In shopping for a mattress, I did my homework first exploring ratings on mattresses as well as suitable places. Haywood Bedding advertised great discounts, specifically for cash and carry. In addition, any purchase over $ 599 gave the customer their choice of free delivery, pillows, or a bed frame. I like to shop local businesses so this looked perfect. I found a mattress and foundation set that was perfect with a small(12%) discount. I was to be charged $ 69.00 for delivery. When I referred to the ad, Danny said that he hadn’t looked at the website. I called later to make arrangements and asked that if I paid for delivery, I’d like the bedframe. They called me back to tell me that that ad was supposed to have been pulled! They would give me the bedframe but I would still have to pay for delivery and would get no discount on the mattress set. Do these people not realize that: a) False advertising is subject to penalties and b) It was such an incredibly dumb move to work at losing a customer instantly that it doesn’t even rise to the level of bad business. After I heard Haywood’s terms, I went to another store and bought the same mattress set. Yes, they are new in town and offered me both free delivery and a bedframe in addition to fair pricing.
