Consistently terrific food, with an emphasis on fresh and local ingredients, prepared to order with pride by chefs who care about every plate they send to your table. What more could you want?
The brisket is amazing. Best burgers around, with the recent addition of the local grass-​fed beef burger (a little more expensive and worth it). Terrific chicken salad. The local grits are as good as you will ever eat. The Park Vista Chips (fried potatoes like you’ve never had before) are beautifully seasoned and are a great as a side or as an appetizer to share. The kid’s meal chicken tenders are crazy-​good. Adult meals are $ 8 – 11, and kid’s meals are $ 5. Portions are hearty.
The dining room often fills up, and service isn’t always fast (everything is made fresh to order). But the food is always worth the wait. If you have a large group or if your are in a big hurry, you should probably call ahead during peak lunch or dinner hours.
The dessert selection varies, but all the desserts are homemade and great. I especially recommend the crème brûlée, cheesecake and carrot cake.

Ending a wonderful week in North Carolina with my 3 sisters. We started in Kinston and ended in Raleigh. Spent a few days in the mountains and my sister said we should eat at The Park Vista. A great choice. Two of us had the brisket. It was perfect, delicious and a huge portion. My sister had the burger, which she has had before, and loved it again. Our service was great and the chef came out to check on us as well. Very sweet. Worth the trip. Stay at the hotel they own as well.

While on a quick visit to the Parkway, we were advised to try the Park Vista for a lunch. What great advice! Our server, Darius, was a sweetheart, and the food was awesome. Chicken salad sandwich with mac & cheese for me, and BLT with cheesy grits for my husband. Yum! We enjoyed it so much, we passed the word to others to try out the place!

The food at The Park Vista is outstanding. Their menu is not vast but what they have is of high quality and well prepared. The service is excellent. If you are in a hurry this is not the place to go because it does take time to produce such excellent meals. This is one of our favorite places to eat when we are in the area.

A great new place to eat on the Parkway. The restaurant has been newly remodeled and has a very nice layout, but the food is really great. I’ve had the burger, brisket and BBQ so far and it has all be first class. My wife loves the cheese grits, but for me the salads and the fries are great.
Great to have another option to eat in West Jefferson.

Now open for lunch and dinner only from 11 am to 9 pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Bar serving wine and craft and domestic beer. Food is fresh using local ingredients and consistently good. The burger is the best in the high country.

An excellent restaurant located just off of mile marker 268 of the legendary Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything is excellent (barbecue, brisket, chicken and salads), but my personal favorite is the BLT on brioche. They serve local vegetables and meats prepared by professional chefs. They also serve wine and bottled and quality draft beers. Give it a try and you’ll be back.

Super excited they remodeled and reopened the restaurant. We come to our mountain top several times a year to get away and hate that we have to go to town to get food. So excited we have such a great place 2 miles from our mountain top. They have a motel newly remodeled also so all our Florida friend can stay local and affordable great food. Great friendly staff owner and customers.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was thrilled with the food and service. My dad has a place in west jefferson so it will be a must stop to eat when we visit and I’ll make sure to tell everyone who uses his place or heads that way to not miss out on the best burger ever.
