicken with bbq sauce and peach. Very unique and flavorful sandwich. Also got to try the portobello French dip sandwich which was also very juice. who doesn’t love mushroom and ribeye steak. Homemade chips and a complimentary chai tea to warm you up, leaving you feeling happy!

Super yummy! We had the zucchini fritters as an appetizer and I got the southern belle for lunch — chicken sandwich with peach barbecue sauce. Once of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had with really fresh ingredients. Give it a try!

I liked all of the«healthy» options at this small town restaurant. The menu was very unique. I tried the asparagus sandwich based off our waiter’s suggestion and I was not disappointed! The waiter and boy host were extremely friendly and helpful, telling us salad dressing recipes and also ghost tales they had heard about this haunted town. Also the chai tea latte was delicious and way better than the Starbucks version! I definitely recommend this place for people visiting waynesville.

Love this place. The food is excellent(I’m a fan of the salmon pot pie). So great to eat food that is actually cooked: not short order, not reheated from GFS, not delivered in a plastic pillow and warmed. You can be healthy… or not! The chef is creative, and the management provides lots of nice little touches, like mini muffins when you sit down, an iced tea of the day, and little chais after you eat. It serves as a wonderful place to meet between Cincy, Columbus, and Dayton.(It is a little on the ladies-who-lunch side of the spectrum, but not too-too).

Wonderful server, Adam. His recommendations were spot on. The mushroom crepes and asparagus sandwich were delicious.

A wonderful place to go if you’re in the Waynesville area. The food and service were excellent and unexpectedly sophisticated. The mushroom/cheese ragout crepes and the black bean wrap can be highly recommended. It is a shame there was no wine menu — wine would have made a great accompaniment to the cuisine. The only other quibble is the«gift shop» atmosphere. It sort of has a bit of a Cracker Barrel feel with having to go through a gift shop to get to the restaurant and then most of the decorations(Laura Ashley/arts & crafts) having price tags dangling from them. Still, the food is worth it…

If you are looking for something different, I highly recommend Cobblestone Café in Waynesville. Both the food and service are fantastic! Every meal starts with a freshly baked mini muffin and ends with a tiny cup of chai tea. What is served in between is nothing short of amazing. The freshness of the food really shines through in the flavor and a lot of the summer produce and garnish comes straight from the owners’ organic garden! My suggestions include the grilled asparagus sandwich, mushroom crepes and a key lime tart for dessert.

We decided to try this place because of all the great reviews on Unilocal. We were not disappointed! We split the Crab Cakes and Honey Beef French dip sandwich and they were both soooo good. The seared tuna appetizer was delicious as well. The desert tray they brought around looked fantastic but we were too full! To top off your meal you get a complimentary chai latte and citrus cranberry mini muffins. Take advantage of the ten dollar coupon on Unilocal as well! Would highly recommend!

Unilocal, of course, helped us foodie gem in Waynesville. When we walked in my husband and I cringed a little, at the décor fearing its preciousness meant bland chicken salad sandwiches on croissants. But we plunged ahead and we were greatly rewarded. The menu is inventive, fresh and amazingly tasty. I had crab cakes(which I seldom get as I’m usually disappointed) you could taste the crab and subtle spices. They came on a fresh bed of greens with beautiful heirloom tomatoes. My husband had a burger which he swore was a 10 on the food scale. We ordered dessert and were beyond impressed with the chai tea home made ice cream and ginger snap cookie. Great service Next time I’m trying the house made soup!

The dynamic duo burgers were totally worth it! The service was good, the venue was nice, and the burgers, like I mentioned before, were on point! They were seriously better than a lot of self-proclaimed extraordinary burger chains.

Had a brunch with friends and we’ve been following the chef Aimee Saling wherever she goes as her menus and cooking is truly inspirational to the taste bud! If you haven’t tried it, you must as you’ll be begging for more with each bite! Great service and atmosphere. I highly recommend.

We are regulars here and this is a wonderful place to eat. The menu is creative and upscale with small town prices. This place is my moms favorite place and the service is outstanding. It is connected with a beautiful gift shop too. Stop here in beautiful downtown Waynesville and enjoy this epicurean experience.

Nice little place. Offers complimentary muffin to start off and complimentary chia tea to complete the meal. Definitely not a guys restaurant. No comfort foods offered(not even French fries) a bit on the pricey side with a bowl of soup tagged at five bucks, and the cheapest salad at 8.95. About a half dozen or so sandwich items at 10.95 and up. Sides that accompany the sandwiches are either fruit(grapes) or potato chips(from a bag) Restaurant menu definitely designed for Weight conscious gals I guess? The ladies will love the place … Guys, best pass on it and Go elsewhere, as this is basically a tea room in disguise.

My husband and I wanted to eat lunch in Waynesville, and turned to Unilocal for a suggestion — and I’m SO glad we did! This little bistro was delicious. Everyone gets a tiny muffin to start with, and a tiny cup of chai to end with. Both were yummy, and I always appreciate a free treat! My water came with a slice of cucumber — this place pays attention to the little details, and it shows in the deliciousness of their food. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with breaded zuchinni and tomato salsa, with fresh fruit. This was definitely a superb grilled cheese sandwich, and I appreciated the REAL fresh fruit on the side — not just chopped up melon. My husband ordered the fried chicken & spicy slaw sandwich, and said it was the best fried chicken sandwich he’d ever had in his life, no questions asked. He said he would gladly make the 45 minute drive to Waynesville for this sandwich, any day of the week. I would really give it 4.5 stars — ½ star was knocked off for kind of slow service and the fact that tables nearby arrived after us and received their food first. I have a feeling it was slow because they really focus on providing high quality food, but it was still kind of slow. Bottom line — check this place out, it is a real gem!

Quaint. Cozy. Great place to take your mom. ;)(or a girls’ weekend shopping/lunch event) This is a kitschy home nicknack/decoration shop with a café. I didn’t spend much time in the shop area, but they had just about every holiday themed home decoration item possibly conceivable. The food in the café is from their organic garden! Tons of vegetarian options like mini ‘bella sliders and grilled asparagus sandwiches. Yum! The dessert is really good and they’ve won awards for it. Service was excellent.

Adorable little café/gift shop(note the bigger emphasis on gifts here) in what appears to be an antique district. While in town for a convention miles, and miles away, I decided to drop by since the menu promised multiple vegetarian options. And I’m very glad I did. This little place oozes with charm. There are knick knacks and decorations and things everywhere — for sale. It sounds like it could be tacky, but I kind of enjoyed looking at a wall of clocks while I ate my meal. And about my meal… I had a really good asparagus sandwich. It came with a couple measly pieces of fruit which may have hurt the presentation.(others around me were getting huge slices of pineapple but my couple pieces of cantaloupe were dwarfed by my sandwich) But… the great part of this meal came when I ordered dessert. Seeing a sign that boasted«winner of best dessert in Wayne county» I felt like I needed to try something. So I got a rich and velvety chocolate mousse cake. It was pretty incredible. But what was even more incredible was the tiny portion of chai tea that came a long with it. Although it was 90+ degrees outside, the tea along with the dessert were a nice way to finish my meal. This little spot is definitely worth checking out if you’re passing through the area!
