Yes, the vibe can be intimidating. But let’s be real, when it comes to pizza all business should be no frills, no bullshit, straight to the point grubbin’. Especially in Massachusetts. This is the ONLY spot in the Worcester area that understands how to do «extra cheese» on a pizza. I’d give it two thumbs up, but I’m busy eating my feelings.

Well first of all their Pizza is Great hands down not too greasy. But the menu only call for toppings. So it is up to the consumer to chose. Now their tuna grinders are very plentiful of tuna and tasty too! Now the reason for three stars instead of four or five. Fridays if you are into fish and chips. Pass the place up! The fries are mushy and the fish is ummm a little under cooked and they leave the skin on the fish. The serving of coleslaw is warm and a different taste(not for me I’m an southern boy and I like mine chilled). Granted this is the second time I picked up fish & chips on a Friday. This will be the last time I get fish and chips there. Now for as the Pizza & Tuna grinders I’m a fan! Yes I will still eat there. But I hope next time too that the person whom waits on me don’t bring out my food on a platter instead of carry out as ordered.

I love the subs! The meatball sausage combo is excellent! The pizza isn’t my favorite I really don’t like the taste. Everyone in my family loves the pizza! I love absolutely love the salads! The meat and Greek salad excellent! My mom knows one of the worker, who’s name is escaping my mind. Very kind, always asks how my mom is(she had cancer). I’ve grown up at steves. I remember when I was so little I couldn’t even see over the first little ledge! :) I love steves ‘s when ever I have an option to pick what ever I want this is usually #1. It’s hard to pick either between salad or meatball sausage combo. I love the salad dressing I could drink it!(ew) I hope this place never closes’! One quick warning though. On Fridays it’s fish is chip night! I believe you have to order before 4:30−5 or else there’s no more fish! It gets crazy busy on Fridays! Even if you don’t eat that early you want to order that early! :)!

Food is what you would expect from a pizza place, it’s good, but just that… staff is probably the rudest bunch I’ve ever come across. I thought I was on some sort of reality tv show. I actually think they try to be rude. Attitude is everything, I won’t be back.

The food is only OK after I heard so many talk about how good it was. I also find much of the staff has a really poor attitude and sometimes they don’t get along with each other. One of the first things I noticed is the guy ringing me up was handling money and then he was touching my sub with his hands. If that’s not disgusting, what is. I only eat here occasionally. The above is probably why.

Let’s see first time here. Ziti and meatballs. Sauce tasted like canned sauce and the spaghetti had a ton on water that they obviously didn’t drain but into my f* meal. Thought I’d give them another chance. figured they can’t f up a grinder. First I see the two guys sweating like pigs wiping their brow on the food. people waiting to get their attention to place an order. I waited 10 mins to place the order and another 25 to get the grinder. while I had all this time, I read other reviews about their customer service and food … Apparently I’m not alone. My suggestion is to go to Franco’s Pizza down the street. Great service and the food is what you should expect from a great pizzeria. Picture sweaty angry brows touching your food and that’s Steve’s pizza. Get a clue how to run a business boys.

A co-worker brought me here for lunch one day, its a close 10 min ride from our building. Let’s just say I’m now hooked! Its my «go-to» place now at least once a week. I have only had their chicken Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Their chicken is to die for, i know… i know… it’s «only chicken» but they marinate it and its never over cooked, the lettuce is always fresh and its a HUGE portion! And the kicker, its so cheap! Bring Cash… its Cash Only(ATM on site). I’ve seen their subs and pockets and those look over-stuffed so worth your money and definitely worth trying!

Meh. Ordered two grinders and a broccoli pizza. Arrived too early, so while waiting for my order, I had my credit card out. No one said anything until the order was ready, but they th en informed me that they didn’t take credit cards. BUT they had an ATM on site that charged ridiculous fees. By the time I got to my own bank and back, the pizza was cold. Crust was nearly burned, sauce had a ton of added sugar and salt, and the large size was more medium. Not impressed. If you want a Steve’s pizza, go to Papa Johns. Same taste but they take credit cards and don’t burn the pizzas.

Steve’s has always been a given in my family. We would always travel well out of our way to go pick up grinders, pizza or fish and chips from here. They never disappoint and serve huge portions! A small grinder is plenty for 2 people to share. Delicious and reasonably priced. You get what you pay for and more. The staff may not be over the top friendly, but they are courteous, knowledgeable and get you the food you asked for.

This place was great. My usual pizza place was closed so I gave Steve’s a try. Not only were they open at 10 on a Tuesday night but the made the biggest eggplant parm grinder I’ve ever had. Also, they threw in an extra antipasto so I’d «have lunch for tomorrow». Looks like I’ve got a new«usual» pizza place!

Been going to steves since I was a little kid. I just want to point out to other people yes they are rude yes they are sweaty and don’t use gloves yes the food is mediocre but that’s why you go there. It’s a dying breed. If the guy at the counter rude to you it’s because you stood there staring at him and whispered something about your sub. This place isn’t panera bread at the mall. It’s damn steves. So if you like old school quick huge portions for cheap this is your place. I normally stick with the classics Italian with hots or meatball sub. But the pizzas are better then anything around and never had a bad meal here in over 20 years

What can I say other than this place has the best subs and pizzas around. I love to get a pepperoni and broccoli pizza whenever I go here, and I have to say that I love to watch the vending machine when I get a soda. Overall, if there was an option for 20 stars, I would use it.

I love the salads! The chicken salad-salad is very good but the house dressing is what makes it amazing! The subs are huge can’t complain at all about the food. the prices are iffy but worth it I guess for the amount of food you get! If your looking for takeout try Steves. Best pizza place in town

Worth driving to from Holden for take out! Great service and great pizza. There are tables to sit and dine in but not very cozy… one open area with hard booths only, and lots of takeout traffic. Cash only but there is an ATM inside.

I grew up about a 3-Wood and pitching wedge away from Steve’s. I am now in my 40’s, live 20 miles away, and it is still in the rotation. This place ROCKS! Fish & Chips(only on Fridays) as big as your head, Italian Grinder to die for, and the Chicken Parm Grinder with Green Peppers is out of this world. For those visiting for the first time, ordering can be tricky. You may think you are in line to order, but really you are just standing around folks that already have! Work your way to the counter and be nice along the way. I travel all over the U.S. for business and still have not tasted a grinder as good as Steve’s!

This place is always hopping. They only take cash. The personnel always seems inattentive but they get the food as ordered without writing anything down so they must be doing something right. Menu and available selection issmall The subs are huge and worth the price(although on the high side). First time having the grilled chicken sub. Tasty. Big huge problem here is that no on wears gloves. Not only does multiple people touch your food but they also handle the cashed and the register. Food and its quality 4 stars, price 3.5 stars, service 3, yuck factor 1 star– follow laws on cleanliness and sanitation or there will be no more visits here.

This place always seems to have a busy parking lot, so I thought I’d try it. Let’s start at the beginiing shall we? It seems that most of the cars in the parking lot belong to the blind. The wood paneling everywhere, the single unit laminated bench/tables and other DIY décor items had me rather concerned. But I never walk out a phone in order, so I tried to look past all that. The darkenss made that difficult. I called for my order and handed the gentleman what has been accepted as legal tender since 1994, a credit card. Cash only. Really? Who does that? I won’t speculate. But it was very nice of them to have a $ 2 per transaction ATM handy in the dining room. Not that I would eat in that room. My steak and cheese was over done and dried out, saved only by the cheese. The other subs were cold cuts, which are difficult to mess up. The whole cash only and then zing you with the ATM was simply poor form. «Some of the best subs in the area.» I fear you need a wider area. «Turkey/Bacon sub to die for» I fear that human life is held in too short regard in your world, sir. «One of the best steak and cheese subs you can get» I could swing a cat around my head the result would be a better sandwich then this. Not that I would. That’s cruel to those standing inside the cat affected zone.
