Walmart Supercenter

This Walmart is definitely better than most walmarts. Which isn’t saying much. But for sure my favorite.
One of the things I love about this store is the popcorn chicken that they make in the deli. It is to die for. They also have their clothes and food organized very well.
I also love how they have clothes, bedding, and home décor whereas hyvee does not. They also have a maintenance part of the store which is amazing.
What I don’t like is how dirty the store is. They should mop more a and pick more items up. I also think their staff should be better trained and that they should have more staff. When I went on Saturday it took 15 minutes to get to the cashier. It wasn’t really in this place so much but most of Walmart employees are very rude and biased. This place does a good job not doing that.
Probably the best place to go to satisfy all of your needs.

I had a very good experience in the automotive service center. I made an appointment 12pm the prior day. My car went in the garage at 12 and took about half hour for them to change out the battery. Free installation if you purchase the battery from them! The quote they gave me over the phone was actually the same after installation :). Customer service was friendly and Josh (I think that’s his name) was the mechanic that installed my battery came out and talked to me. I recommend Walmart

Ugh– bad. We got there at 12:02am. My sister rushed to get there by 12 to use a coupon but they wouldn’t let her.
When we got to the door, we found that we were locked in. We had to go way to the other end of the store to get out. The cashier didn’t bother telling us that only one door was open after closing. Super annoying.
We thought it was 24-​hours.

This is a nice big walmart. Sometimes I feel like it’s too big. This is the kinda walmart you have to strategize your shopping because once you leave an area, it could be pretty far to back track. I haven’t had much employee interaction here since I haven’t really needed anything. The store is generally in good shape, for a walmart.

This is by far the worst Walmart I have ever been in… it’s dirty, dark, dreary, and just overall a terrible shopping experience. The parking lot is terribly lit and the store is dingy and not organized well, especially the home décor area.
As a store in a nice city and a nice neighborhood, this store should be SIGNIFICANTLY better than it is. I’ve seen nicer, cleaner/​less dingy Walmarts in low income neighborhoods in Chicago and Milwaukee! I have no idea how the other reviewers actually think this is a decent Walmart. It’s awful. All of the merchandise in this store just looks sad. When I walk into the Target down the street it is bright and welcoming… when I walk into this Walmart, I feel like I am walking into an unorganized mess. The prices aren’t even THAT much cheaper than Target’s! I have no idea how someone could honestly prefer this Walmart over the Super Target a block away.

This Walmart looks very nice and modern from the outside! The inside is actually very spacious and not cramped like most other Walmarts.
There’s not too much I can say about Walmart, it is WalMart, one of the best innovations in American history. They have nearly everything you need to buy, including groceries. They are open all night in case you need something late. Parking is easy. Price is good. Don’t expect something amazing, it is still just a WalMart.

Auto center is terrible. The lady ahead of me couldn’t get her car finished because they didn’t have the correct tool to take off the lug nut for her tires but the manager came and walked into the tool section and got it and said why didn’t you just go there and get it. Why did it have to escalate to the manager? I don’t know. This other old lady was worried her tire pressure indicators being on. The guy said sorry we don’t do that and walked away. The manager was there to take care of her though. My turn up. I asked if they could mount my winter tires. No I’m sorry we don’t have enough time. Well can I make an appointment… No no (walks away). OK. I guess I’ll go somewhere else. Besides the manager, it seems like non of them care about doing their job. Other than that my experience at this Walmart has been fine in other sections but the auto center.

I came here for a manicure! Yes… a manicure. And it was glorious. It was also only $ 12. You betcha I’ll be back!!!

Great Walmart! I’ve been to the one on Buffalo road and I have to say this one is way better in terms of selection and layout. I felt like there was a large variety of fruits/​vegetables to choose from. The layout of the other walmart is random and makes it difficult to shop at, whereas this walmart was laid out perfectly starting from groceries to canned goods/​spices/​dry and packaged foods, etc. To items that required freezing and refrigerating in the back. I will definitely find myself coming here more often than the other walmart.

As far as Walmart goes this store is quite nice. It is very clean and the service is good as well. Compared to others it is by far a superior wallmart. It also seems much less crowded. There is also an automotive section that is larger than others. Prices are normal Walmart prices. There is a subway inside as well a game center for kids to hang around at.

Of all the Wal-​Marts in all the towns I’ve been to, the one in West Does Moines is perhaps the cleanest. And the staff is friendlier than one would expect. It was an actual pleasure to shop in this store.

Nice Super Walmart! cleaner than most of the Walmart’s that I had visited… super huge parking lot

This is pretty nice Super Walmart and great location off I-​35 and across Jordan Creek Mall. Nice layout and you are better off parking near Garden area rather than the busy Grocery entrance. Selection of grocery and common items is pretty good. I have found fruits and vegetables to be priced competitively so usually get it here rather than HY-​VEE. Other items like milk and yogurt are also priced right. Avoid coupons and week specials at HY-​VEE and shop here.
