Not even worth 50% off breakfast and that is what brought me in. I walk in at 7:05am and I’m the first person. Waitress does say hello and I tell her just water for me. When she comes over with the water she ask if I need a menu. Not sure why she just didn’t bring a menu. Anyways, I order an omelette with Extra Cheese and mushrooms. When my order comes there is barely any cheese on it. The waitress never comes back to check on me but the cook does. When she ask how everything is I tell her it’s disappointing because I ordered extra cheese. No apology… She simply walks away and says«oh». No offer to bring out any cheese. Waiters then comes over and says when you really want extra cheese you have to ask for extra … extra cheese. LOL! She tells me she is deducting 10% but it’s to late for me for this Friendly’s. Never again!

Awful! Went here on a Saturday for breakfast. Waited a few minutes to be acknowledged. One waitress walked pasted us and into the kitchen. More waiting. Finally saw said waitress again and asked if we sat ourselves or wait to be seated. She quickly seated us and MORE waiting. We checked on the little machine at the table if we had to order on there, but couldn’t find the breakfast menu. More waiting. Waitresses walking around who didn’t seem to care that there customers in the restaurant. Finally, we decided to go elsewhere and left. Just awful service.

Much improved from the old days. The service was a mess, but the food was ok.

Great little Friendly’s. I cant go four stars, because we just had ice cream. Brought the kids and niece for ice cream on a hot August day. I asked if we could eat our ice cream inside, because it was so hot. The server at the window allowed it, even though they don’t usually do that. The place was small, clean, and had some really neat old school pictures on the wall. The servers all seemed really nice and friendly. I would go back for dinner with the family and give it a try.

This was our first visit to this particular Friendly’s. It’s one of those older ones that are very narrow with a couple long sets of booths, a table for larger groups in the back, and an ice cream window on the side. So why only 2 stars? There is no hostess stand here. There was no greeter. The person who appeared to be the manager was too busy handling ice cream orders with another employee to notice us. We were the only people waiting to be seated, but it was five minutes before anyone acknowledged us or seated us. The person who did seat us didn’t give us the ‘2-for-20′ special cards, which gave me the impression that they were actively discouraging people from ordering those specials. Once seated, it was between 15 and 20 minutes before our waitress was able to take our order.(There was one ‘I’ll be with you shortly’ comment as the waitress ran by, but that was about 10 minutes before she finally came to the table.) We could see that other customers were sitting waiting for service as well. When we placed our order, I asked for a substitution of mashed potatoes for the french fries. The waitress answered ‘we don’t have that anymore’. I’ve gotten them all the time at other locations. If Friendly’s is really phasing yet another option from their menu then that’s a bad move. The waitresses weren’t slacking. They were working hard, both waiting on customers and busing tables. It bugs me that Friendly’s doesn’t have busboys as much anymore. They put too much of the burden on the shoulders of the wait staff. So why not 1 star? Once we did order, the food arrived very quickly, which probably makes sense since it was 3:30PM and the place wasn’t especially busy. And the food was as good as it usually is.

So I am currently sitting in the restaurant. So we came in with a party of 6 but they couldn’t seat all 6 of us together because they where having a managers meeting in the back… So instead they but us in two adjacent booths with a divider splitting our party in two. The menus where sticky, and covered in God knows what. So the next thing that happened was that the waiter did not have any idea what was on the menu and told us that prt of our meal was not actually on the two for twenty menu… It was. The first water we got tasted fine but the second water tastes like they scooped it out of a pool. They forgot to refill our ketchup so we had to steal one from another table. They also only gave us enough silverware for 4 out of our 6 people. Long story short take your money to McDonalds.

On Tuesday my boyfriend and I came here for dinner at 5pm. We ordered our sodas as soon as we sat down, but it took the waitress over 10 minutes to bring them over. When she finally came over we placed our order. We both ordered the Baja Burger and I specifically asked for no tomato on mine. Immediately after we ordered, at least 10 employees, including our waitress, were sitting on the other side goofing off and sitting down at tables. It then took over 30 minutes for us to even get our food(the place wasn’t busy at all either) and when it arrived the waitress immediately left. I nibbled on a few fries before noticing not only were we out of ketchup, but my burger had tomato on it and my burger was pink inside. Not once did our waitress come and check on us so I could even discuss these issues with her, instead she chose to hang out with her co workers and continue to gossip and goof off. When she finally did return approximately 20 minutes later we had finished. I told her about the issues and she immediately threw her co-worker under the bus saying he must’ve missed her note. She didn’t even offer a sincere apology. We then ordered dessert which also took a ridiculously long time to arrive for some simple ice creams. She left the bill with us when she came and served our ice cream. About 5 minutes later she returned while we were still eating our ice cream and literally snatched the bill off the table without a word and began to walk away, so I immediately told her we hadn’t even paid yet! She put the bill back on the table and said«my bad» and quickly scurried away again. Hands down the WORST service I’ve ever had. It took us a hour and a half to have our dinner and dessert because of this piss poor service. We will not be returning. Note to the employees: less goofing off, more taking care of your customers.

This location has a serious identity crisis on its hands, it can’t decide whether it wants to be good or bad, but it seems to be impartial most of the time to leaning toward«bad». There really is not much to say that hasn’t already been said, but if you haven’t noticed the pitiful star and a half average rating or read another of the other reviews, here are some highlights from my most recent, and probably last, visit to this restaurant(April 11th, 2014) — No wait on a Friday night. We arrived a quarter past six. The dinner crowd hour. If the restaurant is at half capacity roughly at this time, that should be a red flag right off the bat. — Waitress was polite but very disorganized. For the first time in memory, a waitress had to come back and admit she forgot our order. Like, didn’t write it down. I thought the most important part of being a waiter/tress was… taking orders correctly. Although, she did compensate for this with a free two scoop ice cream. — Food was okay. Not bad but nothing to write home about. — The clientle here is(no offense) pretty darn sketchy. I won’t go into any further details. Just take my word. Those are my highlights. I’m sorry, but is anyone really surprised this company went bankrupt? Dine at your own leisure/risk.

As far as friendlys goes this one pretty much meets the standard. The wait can be long, food takes a while to come out. If you are lucky and get a good waiter, scott at this one is pretty good, the service is decent. The thing is kids love friendlys. It’s tough to get away from it if you have young kids. You have to kind of keep your expectations in line with where you are. Kick back and have fun hanging out with your family and don’t sweat the small stuff like if your food comes out perfect.

Went 4 hours ago and I’m still sitting on the toilet so there’s that. On another note, our waitress was nice but a little pushy, it was lake so perhaps she was getting off of her shift soon. Probably will never eat at This location again, only if I want food poisoning.

I have gone to a lot of Friendly’s and this is the worst one I have ever eaten at. After 40 minutes when our food hadn’t come and everyone around us had been served, I decided to complain. With no waitress in sight, I went to the register where I was ignored until I made a fuss and spoke up. The girl said, «they have to make your sundaes, be patient.» I went back to our table and the ice cream finally arrived but not my son’s burger. We were almost done with the ice cream when his burger arrived and it was not even remotely correct. He had filled out an «order form» as required and they still got it wrong. When I told the waitress she was rude and said«what’s the matter with it anyways? I’ll get the manager. The manager never came and the waitress said«he was too busy on the grill.» I would assume that the manager was the one who couldn’t get the order correct. The waitress never apologized. I would have assumed it was an off day for them, but reading these reviews it looks like they have too many off days. Avoid at all costs. No wonder Friendly’s is in trouble! Time for a new manager?

This friendlys could use some improvement in customer service. The food is okay but not that great. I do like thier ice cream. I think thats the best part about this restarant. The décor is nothing to get excited about. The ceiling has brown stains on it, it looks like a water leak or something. Also the people who go here are not classy. There was a couple dressed in pajama pants and grungy shirts. This other young mother was constantly yelling at her son… you need to eat this, or dont put marker on your nose etc. Its not the best dining experience but in a pinch, if you need to eat somewhere becuase your starving, it will do.

For the record, I generally hate going to Friendly’s, so getting 3 stars from me is pretty good. We stopped in on Labor Day Monday morning around 10am because it was open and convenient and found a half-full restaurant with two frantic waitresses. However, I have seen similar situations go much worse. Our waitress, Suzie, was honestly FANTASTIC. She got everyone seated, managed the incoming crowd, kept up a positive attitude, got our order exactly right, and got us out of there as fast as possible. Eventually I did see a manager, and I can only hope she wasn’t out there before because she was on the line cooking. Yes, it’s loud in there, and no the food’s not gourmet, but because of our waitress, we had a decent experience. Somebody should promote that girl.

I hate giving out one star reviews, but this Friendly’s location honestly deserves lower than that. I got there around 7pm. Waited about 4 minutes to be seated. Ten minutes later my waiter came over to take my order. Then I waited… And waited… And waited. Forty minutes aftter taking my order the hamburger was finally delivered. That’s right… 40 minutes for a hamburger. Not once during that time did the waiter even so much as walk by my table. There was no «sorry about the wait, the kitchen is a little backed up,» or any other attempt at providing halfway decent service. So after waiting 40 minutes I finally took a bite into my burger, and it was terrible, even for Friendly’s low standards. The waffle fries were great though. After finishing my dinner I waited for the server to come by so that I could pay and leave. After the 40 minute wait for my burger, you’d figure he would at least try to provide some descent service. Nope, not this waiter. Even in an empty restaurant he couldn’t be bothered to bring me a check or see if my food was okay… or ask if I wanted to get some ice cream(Ii would have said no anyway, since I didn’t have another hour to waste just to get a sundae).

For the most part, I enjoy the food. However, the service that comes along with the food, is my biggest complaint. It isn’t that you necessarily receive service without a smile, but it’s the amount of time it takes for you to be serviced, as well as the amount of time it takes for you to receive your food. Occasionally upon receiving your food, your lucky if it’s still hot or cold, depending on the food in which you are ordering. Sadly, this isn’t just a fluke thing that happens once in a while, it’s something that I witness just about every time I step foot into this particular Friendly’s facility. I am thinking that it might be time to try other locations before I give up on this restaurant chain altogether!

All the food is sloppily tossed together and soaked in grease. And in the last 6 ice cream trips only 1 of them they got the order right. Youd think two basic sundaes would be easy. Guess not. We drive past it and go to auburn now

My three year old Victoria had been bugging us all week to go to Friendlys. We finally gave in and took her coupon in hand for her free birthday meal. This is not usually a restaurant we stop at and I’m very sorry we did. The experience today was not pleasant. We walked in around 11:30, just before the lunch crowd, to a half full dining room. We received a half hearted hello as we walked in and waited about five minutes to be seated. We should have seen this as a sign and left. We were finally seated and had to wait another five minutes for our server, Julianne, to make contact with us. We placed Victoria’s meal order and an Munchie Mania for ourselves. Her Grilled Cheese sandwich came out after about twenty minutes. Took a half hour for our appetizer plate which was half empty. There were barely any onion rings on the plate and they were ice cold. Looked like left overs from someone else’s meal. We ordered a Tuna Super Melt and a Chicken Strips Basket. We both had asked for well done fries. Even a blind person could tell they were barely cooked. Upon checking out at the front counter, we encountered another wait. The young gentleman cashing us out did not have a pen. Twice someone tossed him a pen when he asked for one, once almost hitting us. When we pointed out the unprofessional conduct to someone we thought was in charge, she was nice enough to yell at us that they were shorthanded, and bounced on her merry way. Guess we know where the staff gets it. When we eventually get over the trauma of this visit and decide to visit a Friendly’s again, and yes, because of Victoria, there will be a next time, we will definitely be visiting different location.

I know, it’s Friendly’s. There’s hundreds of them all over the state, who knows how many in the rest of the country. Nothing special but my favorite place to have breakfast in town. I don’t know what that says about Friendly’s or Webster but that’s how it is.
