Awesome chill place with good crowd. They have good drink specials. Been here few times and def will come back. Mario makes best drinks.

It’s a small gay bar, I came here just for the pool tables. 75 cents for one game, cheaper than most tables.
The drinks here are good, price is fine, music is great. The bathroom is a little dirty though, hope they can do something about it.
As my first gay bar trip, it’s such a fun experience to be here.

Whenever we make our way to West Hollywood, my friends are always adamant about coming here. I always have a great time here, the drinks are cheap, and the vibe is good. However, the bartender can either make or break your experience.
Our bartender, Amit (we made sure we got his name before we left) was just plain rude, stuck-​up, pompous, & lacked a personable attitude. If you wanted to see a real life douchebag, his name is Amit.
When we arrived, our party hung out near the bar area. Amit told our group to move so that other people could easily order drinks. The bar wasn’t crowded at 8:30 pm and if he didn’t want us to hang out in his section of the bar… then don’t put bar stools in that area!
Secondly, he was always on his cell phone (probably because the bar wasn’t busy). So trying to get his attention for drinks was difficult. However, when he finally saw that you needed help… Amit continued to finish his text before helping the patrons.
Depending on who you are and what you look like, Amit would decide on how much alcohol or lack of alcohol he’d pour in your drink and whether you were served first or last. This didn’t happen with my party, but two brown people were patiently waiting to get served and when Amit saw his white friends walk in, he skipped over these two people and immediately hugged and served his friends drinks before them. Annoyed and upset, these two men walked out of the bar.
Lastly, we had a few people who were our designated drivers of the night. So when we would ask for water, Amit had that face of disgust and annoyance. You can easily see it on his face and when he realized it, he switched over to the fakest smile I’ve ever seen. We were so annoyed we went to another bar after only 45 mins being in Trunk.
Amit probably won’t get fired or even reprimanded, but my party and I had such a terrible experience at Trunks (for the first time) I actually had to write about it. The rest of the night before and after Trunks was epic, but if we could erase one memory from last night… it would be that time I went to Trunks and had a bartender named Amit.

WeHo is known for its mostly pretentious and stuck up disposition. In a land of of plastic, it’s nice to have a dive bar where the drinks are equally cheap as they are strong. My knock though, is that the drinks can be a little too strong. I know, what an awful problem to have! But when you order a vodka soda and it’s pretty much 97% vodka, 2% melting ice, and 1% club soda, then it’s really hard to stomach. Get a drink with a more flavor and you should be A-​OK. I could not write a review of this place without mentioning Kimo, who passed away a couple years back. He used to work security and was one of the kindest individuals I’ve had the honor of meeting. He gave me advice on coming out to my family and always took good care of me when I had one too many. I fondly look back at the countless friday nights I would stop by spend a big chunk of time shooting the s##t with the amazing man. RIP Kimo =).

Pretty decent bar to get wasted for cheap and play some pool when is not too crowded. Not the best looking bar in all of weho but that doesn’t matter to much when you’re having too much fun with your friends

Alex is the sexiest hottest nicest fucker ever!!! Always a pleasure to see him on Saturdays. Trunks is the best.

I come here with my childhood best friend maybe 1 or twice a month, he’s there almost every weekend, lol but best service in weho!
You can get wasted for maybe less than 20 $.
No doubt that we always have fun. Everyone there is very friendly. Drinks are not expensive. Bathroom is always clean.

Just came here again a few nights ago, and I am telling you I got so drunk off of 20 dollars. What a great price to have a lot of fun. Make sure you go with an empty stomach though, haha. I love the people that work here as well. Too bad they are eye candy to me, but I am not to them only because I am a straight female.
Again, I can’t stress enough how much I love this bar.

I’m not gay but I love this bar — it’s true what they say: chill as hell crowd, all ages, all types, men and women, cheap BIG strong drinks. Shirtless bartenders a riot. People are talkative, friendly, and lots of good energy. So much fun!

Cheap, STRONG, drinks. Very laid back. You won’t find the annoying attitude here that is frequent at other Weho bars. Place sometimes smells a bit odd… Maybe it’s just me. Music is ok. Could be better.

I absolutely love trunks! The bartenders are awesome, there is always great music playing but my favorite part is Gilbert the security guard! He’s such a cutie!

This place is ALWAYS crowded girls and gays alike! Haha. I must say its an awesome spot simply because the drinks are super cheap and super strong. Lol if the bartenders know you (which i usually stick to one) they make the drinks super strong… Although all of them make them really strong regardless. The ONE thing i love about gay spots is that they’re not stingy with their alcohol and they don’t overcharge.
You could pay $ 6 for svedka and redbull or $ 5 for cranberry vodka and they make them really strong. I would strongly recommend you visit.

Whenever I’m in WeHo with my friends, I like to stop by here for a drink or two. Drinks are good here. When it’s not so crowded a game of pool is fun here too.

I came here for WeHo’s Halloween Parade and this place was a party! Naturally there was a long line to get in but the wait was well worth it.
They have pool tables and people are dancing everywhere. The drinks were pretty strong and my favorite were the rum and cokes. The bartenders are very friendly!
Other than Trunks, I love going to Fiesta! If you don’t want the club experience like Rage, this is an awesome place to go.

This is the usual pregame bar for my friends and I anytime we hit WeHo.
This is typically the spot before the spot when going out. Most people do not stay here all night unless they’re one of the regulars (who tend to be the older crowd). There’s a good balance of younger and older on weekends. It’s usually an older crowd during the week. But honestly, who really cares how old people are?
No matter what drink you’re buying, expect it to be considerably cheaper AND stronger. There is no place in WeHo (that I’m aware of) that is comparable when it comes to drinks and prices. Personally I feel like it’s always 90% alcohol and 10% mixer– so at $ 5 a drink you’re definitely getting your moneys worth.
Mon-​Thurs nights can be a hit or miss. It depends on the weather as well as any holiday that is around the night you’re going out. During the week the music tends to be slower and definitely not as loud.
Weekends are usually very busy and people are packed in like sardines. The music tends be what ever is «In» and is usually VERY loud. Maybe a little too loud sometimes.
Trunks overall is a pretty small bar but you can expect 3 bartenders on weekends and 1 – 2 bartenders during the week like any other place. Glasses are usually picked up around the bar very quickly which is a major plus when it’s very busy and you’re trying to find a seat.
There are pool tables towards the back of the bar which is always entertaining.
The patio on the front unfortunately could use more tables/​chairs although I’m not sure where they’d fit since space is limited.
Overall this place is great and can be a lot of fun. I highly recommend it!

I’d pretty sum up Trunks as being a typical on the strip WeHo dive bar having a 95% gay clientele with the remaining 5% either self-​delusional or flat out liars. It’s rather well known for its earlier crowd attracted by high octane as well a cheaper drinks offering an opportunity to get a little liquored up before proceeding out on the town where drinks are pricier and made with a less than generous pour. It’s clean, well kept, has a decent enough décor and atmosphere about it with the younger crowd either standing, modeling, conversing or playing pool while the older, meaning anyone over 40 or to some degree anyone over 30, generally seated at the bar. They have bartenders that know what they are doing, are polite, engaging and can handle a crowd well.

We picked this spot out of the average age of the customers, it’s an older crowd on a Sunday early afternoon, thought they’d be maturer with dignity. Oh boy, were we wrong! It turned out to be a cheap and sleazy spot of west hollywood. The bartender was boring, dull, and uninterested in his customers unless if it’s someone he can flirt with. I personally witnessed him pouring practically the entire jar of olive juice into my friend’s martini that we ended up needing to dilute it with a bottle of water. I almost took a picture of him and wanted to post it on here, but my friends told me that could be a violation of Unilocal’s.
The bar itself was dirty, sticky left and right, it’s just my opinion, and I’m not sure when’s the last time they even bother to clean the place. The people who went there were, as I mentioned, older, yet, surprisingly rude, unattractive, and phenomenally desperate for attention. It’s like they’re trying to capture their lost youth by dressing up like high schoolers and behaving as a group of «mean girls» from the movie.
I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone unless you fit the category.
