We contacted to have my cousin laid to rest & transported by the staff. The gentleman who moved the body to the church and back to the funeral home acted with the most respect during the entire service. I’m happy that it went so smooth during a most unfortunate time. Thank you again!

This is the 2nd Pierce Brothers facility we inquired with about cremating our deceased loved one. The first is with their Chino location. Both DESERVENO stars! I will repeat, that this corporation of mortuaries has THEEMOSTUNPROFESSIONAL, THEEMOSTINSENSITIVESTAFF my family dealt with during our research. Since we had a negative experience with the Chino location, we gave this corporation the benefit of the doubt and gave their West Covina location a chance. My Aunt was able to speak with«Mario.» He quoted her pricing for a cremation package that would suit our needs. However, he stated the dates and times we requested were not available and that he would further look into the availability of their Chino facility and would call me Aunt back on that same day. Not only did«Mario» NOT return my Aunt’s calls on the same day, they had another so called funeral director named«Jesse» return her call the following day. He agreed to have our family come in for a consultation and tells us that the dates we are requesting are not available at either facilities. First available date would be two week after. He also stated that families book a week or two prior to «get dibs» on booking their chapels. Who uses the term«get dibs» to a grandmother(who’s husband just passed) and her grieving family!!! Through my extensive research in finding a decent mortuary, my suggestion is to AVOIDALLCORPORATEMORTUARIESSUCHASPIERCEBROTHERSATALLCOSTS, and locate smaller independently owned mortuaries. Funeral directors at corporate mortuaries work on commission — the grieving vulnerable are such easy prey — worse than a used car dealership! If they feel that they cannot make any $$ off you by selling fancy caskets, urns or flowers they will take another bid over yours and brush you and your grieving family off. Completely disgusting.

If you’re reading this review, it’s either because A) you’ve lost someone dear to you(if so, I’m really sorry for your loss) or B) you’re a creepster reading mortuary reviews(then again, I’m a weirdo leaving a review…). In any case, the day has come when even mortuaries can be Unilocaled, so Unilocal!I shall! When my grandmother passed away 2 months ago, my family had her wake held at this mortuary. Though I wasn’t involved with signing any paperwork and whatnot, I can say that the staff is incredibly respectful, friendly and sensitive to the needs of the deceased’s family. They were very accommodating and understanding, and we never felt rushed when we had to say our last goodbyes(even when we stayed just a little past their closing time!). Losing someone you love is a difficult thing, and I’m glad my family chose this mortuary because they made things a little bit easier for us all. There’s an option to have a photo slideshow, which was very easy to coordinate — All we had to do was give a USB flash drive of our photos for them to plug in). They also allowed us to use our own music(they have an audio input line to easily connect to an iPod). They provided us with a guest book, printed cards and a memorial website, and it was little things like these that really made a big difference in the quality of our celebration of our Lola’s life.
