Turner Junction Family Restaurant may not be gourmet but it’s pretty good and it won’t break the bank. I like this place. It may not be the best looking restaurant in town or the best restaurant for that matter, but they have good food at good prices and the service is quick and friendly. I know that they serve burgers, fries, and other classic American food, but I’ve only had their Mexican food and I like what I’ve tried so far. I highly recommend the burritos, tortas de asada, tostadas, and sopes. Last time I was here, my friends and I had burritos and I think we pretty much used up all the salsa they had at our table! Oh yeah, it’s good stuff – they make it themselves and have it in those clear squeezable condiment bottles on each table. We couldn’t decide which salsa was the best compliment to our burritos de carne asada – red or green, so we ended up using both! YUMMY! Like I said before, Turner Junction Family Restaurant a small place with good food for a small price, which earns it the official Mr Beautiful stamp of approval. I’m a fan & I’m sure I’ll be back soon. Holla!!!™

I used to come here all the time, everything is extremely cheap… Got food poisoning once from here but I couldn’t stay away from the place. Then I went back and got sick again…

Turner Junction has been in West Chicago off main street for many years. It is a diner/restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Three sisters that used to waitress at a restaurant across the street bought and now run Turner Junction. The restaurant serves classic American food but the staple of the restaurant is now Mexican food. Most people in West Chicago would classify it as a Mexican taqueria. The food is good and very cheap! I had steak tostadas and they were a little smaller compared to other taquerias I have been to, but still good. As I am thinking, the tortilla chips and salsa they give you are very good. They are a little greasy but you can tell they are home made. Today myself and 6 other family members ate lunch for $ 35! I left full and satisfied my taste for Mexican food. The restaurant itself is old and dated. If you are looking for ambiance, this is not the place to go. Some of the booth cushions are ripped and taped, and the walls are older and poorly decorated. It is also a smaller restaurant, so if you are with a very large party you may not all fit or will have to split up. If you are a person who is looking for quick and cheap Mexican food, stop by Turner Junction. Remember they do serve American food too!
