Looking for a quick, cheap lunch, so stopped at the DQ on Church St. Had the $ 5 chicken strips with country gravy, fries, drink and a strawberry sundae. It was lightning fast and really great tasting. Everything was perfect. Came back 3 days later and ordered the same thing. Their consistency was 100%. This is the best DQ I have ever visited. Hats off to the management and employees. Word is the new pizza place next door is under the same ownership. I will visit there shortly, anticipating another good meal.

This review isn’t really aimed toward the food, but more toward the management. First off, the management process of this whole business is so disorganized. I was a previous employee here, and trust me, it was so crazy. When I applied, they told me that they would train me over a course of a few weeks over everything. After a month, I’d been taught chicken. That was it. I asked if I could get my schedule changed so I could attend church on Sunday mornings, and I was told to just not come in again. This whole place is ridiculous. I don’t know how this is run, but I’m glad I’m out of there, and I told myself I’m not setting foot in another Dairy Queen again.

Written as a review of a fast-food dessert place. What strikes me, most favorably, about this location: of the past three times that I’ve visited, I’ve seen the manager /franchisee actively involved in operations behind the counter as well as client facing on the floor. I dropped by with my brood of 4 kids near Halloween, and he made a point to stop by with a bag of candy for the kids to draw from. I’m not a frequent visitor, and don’t know the manager personally; however, he seems intent on taking care of his customers and helping his staff to work hard. I like that. The food is DQ food. I’ve only had the desserts — can’t even tell you if they do fast-food at this location. I like the location’s easy access to I-70 … but it is hidden if you weren’t aware it was there, just north of the freeway.
