When my friends need to get outfitted with gear, this is where I send them first. Greg is always helpful and ready with an answer for any repair questions, or outfitting questions in general. I’ve never heard anything but GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! who takes my advice and gets by his shop in Webster Groves to fill their camping /​climbing /​accessory needs.
Such a great resource for anyone in or around St. Louis who is looking for gently used or refurbished gear on the cheap for their next outdoor adventure!

A small and warm space filled from floor to ceiling with reasonably priced, high quality, outdoor goods. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Showed me how to set up the tent I purchased, sized a pack for me, and thoroughly answered any question I had. New gear arrives weekly, so I will be back again and again to get some great stuff for my next outdoor outing.

My first review was from the opening week. Now the store has an expanded inventory with cool stuff for outdoorsey people and not-​so-​outdoorsey people (like me). The prices are reasonable and Greg (the owner) is super helpful. Greg has also been having events at the store on the weekends, so you may want to give him a call to see what he has planned.

Old Mountains is an up and coming climbing and camping gear store. Climbing gear is new and camping gear is used and sold on consignment. Old Mountains is the only store in the Midwest to sell Verve climbing wear. Verve is all the rage out west. It’s all hand made from organic cotton in Colorado. They make awesome sports bras that are super flattering.
Learn where to go camping and climbing in Missouri. Greg (the owner) is a wealth of knowledge!
