First time to dinner here. A bit loud, 7:30 on a Friday, but seemed to diminish while we ate. Fantastic server, Andrew, super attentive and helpful with menu. Food was excellent, atmosphere was nice, cozy even. Ordered a cheese/meat platter for appetizer, thought we were going to be too full to eat our entrees. Bar area looked crowded. Will be returning. Parking was easy, 7? Floor garage 1 block down.

This place is great, the lunch buffet is awesome. I’ve only ever gotten the buffet, but it’s a casual little Italian spot and is always crowded. Outdoor seating in the warmer months is very nice.

First timer last night and was really looking forward to it. Started out at the bar and received immediate service, drinks right on point. At the table, the bread was good, house salad excellent. So far so good until the entrée. I ordered the Veal Milazzo and almost always go with a veal dish at Italian restaurants since I don’t make veal at home. The portions were very generous. Unfortunately, the veal was horrible — very tough and flavorless. I would have sent it back but we were with another couple.

right in the heart of West Chester. It was fine. Last time I went, I had an ok meal and it was a long time since I had gone there. Could barely hear our conversations since the tables were so close to each others. Food was ok, it’s just the atmosphere was so crowded and sometimes we couldn’t get a word in on our conversations until we left the restaurant.

Bland food and bad service sums up my 2nd visit to the restaurant. 1st visit was on the line so I gave another chance but I am done now. Whoever thinks this is the best italian food need to venture out to other areas like Philly and NYC to see what GOOD italian food tastes like. We ordered appetizer without bacon and we received bacon. When I told my server, she apologized but asked whether I liked it. I repeated again that I am vegetarian. Once we ordered food, it took good 45 minutes before it came and all this time, the server never came because she knew that it was getting late. After receiving food, she came every 10 minutes to check whether it was OK — bad service. Food itself was very bland. Pasta was undercooked. I have had much better pasta, pizza, and eggplan parm. Tip was added automatically for 5 people which I did not like.

So there are about 10 of us decided to go out to dinner. When we first walked into the restaurant we were greeted by very fun upbeat staff! We were sound or table in the back which was talked against the side of the wall and a very quaint little room. Immediately this our server came out to take beverages, and another person brought out bruschetta for the table! I thought that was a nice touch. As soon as our first round of drinks came we definitely ordered a ton of appetizers. All of it was delicious! We had stuff from calamari, to burratta, to a meat and cheese tray to meatballs. Yes we are pigs! We all ordered our dinners after gorging ourselves on appetizers, and the whole time I kept thinking«wow what a great time!» The food delicious the staff is fun and on top of it, not to mention there was a gigantic bread bowl in front of me which I definitely had more than my share! All in all it was a great time I deathly would recommend anybody going food is delicious alone but the staff makes it fun!

I have been to Limoncello several times and their food is awesome! I have recommended many to this place. I went here last weekend and once again the food was great! However, I was very disappointed the waiter/manager did not address the fact that we found a dead gnat in our appetizer. Grant it, ish happens. But HOW it is handled is really important and not acknowledging /addressing it made me feel unappreciated as a customer. Think I’ll have to try some other spots when I am back in my hometown of West Chester. Not that I wouldn’t go back here, but… I will vote with my dollar and try some different places. They would be surprised how far an apology by management would have gone in my book(and a free drink wouldn’t have hurt — LOL).

Six of us had dinner and it was very good. Service was fantastic. They have a large variety of interesting drinks. Apps included fried calamari and some crab-avocado creation that were delicious. My chicken and sweet sausage scallopini was initially great but the last half of the chicken was rubbery-bleh! Everyone else had great dinners. The portions are huge so most of us took food home. The prices are very reasonable.

We were there around 5PM on Saturday. Did not make a reservation. They set up u tables for our party of 5. Complimentary brushes take was good an an unexpected nice touch. My husband said the pizza was the best he’s ever had. He is a pizza expert. It was delicious. I shared a cheese plate with four cheeses and candied nuts, fresh and dried fruit, red pepper. I thought the cheese was a bit skimpy. It was less than half the plate but delicious. The tiramisu was creamy, perfect coffee flavor. Waitstaff efficient and pleasant.

We had a great dinner last night, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the server was very attentive. The food was prepared and presented very nicely. My wife had the softshell crab and I have the halibut special, excellent!

This place has gone completely downhill!!! I don’t know what happened but their food is AWFUL. I ordered the linguini and clams. The pasta was served in a watery, sandy broth which was inedible and there were about a dozen plain steamed clams on top. Worst meal I have ever had. I even asked the waiter ahead of time how the dish was and if it was a good clam sauce(a clam sauce has clams in it. with garlic, white wine, butter, and parsley. He told me it was a GREATDISH. Needless to say, I sent it back. I ordered a glass of chardonnay as well. $ 11 dollars for a cheap house wine… no thanks. We will not be back. My mom ordered mussels marinara. They smelled so bad! She tried one but had to spit it out. My friend ordered a stuffed chicken dish with prosciutto, mozzarella and mushrooms — it was vile. Sorry guys! You need a new chef! We used to love it there!

I’ve been here a handful of times but this is the first I’m getting around to rating limencello in West Chester. I’ve had chicken parm(red sauce is excellent) and pescatore(good, not the best I’ve ever had). Tonight we got: Cozze for an appetizer and were disappointed. The muscles were cooked well but we weren’t impressed with the broth(we chose the Chardonnay and garlic… you can also get marinara or fra Diablo). Service was off tonight. It is usually busy and a little hectic but we waited a long time. Lobster ravioli(forgot to take a pic but it looked like the other Unilocal reviewers photo… we got the meal due to the picture). Lobster tail was cooked well, had the vodka sauce all over it, not bad but he would’ve rather had it plain. The ravioli were delicious. Tasty lobster, ricotta, and homemade pasta. The vodka sauce was very smooth, perfect consistency, however it was slightly more buttery than we like — still worth trying it out! Crab cakes — They were all lump, little or no filler/binder. I actually would have liked a little more binding as it was slightly dry. The outside was crispy and firm — cooked perfect. The roasted pepper sauce was a little overpowering only because there were chunks of red pepper in the crab cake. Mashed potatoes were just so-so, greens on top lightened up the dish and are a great compliment to the heavier crab and potatoes. It was fresh and would recommend but only if you are wanting a strong roasted pepper flavor.

The food is not that good but what kills me are the servers standing in the alley smoking. Not just once in a while but all the time. Does the management really think this is ok. Buffet at lunch is tired food sitting out maybe you have to arrive early. Had two very bad dinners. Soggy over sauced pizza and poorly made salads. I really wanted to like it but…

Italian is my favorite food so I tend to judge harshly when I visit an Italian restaurant. At Limoncello I really had no complaints! The ambiance was so romantic with the string of lights around the outside and the potted plants. I love the outdoor seating that was available with umbrellas just in case it rains. It was so pretty from the outside people would stop and take pictures of the building before passing by. We sat outside, which is first come first serve and it looks like you can bring your dogs to dine with you as well which is pretty cool! The food: I ordered the sea food risotto(I’m not sure if that’s what it is called… it was one of the dinner specials). I am gluten intolerant so it’s hard to visit an Italian restaurant and get something that is yummy and not pasta… but they do have gluten free noodles if that’s your cup of tea. My sister ordered the Vongole and those clams were cooked perfectly and seasoned so well! I almost like it more than my dish! My dad ordered the Pescatore and his only complaint was there was too much seafood. said no one else EVER! My other sister ordered the lasagna and she loved it and her boyfriend ordered the fettuccine with GF noodles. Basically everything was delicious huge portions that even we couldn’t finish! We all took dog bags home and I’m so excited to eat the left overs! Just beware! Parking is a little difficult, there is $ 5 parking across the st but it fills up fast. Also for a party of 6 or more it’s an automatic 20% tip. The waitress we had looked like she was new and didn’t pronounce the dishes properly… only knew this because my sister took 4 years of Italian. Just think its important to know how to say what you’re serving. Also it would be nice to list that they have gluten free alternatives on the menu. Thanks for a delicious dinner and beautiful dining experience! I will have to come back when I’m back in town! :)

Really enjoyed eating here while in town. I would have loved to eat outside on the patio but considering it was a torrential down pour by the time dessert arrived, it’s better that we were seated inside. The restaurant was jam packed with people so reservations are a must. We were seated in an out of the way corner, which was great except for the pizza oven that was beside us, which had the four of us sweating throughout the meal. Food and drinks were delicious. We stuck with martinis trying a few between us with the next one being more delicious than the last. The limoncello was my favorite by far though. My fiancé and I split the limoncello salad(all the full salad looked a little too big for one person) and then he tried the chicken parm and I had the eggplant parm. Both meals were HUGE. We finished the night off with the Dream Bomba, a chocolate-coated gelato ball with peanut butter and caramel. I could barely move at the end of dinner but everything was great. I also love that they give you bruschetta to kick off the meal and close it out with a shot of limoncello!

For some reason, this restaurant came up when we were searching for BYOB. ITISNOTBYOB!!! By the time we knew this though, it was too late. I thought they might be giving something away as the place was packed. Not much room to wait either. Patrons are PACKED around the entrance, making getting into the actual restaurant a bit of a challenge. The food was ok; no one thought the salads were anything special, and the kid’s pizza(my nephew came) was about«Chuck E. Cheese» quality. My wife thought her pasta was good, and I thought my risotto with short ribs was first rate. My daughter had crab cakes… ordinary. Maybe not the best choice for an Italian restaurant. We split 3 deserts among the six of us… I’m pretty sure they were bought outside, but the were good… not great. Then we got the bill… $ 400+ for five adults and a kid? WTF? Turns out they are very proud of their wine and price it accordingly. Every entrée was over $ 30(which is a lot for mostly pasta!) As was previously mentioned, parking is painful. Either go early, or you’ll be walking some distance. WC is not auto friendly, apparently. Overall, I’ve had much better for much less money. We were told by friends we’d really like it, but in retrospect, I’d go elsewhere. Not sure why it is so busy… it was very ordinary, and not at all worth the money.

If you are looking for fine Italian dining with a full bar in the Western suburbs, this is a solid choice. I’m going to get the two negatives out of the way first so I can focus on the many positives. The lovely wife and I had 8:15 OpenTable reservations on a recent Saturday. Parking was INSANE! The closest public lot was full. Uggggh. We just barely parked in the next closest lot and had to hoof it a couple of blocks. When we opened the door to the restaurant we were greeted by a blast of noise. Once again the word I would use is INSANE. The front bar was three deep and there were boat loads of folks waiting for tables. Thank God for OpenTable as our table was waiting for us. Just to be clear, the noise level was through the roof! Note to self– Visit on a weekday night! Our waiter was Bill and he was beyond superb. How is this for an opening sentence–«I’m here to exceed your expectations!» I have visited restaurants with Michelin stars and experienced lesser service. Kudos to the management The menu here is extensive and it’s hard to believe it couldn’t satisfy almost everyone. We ordered the antipasto plate. We consider ourselves experts with Antipasto/Charcuterie plates and this one was up there with the best we have ever experienced. The accompaniments were numerous and delicious. For entrees I ordered the Braised Shortrib Ravioli($ 19) and the lovely wife ordered the Hanger Steak special. Both dishes were an easy four stars. So what was the tab? Complimentary bruschetta, an excellent antipasto plate, two entrees, four drinks and of course complimentary Limoncello shots to end our fine meal equaled $ 100. For us this was a solid value. I’d visit here again in a heartbeat but only on a weekday night!

Went to dinner tonight at limoncello! Was super pumped about it because I loveeee the one in Chester Springs. After studying abroad in Italy for four months, it’s hard to find good authentic Italian food. I have to say I was a little disappointed. The chester springs location had much better food. While the meal was still good and I would probably return it was to die for like the chester springs location. I really like the atmosphere– much more causal and had a comforting and country feel it. The service was great as well. For dinner I had the mixed greens pear blue cheese, walnut, cranberry salad it was pretty good nothing earth shattering. I dined with my mom and my brother. My mom got the same salad as I did and my brother had the Caesar. I took a bite of his Caesar and it was delicious. For dinner I had the penne à la vodka with pancetta my brother had the chicken Parmesan and my mom had the salmon. My brothers chicken Parma was massive and my mom agreed that the salmon was better at Chester Springs. I got the same thing as I got at Chester Springs and it was not nearly as good. For dessert my brother and I split a chocolate covered peanut butter ice cream ball. It was delicious . Overall I would go back just thought the other location was one of the best meals I ever had.

My husband and I had an excellent dinner. There were many cream sauces on the menu which we don’t care for but we were able to modify the sauce. The only reason I don’t give five stars is that the limoncello cake is a huge disappointment. It’s not cake, it is a little fried thing. Our waiter was prompt and friendly.

Love limoncello!!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We had reservations(which I highly recommend) and it was a great experience. The bruschetta wedge salad is to die for, the best salad I’ve ever had. My husband had the fish special which he loved and the spicy cavallo pasta. Everything was delicious! Great place, highly recommended. Plus as an added bonus, service was exceptional!
