Stopped here while visiting the area. Had a burger and my date had the fish and chips. Both meals were excellent. The inside of the restaurant was cozy and pretty quiet when we were there. Service was decent though our waitress looked to be serving both sides of the restaurant and seemed to be having a hard time keeping up. Overall a pretty average experience, no burning complaints here.

We were honestly not prepared for how disappointed we were in this place. The food is sub-par, the waitress seemed annoyed to have to explain the different beers to us since it was our first visit. We don’t understand what all the hype was really about. Haven’t been back and probably won’t be.

I was surprised by the very good salad I ordered. Very fresh, with grilled salmon on top. Being in a pub I was expecting stale lettuce and no taste but ai was wrong. To make-up for the healthy dish I also ordered sweet potatoes fries on the side… mmmhh delicious! Impressive list of beers, the Lagunitas IPA was very good. I could live without the waitresses in kilts, but if this is their way to distinguish themselves it’s ok… kind of an Irish Hooters? ;-)

Lively Thursday night. It was busy but we were sat right away. The service was quick and the waitress friendly but the food was mediocre. The menu has been paired down a bit which is good. The Cuban and pastrami were dry and just needed something extra. A dipping sauce would have been great. The sweet fries were also just ok. Again, would have been great to have a pairing sauce. Overall I’d come back again, it was good but not excellent. Service is why I come back.

What to say? Standard? Cozy? Special? If you want nice food coupled with Angel waitresses, this is it. Great score for beers on tap: amazing selection from international to local. I had house salad and Meatloaf, and I enjoyed both. The topic of the evening anyway was my gentle, beautiful, smiling and funny waitress. Thanks for giving me 5 minutes of your time, helping me out of my business trip loneliness. I’ll be back

Service was great(except for the depressed looking hostess sitting at the door). The menu was standard American fare, but I was looking for something that might come with an authentic Irish touch so I went for the shepherds pie. Uninspired lamb stew with a dollop of plain mashed potatoes didn’t cut it. On the brighter side. .. live music contributed to a very pleasant atmosphere and my wife’s fish tacos were tasty.

Traveling in the area for work. I found this place on Unilocal. It’s near the Marriott where I was staying. What a great surprise The Dingle House was. Very clean. Very friendly and fast service. The bartenders were great. I sat at the bar and had conversations with some regulars as well as some other people here on business. The food was very good. Great beer selection and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend The Dingle. I might even go back for a second appearance, which I hardly ever do.

I’ve put off this review for a while. As a current West Chester resident I love The Dingle House. It offers a little bit of authenticity to the very generic offerings in the surrounding area. Dingle offers one of the best beer selections in West Chester and some of the nicest bartenders. My friends often heard me talk about the fun times and delicious food I’ve had at this pub style restaurant. Surprisingly the fish tacos,(strange I know), are some of the best I’ve ever had! The one thing I ALWAYS got though were the pepper jack cheese sticks. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve craved this appetizer. Different than than the normal cheese sticks, these were pepper jack and encased in a wonton wrapper. I got all my friends addicted to them after the first bite. However the last time I visited they discontinued the cheese sticks permanently. Huge bummer! I hope they get put back on the menu.

The Dingle House Irish Pub is located in West Chester. My friend lives in Dayton & I live in Cincinnati so it was a great mid point for us. I found it interesting that the exterior décor does not match the interior. Outside it seems more«modern» but when you walk in you can tell you’re in a pub. All the staff were kilts and it has a rustic pub feel. All the staff were great! We started at the bar & the bartender was helpful as we decided on what draft beer we wanted. They have a nice variety of choices & she let us try some before making a decision. We sat outside for 15 minutes without anyone coming out which was interesting but once we went back in service was stellar! I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was just ok. The turkey wasn’t as warm as I expected & the bread was nothing to special. The sweet potato fries were good but tasted like the came frozen & weren’t fresh. Lastly, as a black woman I find I’m ALWAYS in places where I’m the only black person & this Friday night was no different. I felt nothing but warm, inviting and great vibes from staff but twice I got interesting & rude looks from other customers. My friend who I was with is a white male. I think other customers might have assumed we were together & didn’t like a potentially interracial couple. I can’t be certain that’s why I got funny looks but both my friend and I thought it was likely the reason. Even so, I’d still go back, for their beer selection and friendly staff!

I went for drinks about 3PM on a Friday after a long week. Five of use sat outside and were ready to relax. Our server was grouchy, inattentive and had enough make up for five people. The servers inside were putting silverware in napkins and were just as miserable as the one serving us. Woe is this place. When I got home I farted until my dingleberries became loose.

The food was awful. There is nothing Irish about this food — its your basic disappointing americanized pub food. I know most people don’t think of Irish food as great cuisine, but I’ve been to Ireland, they make some incredible food and are all about locally sourced, fresh ingredients. This is not that. At all.

I went here for drinks. They have very reasonably priced wine, and a great patio. The beer selection is pretty large. It’s a pub but has several TVs with sports games on. It would be family friendly at a reasonable hour. The service is pretty fast for a pub. They were pretty packed but no wait. The staff wears kilts… It is what it is. Also if you want free entertainment sit on the patio next to the exit. The gate is magnetic… And you will have fun all night watching people try to figure it out.

I’ve been here a few times, and as Irish Pubs go, this one’s decent but not the best. Good beer selection, although all the times I’ve visited, they’ve been out of a few I wanted to try. Food is pretty good, but they have the WORST fried pickles I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Thin slices, tempura battered and fried. Not good. All the appetizers I’ve gotten have been heavy on grease. Service is typically good, with friendly girls in little kilts running the floor. Happy Hour can be crammed, but the patio gives you a bit of breathing room if you prefer a quieter space. It’s fine for about an hour-long stay, but not at the top of my after-work lists.

Dingle house is awesome. They have a great beer and whiskey selection. Happy hour is decent. The fish and chips are delicious, the reuben is one of the best around, and their sweet potato fries are fantastic. The inside is large but feels cozy, and the patio is awesome in the summer time. All inall, one of my favorite Irish pubs.

As stop #2 on our CincyCon tour, Jules and I decided to try Dingle House for dinner on the Friday night before our convention games started. As we could expect with any pub on a Friday night, Dingle House was packed wall to wall. As we entered, there was a group of 50+ staked out in an entire wing of the bar; Jules and I were astounded, though, to be seated at a wonderful outdoor patio table with no wait whatsoever. Woot! Looking at several of the other reviews here on Unilocal,it seems as though several people have had problems with the service at Dingle House. While our service was somewhat slow, it was well within expectations on a busy Friday night during dinner-rush. Even as it was, we were still served fairly quickly and no mistakes were made with our order. Jules opted for a fish sandwich and one of the bar’s numerous on-tap specialties, while I chose the Irish lamb stew. We also began with an order of buffalo-wings, as we were both ravenous from a long workweek. The buffalo-wings – which we got with a garlic-buffalo sauce – were properly cooked: tender, but still crisp on the outside without excess breading or the like. I could have done with a touch more heat in the sauce, but the garlic flavor did not suffer for the lack of heat. My stew, though, was the absolute highlight. Served with a few pieces of crusty garlic bread, the stew was hearty, with a broth that gloriously accentuated the sweetness of the carrots and peas within the stew. The stew was a bowl of umami goodness that was *exactly* what I wanted that night. Utterly fantastic. I’d definitely look forward to another visit to Dingle House, though I’d like to see what it’s like when it’s a little quieter. Even as is, though, it’s worth a go!

The Dingle House is a neat little place amongst all the chain restaurants lining Union Boulevard. It’s one of our go-to restaurants when we have visitors – something we know people will like but somewhat unique to the area. As a restaurant, the Dingle House is pretty great. Service is friendly and fairly fast even on busy nights, and the food is tasty. If you order nothing else, get the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer! It’s our favorite thing on the menu and we get it every. single. time. Entrée-wise, my favorite dish is the pastrami sandwich which comes on a pretzel bun with coleslaw and spicy mustard. The fries are good, but I usually swap them for a house salad – spring mix, golden raisins, walnuts, bleu cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. Maybe it’s weird to rave about a salad, but it’s delicious and huge as side salads go. The«Irish fare» seems to be pretty good too. The shepherd’s pie is tasty but you may find it a bit small as others have mentioned; the bangers & mash are better! Oh, and if you have any room left for dessert, the Bailey’s crème brûlée is worth a try. Despite my love for the food, I cannot give the Dingle House a fifth star for one reason: the beer is terrible. Yes, they’ve got a huge selection and lots to choose from. However, every single time I’ve ordered a beer on tap(Guinness, Yeungling, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, it doesn’t matter) it has been watery and flat. I’ve never tasted beer so bad anywhere else. After several bad experiences I’ve made it a point to only order from the bottled menu… but even that isn’t safe because I once got a bottle that was partially frozen. It’s really disappointing that we’ve got a pub in West Chester with such a great variety of beer that somehow gets ruined before it gets to your table. Management, if you’re reading this, please look into the beer situation. I’d definitely be a more frequent customer if I could get a rich frothy Guinness with my delicious food.

Five stars for the beer list, 3 for food. The Dingle House is a great place to grab a beer with friends. They have an extensive list of beers on tap and the bartenders are knowledgeable and attentive. There is a lot of bar space and there are also a lot of tables in the restaurant. The food offerings are decent but nothing special. This location is definitely worth a stop if you are in the mood for a beer.

We find that as we travel it’s sometimes hard to find a place to have a pint or two and a good meal. If you’re anywhere near and even if your not, The Dingle House is just where you’ll want to be! The staff are friendly and check on you often enough without being pushy. The food is served up hot and quick yet is flavorful and fresh.

Great food and friendly staff! I got the Reuben and fried pickles which were fantastic! They have seasonal lobster rolls but I wouldn’t waste your Money on that. It was decent and different from the usual lobster roll due to the lack of mayo and the addition of lime but the lobster was not very fresh. Have yet to try the beer but will soon!

The Dingle House is a great spot for a number of occasions. I happen to work in West Chester, so I typically find myself here for lunch or happy hour. The food is decent, but noting to write home about. I am a fan of their pretzel bites, although I need to have a conversation with the manager about the fact that they started putting mustard on top of their beer cheese. I had quite the surprise when I was expecting cheese and got mustard.(I’m not a fan of mustard) The beer selection on the other hand is what brings me back time after time. They rotate their taps frequently and the staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to the beer selection. They offer a couple of «frequent flyer» cards including a lunch punch reward. The other program is based on the total dollar amount of your tab and can be redeemed for ANYTHING, including your bar tab. Ask your waiter about them, as they are not something mentioned with every meal. PS. Get the wedges.
