This place is simply amazing, the best food I ever had. His meat is incredible! I sometimes drive all the way from san diego to eat Mr. leo’s amazing fillet mignon sandwiches. This place deserves so much more. I am his number 1 customer!

Avoid Sorry guys I am all for the underdog but come on 8 bucks for a plain hot dog with sprinkled condiments. Me think not

This is a nice neighborhood spot with a cool owner and good food. The quality of meat in the sandwich is very high, and it’s sliced thinly as is the style in Uruguay. The sandwich is a good size, and of course he doesn’t make it in two minutes, he freshly cooks the meat individually for each sandwich! It’s not Subway cheap, but the quality of meat is so much higher you get what you pay for. And to top it off, Mr. Filet Mignon himself is a very cool guy if you start a conversation with him. I really enjoy this place for a quick lunch and drive-thru; it definitely beats any fast food.

Great breaded Filet Sandwich! I’ve been wanting to try them, I drive past their place all the time. I finally did and I wasn’t disappointed! EXCELLENT food!

This is my third time at this place. The filet sandwhich is delicious. The fries are uniqueky crisp, with sea salt flavoring. Try the chimichuri on the sandwhich. Adds to the flavor. Family owned and run. Leo is super nice and his son(el jefe on the wekends?) is adorable. The only drawback is this is NOT fast food. Expect a bit of a wait to properly prepare your food. The best tip is to call in your order before you pick up. Finally, try the breaded filet. Yummy.

No. This is not filet mignon. It has fine steak sandwiches, but the steak is not really good and certainly not juicy delicious filet. There is very little meat in the sandwiches and the bread was not really good too. The fries were good, the owner is nice and I enjoyed sitting in the little outdoor area by the wash, kinda ghetto, just my style.

Right down the street from where I live I decided to try them out. I hope people give him a chance to try his sandwiches as well. I ordered the Mr. Filet Mignon: which is a French Baguette, Filet Mignon, Mayonnaise, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions. The fries were really excellent too. Hope this recommendation helps.

Steak too salty. No grill marks on steak doesn’t taste like filet mignon. Too pricey for amount of food not a good value.

There’s something really cool about ordering in some food, and then while you are scarfing it down, writing about it. But since I like my Filet Mignon sandwich hot, and the fries crisp, I’ll put down my mouse and finish my Mr. Filet Mignon and fries before going back to the keyboard. What’s cool is that Mr. Filet appears as a fast food drive-thru, however the experience is anything but. While I was hanging out, talking on my cell while Mr. Filet cooked my order ‘to order’(nothing was laying around in warming bins), I would occasionally see a hand and forearm emerge from the ordering window, with a sample of filet on a fresh crusty end of a roll, or a mushroom done in something that was incredibly delicious, or… a sample of the breaded filet mignon. I swooped down on that extended hand like a starling to his mother’s beak. Okay, here it is. The sandwiches are not small — maybe by the standards of those used to gorging themselves on huge caloric multi-decked burgers. My Filet Supreme sandwich was delicious. My only criticism would be that it was a tad salty, but the more I got into the sandwich, the less the salt was noticeable, so maybe I just hit a salty patch. As good as the sandwich was, the fries are unbelievable. A dusky orange like the setting sun, crispy and seasoned with a succulently warm interior. Damn, this place is good. I want to try the chick pea pizza. I want to try their hot dogs. I want to get extra sauce that they sell. I hope this place becomes successful. It is a standout. It is an experience — and if you’re lucky enough to see Mr. Filet’s hand extend out to you with a sample, do not refuse it. Take it for what it is worth — an offering of a cuisine that might be familiar, but is refreshingly different.

I and my girlfriend stopped in to eat and were greeted by a very young boy, I was a bit worried maybe he was cooking but was assured he wasn’t when the owner showed, the son was nice and took order but forgot to add a hot dog we requested, then when we were Askd for payment we gave debit card and where told they couldn’t accept and 7⁄11 was across the st. We got the cash but got hit with ATM fee and then when we paid for it I gave the owner $ 20, the bill was $ 13.98 he gave me back $ 5, I didn’t relize I was shorted a $ 1 till I got home lol oh well, the food was meager and the cans of soda which were a $ 1.50 had dirt in the tops of the cans which I didn’t notice till after I drank, the meat was unseasoned and tasteless. The fries were good but no ketchup given. I don’t like to give 1 star reviews but they earned it!

Mr. Filet Mignon is amazing!!! Every bite that you take of the sandwich melts in your mouth. I noticed it just driving by one afternoon and decided to stop in and give it a try. I’m so glad I did its so worth it and very reasonable in price. Its refreshing to see a fantastic hidden gem way out here in West Hills that puts care and love into their sandwiches. West Hills needs more joints as yummy as this. Leo the owner makes you feel welcome and just makes you feel right at home. He’s a joy to chat with. He came up with a wonderful concept to have a place like this. I recommend the«Mr Filet Mignon» and the«Breaded Filet Mignon» both sandwiches are top notch. For dessert go with the Cannoli its a masterpiece! Enjoy everyone I hope you like it as much as I do.

A hidden Argentine/Uruguay gem! Minanesa sandwich, choripan, bacon wrapped hot dogs, chivitos– aka steak sandwiches with the works on french baguette. Love!

When I drove by and saw Mr. Filet Mignon, I had high hopes and was excited for a local place to grab a bite. I went with my daughter and her friend. We all ordered the steak sandwich and then I noticed he had a vegan pizza. I was excited to bring that home to my other daughter who is a vegan. On a positive note, the fries are to die for amazing. We all agreed they are yummy. The bread on the sandwich is also fresh and tasty. I opened our sandwiches and needed a microscope to see the meat. There were three tiny slices that could not have even been 2 ounces of meat. Most bites were just bread. I’m not looking for a ton of meat, but the 3 pieces wouldn’t have even amounted to 1 bite if it was on a plate. The vegan pizza was flavorless and greasy. My daughter took 1 bite and threw it away. If you want to try it, get the fries.

Supporting the new neighborhood joint, sad to say but this place sucks! Labor laws need not apply here, the owners son looks to no older than 10years old, he take orders/payment at the window(solo) and busses the seating area. The owner Leo made my steak sammy… it was FAR from good, it was EMPTY! The vessel contained three paper thin cut pieces of steak, it was ALL bread, lettuce & mayo for. $ 8! FAIL! It’s not often if ever that I give a 1-star, but even 1-star is generous!

Just north of Buenos Aires and across the Rio Del Plata you will find Uruguay. home some amazing food and excellent football. But beyond that there is a hospitality and love of preparing meals to be shared with friends. This spirit is what you find at Mr. Filet Mignon, good quality steak sandwiches that will quickly make you an addict.(I had my first at 1:30, its 3:00 now and I am craving another.) There is a warm hospitality that any other drive through or delivery establishment would be hard pressed to match. The owner, Leo clearly has the pallet in mind, his Quality(kosher !) beef is served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc, on a fresh from the oven baguette. He makes a special mustard sauce with a bit of a tangy, spicy flavor. He insisted I try his paina(chickpea pizza) so you vegetarians have something to enjoy. Everything was flavorful and fresh. I’ll be dropping by tonight on my way home to try the Dulce De Leche flan for desert. I am told he will soon be adding an outdoor patio for sit down dining. I look forward to working my way through the entire menu. So will you.
