Salon Christopher Corum

My friend recommended me to Chris a while back so I decided to give him a try. At first I was a bit hesitant, but when I arrived he quickly put my mind at ease with his expertise and knowledge.
You should know Salon Christopher Corum is an upscale salon and worth every penny.
That being said, I am very happy with all my cuts so far and have had Chris as my stylist for about 7 months now. He’s really chill and fun to talk to. Very knowledgeable on all hair types including my wavy/​curly hair. (It has been a struggle to find a stylist that could cut my hair right) And best of all he’s very good at replying to texts or calls.
Everything is so convenient and of the utmost highest quality, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

Can’t say enough great things about Iris who I first met at a different salon. Iris stood out from all of the other stylists with her patience and kindness and from that point forward I was hooked! I’m from a mixed heritage so I have a head full of curls and it’s often very hard for people with my hair to find stylists they trust. Iris, who also has naturally curly hair is now my one and only go-​to person! She cuts, colors, blow dry’s and has also chemically treated my hair. She never makes me feel bullied or jumped on because I’m a little precious with my hair :) She always takes her time to cut my hair — she listens… like REALLY listens and we decide together how we want to shape it! When I first started with her my hair had been chemically burned and because of her my hair is now back to it’s original length, extremely healthy and collecting compliments on the daily!!! My hair is full, natural and looks and acts so healthy. Iris is a stylist for sure, but she functions more like a hair therapist because she is so great at making you feel comfortable. It’s just a matter of time before she becomes the «It» girl for curls in LA so get in while you can! Aside from her skill, she is extremely sweet and patient, has the most amazing people skills and is just all-​around cool! Both her and Christopher curate a very lovely, relaxing vibe at the salon — nothing catty and NO Hollywood foolery even though they are right in the epi-​center of it all. Nothing but awesomeness here!

I love coming to this salon as I’ve switched from very reputable ones but just find the service and quality so impressive and just makes me happy. Iris is my hair stylist and if you are lucky to get her you will love her dry cutting technique. I get color as well and I must say she is the best colorist I’ve ever had. I’m really into non corporate businesses and literally I can come in here and it’s super mellow and I’m even offered a drink once I sit down. It’s the bomb dot com so be sure to give iris a shot and you will be pleasantly delighted.

Christopher is very professional, classy, timely and detailed. I was at a loss for a new blonde stylist and so scared to try someone new. I’m so glad that I found him, he consulted with me in detail to make sure he would give me exactly what I wanted. It’s the most beautiful blonde I’ve had in years and definitely since I’ve been out in LA. He did amazing correction on a blonde job I didn’t like and he took out all of the brass and reddish tones. He was so informative and helped to realize that it was certain hues I didn’t like and kept me in the loop on the steps he took to correct it. I couldn’t be happier and was so excited about the results and since he’s gained my full trust when it comes to hair, I decided to get keratin extensions.
Christopher is so detailed and really takes his time in any hair project he’s working on, you can really trust him for most any type of hair project. I’ve been wanting to go lavender soon as well and will trust him in that as well because he’s just so impeccable with each obstacle I’ve given him.
He’s not over the top with his personality at all which is a huge plus with hair here in LA, it usually comes with big personality which can be a lot to take sometimes and also people with too large of egos.
Christopher is so laid back and really makes me feel like I can tell him anything and most importantly he listens. He’s so much class and for the work he does– I find it to be very affordable and fair. It’s worth every penny and has given me so much confidence back.
His salon is super cute, perfectly clean and organized and is in a great location.
I can’t see anyone ever being disappointed in coming to this salon. 5 stars, A + and BLONDE!!!

Love this duo! Such great energy and amazing technique! I’m a curly girl and have avoided cuts or any color due to traumatic previous experiences … But then I found the incredible Iris! She kills it every time! Perfect shape, healthy curls and shiny color! Love this spot!

I’ve been seeing Iris for close to a year (I even followed her from a previous salon) and she is highly recommended! I came to her in the process of growing out my curly pixie cut and she has guided me throughout the process. She is not only a curl expert but also incredibly warm and attentive. She was super attentive to my requests/​concerns and made sure I was comfortable before, throughout and after the cut. Go see her!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I have been seeing Iris for a few years now and I don’t know what I would do without her. I have big natural curly hair that has always been frizzy :(After my first visit with Iris, she taught me some hair tricks to help fight the frizz. Not only did she give me a fabulous cut, she also introduced me to a Brazilian blowout that keeps my curls! After I got my first Brazilian blow out from Iris, I was addicted! My hair is now easy to manage and my curls are beautiful! I can’t believe it took me 30 some odd years to embrace my curls. Iris is truly a curly hair extraordinaire and will teach you how to perfect your curls instead of straightening them!

Iris is an amazing hairstylist! I’ve been a loyal follower and going to her for the past 5 years. She is a great hairstylist that does dry cutting. I prefer this method because I can see the haircut in real time (no blowout required).
Whenever I’m thinking about getting a haircut, I always show Iris my Pinterest board so I can get her opinions. She lets me know if a certain style will work with my hair texture. She will also factor in the long term maintenance of each style I like (I’m super low key, so I tend to choose styles that are just «wake up and go» hair).
Iris also prepares you for the reality of doing a shocking hairstyle (long to short, black hair to blonde). She doesn’t sugarcoat the experience, because she wants you to be satisfied with her work. She isn’t in it just for the paycheck, she ACTUALLY cares about her clients.
Iris is true a gem in the field of hairstyling, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else in LA!

Iris is my jam ! She is so awesome, turned me into a silvery blonde last year and I’ve followed her ever since. She pampers me every time I come in and makes sure I’m always happy with how she does my hair, including showing me suggestions beforehand !
She also cuts my bf’s hair and even checks with me to make sure I approve (haha).

Chris cut my hair for ~ 4 years up in Santa Cruz. Without a doubt, he did a great job with each and every cut! Sad to have to find a replacement, who likely won’t do as good of a job as Chris did.

I’ve been going to Christopher for many years now. He is so very talented and I always leave his chair feeling like a new person. He focuses on what he is doing so that I’m not in the chair for too long but I also never feel as if I’m rushed. He’s nice and friendly but most importantly he does amazing hair. The compliments I get on my hair are constant. He’s a must in my book. I’d follow him to the moon if I had to, seriously.

Awesome stylist !!! Very happy with my cut and amazing color. Easy to get ahold of when an important event came up. He did an amazing job blowing my very curly hair out! I will defiantly continue using him for all my cut, color and style needs.

Chris is amazing. I’ve been going to him for 3 years now and I still always get compliments about what a great haircut I have — even when I’m the only one that thinks it’s ‘jumped the shark’ and I’m in desperate need of one! It is located within the 8000 Sunset Plaza (across from the Laugh Factory on Sunset) second floor Suite 57 located in the Salon Republic studios. Chris Corum for your hair. He can do it all. I’ve referred many of my celebrity clients. All are happy and repeat clients. They also have professional makeup artists. One of the best in the Los Angeles area.
