This used to be our favorite Thai food restaurant until yesterday. We had a party of six for a work lunch around noon — the place was NOT busy at all. There was a 20 minute gap between when the first lunch dish arrived to the last. One person in our party just wanted a side of salmon(a la cart) and was charged the full dinner price of $ 17! When we questioned this the manager just said salmon is expensive! Really? We’ve ordered a side of salmon in top fish houses and never paid more than $ 10.

Family owned business with fabulous food! I have been coming here for years. The Best Thai restaurant in the valley! Jane is usually greeting and taking orders while her husband and aunt cook the amazing dishes! Gina serves often too. They all provide a nice dinning experience. To start these are a few of my favorites: Chicken pot stickers with green Curry sauce Lemongrass chicken wings Salad with beef or shrimp, the dressing is delicious! Shrimp sticks Entrée favorites: Chicken yellow curry Drunken noodles with shrimp this can be spicy especially if you ask for hot. Chicken or shrimp Pad Thai both are very good. Spicy green beans The shaking beef is great served on a sizzling skillet. The sauce to dip the beef is amazing! My friends love the salmon Dessert: Fresh Mango with sticky rice is my favorite! Banana egg rolls with coconut ice cream are good too! Thai custard with sticky rice Great friendly attentive service. I have never tried anything here that wasn’t fabulous! Bring your own wine to have with dinner. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking available

This is a very nice and cozy little place. This is my goto place when I crave for thai curry. Everything we tried here was simply delicious. Their customer service is fantastic and I love the ambience. A must visit place.

It’s very good. Love the dishes we ordered. The only part you have to keep in mind is that they are pricey for the amount of food they give you. Keep that In kind. But the dishes are very good.

I ordered twice from here. The first time, panang was exceptional. Almost as good as in Thailand. However, the second time around panang was different. It was too watery and not with an explosive flavor. I will order this dish again with hopes it will be as good as the first time. Green curry was very good. Curry does not come with rice. You have to pay extra for it. Strange. Never been to Chinese or Thai place where you have to pay for the steamed rice. Pad Thai was very bad. Not a dish I would order again. Fresh rolls were delicious and made to order. Tom Kah soup was just okay. Pink elephant makes a better one. They don’t give you utensils when ordering to go so make sure to ask if you need them.

I got takeout from here tonight: beef and broccoli, pad thai, dumplings, and tofu and vegetables. I can’t believe this place has four stars and that it came so highly recommended to me by an acquaintance. If you’ve ever had good Thai food, you will not think this place is any good. There’s no flavor, the sauces are very much like water, the beef was like what she’s do meet, and they didn’t provide any good hot sauce to jazz it up. We will not be back.

This is a hidden gem in the valley that everyone should definitely visit. The food is authentic from the homemade coconut ice cream with sticky rice, to their marinated beef with fish sauce which they call shaken beef. They have a variety of great dishes that choose from in which you can wash down with a great refreshing Thai tea. The service is great as the servers will make sure your needs are met. Parking is a non issue as you will find parking in their lot.

Simply the best Thai food in the Valley and one of the best in LA. I’ve been coming here for years now. Pete and Jane are great hosts and their food is always good. My favorites are the Crab Fried Rice, with real crab not the baloney of the sea crab you get at most places, and Pad Thai. Of course the Mango Sweet Rice is a wonderful desert when they have it.

This is the restaurant that finally made me get a Unilocal account so I can do reviews. I went in here after a stressful day because it was right next to my pharmacy. The place is a bit of a hole in wall from the outside, but it is nice and clean inside with decent décor that isn’t too cluttered. Service was prompt and very friendly and my meal came out piping hot in less than 10 minutes for me walking in the door.(It helps that I already knew what I was going to order, I always get the pad see you and Thai iced tea when trying a new Thai place.) The food was very good, the Thai iced tea was a little too sweet for my preference but still tasty. At least now I know I don’t have to go all the way across to the East Valley to find yummy little Thai place for lunch.

I really love the food here. A few dollars more than your typical place, but I feel like it’s worth it. I got the coconut chicken soup– the broth was so delicious: lemongrass and coconutty and spicy– I asked for extra spice because I love the heat on my mouth. For my entrée I got the jade shrimp curry. It had eggplant in it too, and I loved it. They were closed during lunch a few times, so definitely call ahead before going on. Recommended

Not very impressed we were there at 2:50pm and asked if the lunch special is still available and the ice cold waitress said no. The menu said lunch special until 3pm. Also Our two very young boys made a little bit of a mess. We were going to tip the waitress really well until she came to our table to tell us she wanted to sweep around us so we wouldn’t step on the food, really??? She couldn’t wait until we left. I’ve worked in the restaurant business all my life and would never sweep while people were eating. To top it off, the bill was over $ 50 for two adults and two kids that hardly ate anything. Would not recommend!!!

I am a fan! This really is a hidden gem in a strip mall that no one would ever find if it wasn’t for Unilocal.Seriously. That’s exactly how my brother and I decided to try Ginger Thai. We ordered 3 curry dishes(pictures included) and all of them were ah-maz-ing! The Shrimp Curry could use vegetables — I mean, it literally was only shrimp and pineapple… but the curry itself was so delightful! The Red Curry was probably my favorite. So many flavors and lots of good stuff with the chicken. The Jade Curry was good. We ordered it with tofu, but I think it would have more flavor if it were ordered with meat. Still a good amount of veggies and eggplant in it! My brother is a fan of Larb appetizers, so we tried theirs. It was good — it’s flavorful, but could use a little more spice. Still, a decent dish. Complaints: 1) For only 3 parties in the entire restaurant on a Sunday evening at 7pm, service was still a bit slow. 2) Rice should automatically come with the curry entrees. One shouldn’t have to order 5 side orders of rice for 3 dishes of curry. Ridic. Overall, I’ll definitely go back. Maybe order food to go!(I can make my own rice).

As Thai restaurants come, this is more of an upscale one(compared to a few hole-in-the-walls I’ve been to). It has nice tables and silverware with cloth napkins. The only compliant I have about the ambiance is the background music. I’d expect some kind of soft music or something with an Asian flair, but they play more of American-style music. Kind of puts a damper on the experience. The food is really tasty. A lot of Thai restaurants have large portions and leaves me with take home seconds, no complaints there. This one gives more of a single serving amount, which is fine too. The prices are ~$ 10+ a dish. Their pad Thai, chicken satay, and curries are very good. Parking lot shared with other businesses, but there’s always plenty of room. I’ve never come here and had to wait.

(+) Excellent Thai food… beef salad, aloha fried rice, & pad see you(that’s how they spell it) are my usuals. (+) Latest discovery, lemongrass chicken wings… so good. Must try and a must get for whenever I go back. (+) Never been here early enough for lunch, but they have lunch specials. Dining area is kind of small, but it’s never been too crowded where I had to wait… guess I’ve managed to avoid the busiest hours. Location has plenty of parking. (+) Even when picking up take-out, never been disappointed. Full menu requires a quick google search

Update: changing from four to five stars because our friends have served food from here several times and the taste and quality seem consistent. The garlic green beans are really good and my favorite dish is chicken Panang. I don’t usually get Pad Thai but of all the places I’ve been to(which is many), this place has the best by far. This atmosphere inside is clean and pleasant– nice enough for a casual date — better than many but not elaborate. I wish they delivered but would trade delivery for this tasty, quality food. First review: Although this place is slightly higher priced, the food is worth it. We ordered several dishes and all were delicious. The service was also excellent. I am only reserving five stars to see if they stand the test of time.

You must try the pad Thai with shrimp(spicy) and the garlic string beans With the red curry. Also bring a bottle of wine they have a reasonable cork fee :)

I really enjoyed eating lunch here today during my lunch break! I most def will be back… PARKING It’s located in a pretty busy parking lot but it’s not impossible to find parking. FOOD The glass noodle salad is amazing. It has a lime taste to it and the texture feels very light(they aren’t heavy noodles) not to mention it just hits the spot especially on a hot summer day like this. I also… LOVED the jade green curry… omg(it’s spicy and a tad bit of sweet at the same time and you must have with rice). Amazing dish! I seriously would come back just for this dish alone. I have no clue why I have never tried green curry prior but my friend who is Thai herself said this was an amazing curry. AMBIANCE Very zen like… I love the sit up and the cute little flowers that are freshly picked in a vase as a center piece. nice touch! WINE My friend who was with me also mentioned her and her boyfriend came here and they do let you bring your own wine… for those wine lovers out there. I will def be doing this next time I come. All in all, I really enjoyed this place!
