Simone Closson

Simone did my makeup for a recent wedding I was in, she makeup for myself, the bride, and three other bridesmaids (and she did the bride’s and maid of honor’s hair!) Simone was awesome throughout the process, organized, efficient, and super nice to be around! I truly enjoyed being around her throughout the day, and my makeup was impeccable! It stayed on all night and looked fabulous. Thanks Simone!

Makeup artist Simone Closson is Laura Burke’s go-​to makeup artist and super sweet. We talked about the looks I wanted: Mom, Hipster Office, and I Just Gotta Be ME! which is heavy eyeliner cause I love that stuff. She determined the order we would start with based on the easiest makeup look and her ability to quickly add to it. Simone does her part in making sure your headshot session is less makeup change time consuming, and more headshot shooting.
She was awfully sweet and very, very good at what she does. Definitely recommend her for your headshot (and other!) makeup needs!

I work in the wedding industry and have had the chance to work alongside many makeup artists over the years, so I’ve seen the best and have fairly high standards. Having worked with Simone several times now, I am always thoroughly impressed by her overall professionalism an high caliber of work. She doesn’t only do makeup either, as her hair styling skills are fantastic too!
There are actually quite a lot of makeup artists working in Los Angeles who are good with makeup and know how to make a person look pretty. What sets the really good ones apart from the rest, is personality. Someone who is relaxed, warm, enjoyable to talk to, and FLEXIBLE — with the ability to calmly roll with whatever comes up in working environments which can sometimes be high pressure.

Simone was the makeup artist for my daughter’s portfolio photo shoot last year. She does stunning and versatile work. She was able to switch from contemporary to couture style looks, without missing a beat.
