The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands

Came here for a Unilocal elite event, Katie B hooked it up with the tickets and some free food and drinks next door at Rock and Reillys. We happened to see an Elton John and Billy Joel tribute night, so it was dueling pianos kind of night. It was great!
But you can totally go to this show for free AXS Tv has a show called Worlds Greatest Tribute Band I guess its on its 4^th season now, but you just sign up on their website

So anyway this show happens on Tuesdays, doors open at 6pm and the show starts rocking at 7pm. I believe the shows go on for an hour to an hour and half, but its really fun since the guys that go up there are tribute bands. Just pick a night where you like the band, you’re sure to have a rockin time singing along to your favorite jams.
You’ll probably have to pay to park in the back, unless miraculously you find some free parking (unlikely). But the show is free, so it’s not a bad way to start the evening.
This event is great for tourists and/​or locals alike, because its free and its right in the heart of the Sunset Strip. So if by chance you dont’ like it, you can bounce and find a myriad of things to do nearby.

I have been watching the show since season one and now my CCR Tribite band Fortunate Son will performing Sept. 23^rd on Season four. We are honored to be on such a great show with the best Tribute bands in the World. Katie is a great host and we are thrilled to be part of the show!

While on vacation last year we went to see the Motley Crue cover band. I’d never been to the Whiskey so I was absolutely thrilled to just be in historic venue — getting to hear fun/​party music performed flawlessly just added to it being a great night. Katie Daryl makes for a great host (on-​air and at the venue).
I was there with my daughter who’s 7 and everyone made sure she could see the show. Katie even gave her some swag. I will say that if you’re going to bring kids-​the Whiskey allows it at all of their shows-​get there early because it’s all SRO with few spots for a shorter person to see the show. Another aside: The Crue cover band had 2 girls dancing, including on a pole, which I thought would lead to an awkward walk back to the car but the situation was diffused when my daughter said «That’s so cool that they bring gymnasts out on stage with them» … ah to be 7 and have a clean brain.
SUPPORT this show and support LIVE MUSIC !!! even if it’s a cover band. We don’t need yet another venue changing to 100% DJ.

I started with the first show of season two to see Space Oddity. I was not sure what to expect. I ended up going to all 10 shows and am planning on attending most if not all of season 3. These shows are a blast. They are the best of the best tribute bands and most of the musicians are to notch and could preform with the real bands they are paying tribute to.

The best possible way to spend a Monday night out in Hollywood. Many of you are probably skeptical of tribute bands, but man, you really need to check these shows out. These are the best of the best. If you walked in off the street and didn’t know any better you’d swear you had stumbled upon a secret gig by some of the biggest bands out there. I’ve seen Journey, U2, Bön Jovi, Queen and many others and they have all been top-​notch. AXS has hit a grand slam with this show.

I was involved in Seasons 1 and 2 as a music critic for
. I got involved because my friend Kenny Metcalf has a tribute band for Elton John. From the first time I attended the show, Katie Daryl made me feel welcome and a part of the team. I enjoyed the quality of the tribute bands she brought in and loved interviewing them and writing weekly reviews of the shows. I was very disappointed when circumstances forced my relocation to Montana because I could no longer participate. The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands is the best show on TV, and the absolutely best way to spend a Monday night in Los Angeles. I highly recommend AXS TV’s The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands with the world’s greatest host, Katie Daryl.

Such an insanely fun event, I go every monday and it is always the highlight of my week.
