Queen’s Farm Stables

What an incredible experience! We had three adults and two children ages 8 and 10. Richard was very knowledgable and was most concerned that we were all safe and having a great time. Definitely go with the longer ride. If there wasn’t so much else to do around here, I’d go back again today. I highly recommend this stable.

Sad, sad scene.
Regretfully these were the poorest stable conditions that I have EVER encountered. The horses we noticeably under-​fed and not properly cared for with ribs showing and huge bloody saddle sores underneath from lack of proper rotation and turnout after ride. Flys were eating away at all the horses… a really unfortunate situation that my family witnessed. It’s worth it to drive and pay more money elsewhere rather than giving this owner any more money. It’s very apparent that he spends more money on his chain smoking rather than caring for his animals.
I personally can highly recommend Riverside Riding Stables in Lake Lure (ask for Tammy) or Shoal Creek Stables in DuPont Forest near Brevard.

Took our family for the long ride (1 hour 45 minutes for $ 35/​person) and it was fantastic and a great deal.
My wife and I have been on horses before, our daughters (9 & 11) hadn’t ridden solo without being led. We went with another family that had a mix of the same. All of the horses were bomb proof and our guide Mark did a wonderful job knowing where everyone was and making the kids feel at ease.
We will definitely be back.

This was a great place to ride! I feel horrible I don’t remember my tour guides name but he was wonderful. We drove an hour to get here and it was worth every mile. I would highly recommend this business, they are super nice and provide a great trail ride. The guides are very knowledgeable and are all about safety. The horses appear to be well cared for and very gentle. My 6 year old daughter rode her own horse and did awesome.
Also, their prices are very reasonable.
