No 1 Chinese Restaurant

While the lady that owns this place has obviously not been coached on customer service, the food is decent and reasonable. John W seems to be a bit of a drama queen…

Id like to start by saying that the kid on the phone seemed nice, and I completely thought that the rest of the «no 1» (obviously self proclaimed) experiance would be at least average. Well, not the case. This place does not care about its customer at all and only cares about raking in the doller.
Now, as aforementioned, I called in my order. I ordered 1 seasame chicken, 1 lucky family, 1 order of eggrolls and 1 qt hot and sour soup. No total over the phone announced. I So we hop in the car and enjoy the cruise and beautiful weather down to main street webster to «no 1».
I walk in, and immediately regret ordering from here. It looks like something off of Chef Ramseys Nightmare. Now, as probably assumed, I am not one to judge anything by its cover, for some of the most beautoful things under the sun lie under a not so amazing cover. This place is NOT one of them. I get to the front and tell the seemingly innocemt old chinese lady my phone number. This «mean lady» (lack of a better term), plugs a bunch of random number into her cashier and come up with a total $ 34l!!! Fine ya kno, money is nothing for a convient and well made dinner for four. I asked politely for the reciept and this «mean lady» hands me a bascally blank sheet of paper. I ask (again politely) what the recipt says and she basocaly shoves it in my face and precedes to start helping the couple behind me, basically now after getting my mmoney… shoving me out of the door. She was the most rude and disrespectful owner I have ever supported, however never will again.
Now at this point im still hopeful but let me just say EW and OMG this place needs to rot to the ground. The soup tasted like dishsoap and we literally couldnt eat it. The «egg rolls» order was litereally one egg freakin egg roll. Ect.ect.ect. ugh. Literally got sick from eating here .DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! AND LET IT BURN TO THE GROUND FINANCIALLY OR ILL BURN IT DOWN MY SELF. UGH.

I’m having Kung Po Chicken right now from this restaurant and it’s good. The egg roll was good too. Much better than the other Chinese place in Webster that delivers. I had no trouble with the service. The food was ready in ten minutes which surprised me. I had to run an errand before going there and they called me to see if I was coming. I don’t have a problem with that. Price was good, food was good, much better than ‘mediocre’, large serving, service was fine. I don’t know what everyone has to complain about. If you keep missing stuff when you get back to the office, maybe you should check it before you leave. I didn’t count my change to make sure I got every nickel I was owed. She told me what it was, I paid, got my change and left. My friend got the sesame chicken which I tried and we both thought it was great. I would recommend the place. Been there before several times, never had a problem, will go again.

Actually this is the only Chinese place I will eat at. The lady makes everything fresh and by hand. The steak on the stick is soooo tender n good mmm. Her dumpling n soup noodles are all done homemade. We travel 20 min just to eat Chinese here.

Typical Chinese food, but pretty good all the same. Quick preparation and moderate prices.

The food is average for a takeout Chinese Food place and they do not accept credit cards.
I’ve had takeout from No. 1 many times for lunch and consistently, when I order for a large group of people (for instance to feed a slew of Xerox folk doing a lunch meeting), someone’s order is missing when I get back to work with the food.
