This is the spot for Raw Food in Southern CT. What is fresh about the spot is that it is set up for the novice to be introduced to raw foods. The juice and smoothies are top notch. There is a wide selection of raw deserts also from cheesecake to a whole bunch of raw ice cream made with a coconut milk and cashew nut base. The spot has a real communal feel. The proprietor is more then willing and capable of explaining aspects of the raw food life style to people. The spot also works as a shopping spot for raw foods and items for people to take home. Anyone who is a vegetarian, vegan or just raw curious needs to check out this spot.

We went to this place mostly because we were curious about raw food. I was pleasantly surprised on how tasty and pricey things were. I really really liked their cheesecake. The owner was there and was very nice. He explained to us what raw food was and the rationale behind it(it’s all about the not killing the enzymes). We’ve seen him also at the farmer’s market, so you don’t have to go all the way to West Haven to try raw food!

This is a primarily raw food café where you can try yummy raw treats, enjoy the company of some cool raw foodists, learn how eating raw works, or come for a cool event such as Live music, documentaries, potlucks, attend a seminar or learn how to make raw chocolate! A must visit for anyone who wants to learn more about eating healthier!
