I used to shop here a lot but last time(the very last time I was in this Shoprite) I had a run in with someone named Karin. She gave me a very hard time and when she found out I was not Christian, she called her manager & security to have me thrown out. The manager did not throw me out but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Not everyone is Christian and this should not be the basis for how you treat your customers. From the little I have seen of the managers in this Shoprite, I do believe her views echo managements views. I’m sure this is a great little store to frequent if you happen to be Christian but Karen made it quite clear what how she feels about other races & religions

This is our store, the bakery is good. Zallies home cooking is great, although a little expensive. it is so much cheaper than a restaurant. Always more than I expected. Try the chicken pot pie, very good. $ 8 and it feeds 2 people easily. I have always found the store to be clean, I see someone posted that it was not. I’ve been going there for decades and never saw it dirty. I’d say something bc I don’t want to have to worry about bringing something home. Day shift very nice people. Night shift can be strange. My husband has complained about the night manager constantly. I haven’t had the pleasure. We wait for sales on meats, and only buy angus beef. My husband is excellent at picking out the best cuts but the butchers will help you and for the best hamburger, ask and they will grind it fresh… no extra charge. very nice people in the meat and seafood departments… I definitely recommend Zallies and for catered events… the best for the best price.

I’m not a fan of Zallie’s shop rites, and this store is a perfect example of why. The store is in need if a good updating and scrubbing. The cheese I bought was moldy but the date read august, they obviously aren’t storing it right. There was a ton of meat that expired ON the day I was shopping that looked disgusting and the marrow bones(odd item, I know) were in a «refrigerated» case along with several mystery items that were all falling out of their packs, dry rotted, and stamped with a July date. They have limited selection of nice brands and a ton of crap. I hope a Ravitz or a Wegmans opens up close by it I’ll be going back to cherry hill for my groceries.

The staff is always friendly, although some of the cashiers sometimes seem to be way to chatty about my purchases. I feel it’s a little pricey, but they have a good deli and good selection. My biggesr reason for often skipping this place is it’s ALWAYS crowded, I don’t care what time of day you go and forget Sunday. The place is the 7th Circle of Hell on Sundays.

Did the Can-Can sale again. They had everything we wanted from the sale ad. Checkout was fast and friendly. This place has improved so much, with the exception of the parking lot, I don’t dread coming here like I used to.

For the most part I love shopping at this store. But I’ve had trouble at both the meat and seafood counter when asking for items to be cut or sliced. I realize that it is difficult to get exactly the requested size, but the cutter should be able to get at least close! I asked for three equal parts cut from one large piece of salmon to serve for dinner. And what I got were two 3 inch pieces and one 1 inch piece. I was having company for dinner and I was mad as hell when I opened the package the next day when preparing the meal. I did not have time to take it back. Mr. Zallie please address this issue.

I like Shoprite in general, doesn’t matter what location, but the ones I’ve been to are not bad. My favorite time to go is near closing, late night so I like it when they open till 11 or even midnight in some location. For this particular location, I don’t go as much to really give you a detail review. But from my experience, it was good.

Define or better yet look up the the word«Ginormous» for me please? Mind you when you look up this definition a picture of this super market will be there. This is probably the biggest store I have been to while living in New Jersey. I am used to the Super Freshs’, Giants’, along with Genuardis’ type sizes, so seeing this I am well accustomed to. This place has it all except for alcohol, which is located next door in Joe Canals. The bakery section is top notch with a wide variety of breads, cakes, and so forth. The ready to go meals they make is spot on. The floral department alone is tops with the helpful service they provide for anyone who is in a bind.(I was one of them) They would could match up to any florists in the surrounding area and still you would make out better. This is at least 5x bigger than the one located next to my house. There is an Acme down the ways, but I don’t see any competition from them. From the service you would receive, to the cleanliness, this place is awesome. Yes I just used the word«Awesome» in describing a supermarket. They also make sure the lines keep on moving with the ample amounts of registers always ready to go . I ask you who doesn’t like efficiency? Who doesn’t like timing? These guys have it down, they know when the rush will occur even before it occurs. These guys, or great crew I should say make you want to come back. I have had no issues with them, plus the wife cracks a smile when I say lets go to this one. She is happy, I am happy, plus gives me another reason to grab some great micro’s or fill the growler from next door. Huge parking lot, easy acces points from any direction coming in or out, you can’t go wrong.

Ok, I admit to being one of those people who love this store. But the Acme down the street(actually in both directions) is a pretty lousy competitor. SR’s bakery is great. for a supermarket, the pharmacy gives you free antibiotics and the rest of the store is well-stocked. Plus it’s so busy that you can be fairly confident that everything is fresh. TIP: use deli computer to order & pick up at end(if you can remember). Bonus points for the sizeable percentage of staff who are of «a certain age» EXTRA bonus points for being located right next to Joe Canal’s. 1 star off for crowded lot, but at least it means other people seem to find it a good grocery store as well.
