This place is great for a quick sit down, the gyros are amazing and they have a large variety of salads, panini, and wraps. The décor is beautiful and the workers are helpful.

Authentic food with the meats shaved off the rotisserie upon order. Unique interior décor — very dark. Small stage set up for musicians to perform. Also has a nice patio. I had a chicken dish and my husband had a gyro dish. My in-laws had Greek salads and the kids split a foot long hot dog. Based on all the selections, if I returned I would have ordered the Greek salad with chicken. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Very casual atmosphere.

My boyfriend is a frequent gyro eater and lived in the Middle East for a long time. I am a gyro novice. We both agree with the amazing lamb gyros we had at Sam’s. We’ll be back for sure. We didn’t try anything else, but I can’t wait to. Service was A+ too. I’m a fan:)

Sam’s is a hidden gem. We randomly stumbled in one day when SweetFrog was overrun with children. Mainly stopped for a drink but ended up getting panini’s and fries. Delicious! Went again tonight and had the falafel gyro and it was delicious! There was so much food in that gyro it was unreal. If you’re looking for a sit down meal where a waitress comes, this isn’t for you. You order at the counter and pick your drink from the cooler, but then the food is brought to you. The flatware is plastic, but it doesn’t take away from how amazing the food is. Sam and his family are super friendly and make everything right in front of you at the counter. Truly top-notch!

This is one of my top go-to spots in the center. Why? Because it’s fairly inexpensive and their food is damn good! Gyros, wraps, and their fried shrimp, you’ll love! They also offer vegetarian dishes and allow you to customize your order. The cons — it’s really small. Intimate? I guess. But, if you’re eating with another person and it’s packed, you’ll have to wiggle your way though and I’m pretty sure the next table can hear your entire conversation. Most of the staff is nice, but the main young woman at the counter usually has a not-so-great attitude and they don’t go by «the customer is right» mentality when they mess up your order. Either way, great spot, good food, fair price. Give it a try if you’re looking for casual sit-down bite.

After being emailed by Unilocal,I’m editing my review. So in other words, Service by the women was unfriendly and she was not practicing clean handling of the food. My review is based on a single visit I had there. You may have a different experience. #Update#, Today A co worker of mine asked me to get them a gyro on my way out to lunch. So I stopped in, again, and I have to say I noticed an improvement. The same women that was rude the first time was very pleasant. And everybody working was practicing safe handling of the food.

Sam’s Gyros is a surprise oasis to the expensive restaurants and boutiques around it. The gyros were so huge it was hard to pick them up. It was a very big portion. The Chicken Blintz was tender and moist. Downsides are the limited seating and odd décor, but you’ll only notice if you can take your eyes your food.

Best lamb gyro I’ve ever had. Pita exceptionally velvety soft, lamb tender and succulent, crisp lettuce and cucumbers(love how they are sliced paper thin), ripe sliced tomatoes and creamy tzatziki. Falafel delicious, soft and moist on the inside crispy brown on the outside. Do NOT leave this place without getting baklava. Was too full after lunch so got it to go. It was flaky, sweet, rich with honey. Two problems I experienced here: soda not cold, however I provided with a glass of ice. Hot sauce bottle on the table was not clean.

Got the chicken gyro and gosh it was good. The pita was fluffy and super soft, which was great but may been one of the reasons why my sandwich fell apart. Got the Cubano panini and that was surprisingly good as well. Pass on the fries, they’re under cooked and limb :(if you live near the Center they also do breakfast, but I have no idea how good that is. I will be back!

We accidentally ended up in this hole in the wall of a joint… Coz we got tired of waiting for a table @bar tacos. Music playing, people dancing… It was just calling out to us… So beautiful… we just couldn’t resist. Vegetarians you will love this place… We had gyros, salad, fries, sides of rice, beer, pita bread, tzatziki … Generous portions… and prices so low… we gobbled up everything. If ur not in a mood for gyros they have sandwiches and tenders, lots of sides… Check the aka-carte menu too. They have catering… it would make ur event spectacular… Gotta try sometime.

This was my first time going to Sam’s Gyro and I have all great things to say. The people working there was so nice and accommodating. I had the Gyro Burger combo and it was really good. The restaurant was clean and the theme was very nice a spot where you can hangout after work. I would definitely go there again!!!

Finally found a great gyro in the area! Happened to see this place while heading up Farmington Ave. and had to stop in. Gyros are one of my favorite foods and there’s a serious lack of good ones around here. Thought this would be more of a fast-food type joint but the inside is actually really nice with limited seating, cool décor and even an area for live music. I got my beef/lamb gyro to go and, while it was a bit pricey at $ 10, it did not disappoint. Meat was ample and succulent, flat bread was great and sauce was flavorful. Only(really) minor criticism is that there was entirely too much shredded lettuce on it — but that was easy to remove. Will definitely be back for more gyros and to try other items they have on offer.

The interior is a little gaudy, but seems clean. There is indoor and outdoor table service, and doesn’t appear to be seating for pick-up customers. The staff appears native to their region and friendly. The falafel gyro was delicious, had plentiful toppings, and was a good size but wish it included a side. I would return here to try other gyros.

Portions are big and the food is fresh. We tried buffalo chicken wrap and it was amazing. Flafel could be better but for 2.99 for 6, i can eat more :) Interior ambiance is beautiful. Great place to grab a quick, quality inexpensive bite.

I had passed by Sam’s gyro thinking I will stop by sometime. Well today was the day. They have a patio. The ambience is dim lit, soft music and casual. Food is what k care about most and I should say it did win me. I tried buffalo chicken wrap and should say what most places miss was a hit by Sam’s gyro. It was juicy, fresh, and appealing to taste buds. So was falafel on the side. Will try wings sometime.

«Sam’s Gyro» doesn’t necessarily lead you to thinking«breakfast», but it should. Especially if you are in the mood for a wrap or sandwich! They are each phenomenal. This is my third or fourth time here and the breakfast wraps/sandwiches that I have ordered have been exceptional. I typically get scrambled eggs, cheddar, all the vegetables, and bacon on a wheat wrap. All of the ingredients fresh and high quality. The wrap is not runny, as they often may be with vegetables. I have also had the breakfast potatoes. They are grilled with very thin strands of onion and spices. They taste awesome. I also cannot forget the coffee. If you like it strong, this coffee is the strongest I have tasted in the area. Very flavorful! The atmosphere you have to see for yourself. It’s very Eastern European/Mediterranean, as you may expect for a gyro shop. The owner, Sam, is very friendly and accommodating. Each time that I have been here, he has been the one preparing the food and serving. Be patient, the food is with it. My only complaint is that the seats are not extremely comfortable if you are in the taller side. *This review was cut and pasted from my review of the previous Gyro shop that was here. I accidentally wrote under the wrong place.

Looking to satisfy my gyro fix and this place came up during my Unilocal!search. I ordered the lamb gyro and fries. The gyro was topped with plenty of fresh veggies which was nice. The pita bread was warm and soft. The gyro meat appeared to be the standard mass produced gyro meat that you will find in most similar joints. It tasted more of salt then any other spice. The tzatziki sauce was a bit runnier then I’m used to and a little light in the flavor arena. The fries were nice and hot shoestring cut but needed another minute or so in the fryer. Overall solid place but unlikely to motivate me to make the trip to WeHa just for this.

Came in on a Saturday night at 10:30, the live music was rocking and calling out to me after satiating my Ben and Jerry’s fix down the road. The lamb/beef gyro is delicious. A seasonably spiced meat joins with tzatziki sauce to make a flavorful combo that can’t be beat. Food was quick and service good. Music was jazz and blues. Also a good volume, not too loud. Outdoor seating was available. I’ll be returning for sure.

I stopped in here for the first time today and was so happy I did. My husband and I got one chicken and one beef(they don’t have lamb) gyro to go. They cook the chicken to order so that and the beef are nice and hot. They then overstuff the gyro pita with meat, sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion. They were huge! The young man working was so sweet and friendly. Apparently, his dad owned it when it was Gyro House, but they sold the business and now«Sam» is the new owner. The young man still works there though and is doing a great job! We got our gyros to go but there is some limited casual seating for people to eat on site and a TV. I would recommend giving the place a try!
