Delicious Empanadas (4 stars)
This must be my third visit to pick up empanadas.
Each time they only had chicken.
They are tasty, moist, and a little sweet.
They offer other dishes, but only at certain times of the day.
They always have chicken empanadas, and that’s what really matters.
Good thing it’s located less than 10 minutes from Mom’s place, so I can always swing by to pick up some treats.

I went to Josephine’s Special Empanada in West Covina and loved their bibingka and empanada. I was excited to see that they were opening a new one, but this place was not as good as the Amar Rd location.
Is this the same Josephine’s Special Empanada?
Ube bibingka: maybe their bibingka is not as good as their regular bibingka… maybe I don’t like ube… but this bibingka is meh.
Chicken empanada: I hate raisin inside empanada, but I remember liking its Amar Rd empanada. This empanada had too much filling, the dough is too thin, and it’s not tasty.
3 stars! I will give it another chance and try its regular empanada.

Recently opened sister location of the one off Amar rd inside Island Pacific. I didn’t know they opened a new location since I came here for Bethania Depot that’s next to Josephine.
Prices:
Chicken $ 1.80 ($ 20 dozen)
Beef f$ 2.00 ($ 23 dozen)
Chicken fajita $ 1.75 ($ 20 dozen)
Philly cheesesteak $ 2.00 ($ 23 dozen)
I usually get the chicken since it’s my favorite. The inside of raisins, a boiled egg, potatoes, and moist shredded chicken is filling. The crust is flaky and not too dry.
They’re still fixing out the kinks here since their hours are a bit weird here. They take card here.
I came here once and it was closed but then again I went late so I decided to try to go earlier, and guess what? It worked and they were opened.
I ordered 2 chicken empanadas and oh boy… No regrets!
They are to die for and are huge!
They are stuffed with raisins, carrots, boiled eggs, shredded chicken potatoes, and peas.
The breading/​crust is sweet and crispy and doesn’t taste like stale bread. The breading actually gives it a sweet flavor which is good in my book.
I definitely recommend this place. It is inside a food court and it is very clean.
5 stars for sure! Can’t wait to go back and buy some more!
