I like this place! I didn’t wait at all for my technician. She did a good hairstyle, shaped it and gave it some curl. The price was right. I plan on coming back for my next cut and style.

The lady took only 5 minutes on my haircut. She didn’t even start a conversation, Horrible staff. Horrific service. I would rate it a Zero if I could Would not recommend! Will never go again! Go somewhere else if you looking for friendly staff and a descent cut.

Went in for a trim and the lady cut off two inches. It wasn’t that dead. Won’t be going back that’s for sure.

Went here to get my haircut fixed that was done at MasterCuts. I called the salon at about 12:25 in the afternoon to see if they had any available appointments and I got one at 1 pm that same day which was very convenient! And faster than I expected to get in to get my hair fixed. I do not recall the lady’s name who cut my hair but she was phenomenal! She was very friendly and easy to talk to as well as professional. She focused on fixing up my cut the entire time paying very close attention to detail which is hard to come across in salons these days. I will most definitely be going back for future hair cuts. The atmosphere inside the salon was nice and a very friendly woman who didn’t even work there started a conversation with me which I thought was wonderful. It felt good to know that not only was the stylist fixing my hair cut went bad, but she was doing a great job at it. Showed me with a mirror what my hair looked like before and after and I was very pleased with the outcome. My boyfriend noticed the difference in how my haircut looked compared to the cut I had before and said that it looks a lot better. I only have positive things to say about this place because it truly is an all-​around great salon. I will be referring anyone in need of a good haircut to this salon. My hair looks and feels a lot better and I am so happy I went here and not anywhere else. Well worth my time and extremely reasonable prices.

I have seen a handful of stylists at this place over the years. I have had mixed results with them. Although none were terrible, two were definitely better than the rest. I’m rather finicky about my hair cut so I like people that listen and do it correctly. The stylist I used during my undergraduate tenure at Purdue originally worked here and then left to go elsewhere. She was pretty good, so I followed her. Eventually she went on to do other things and I had some so-​so stylists that would do a decent job but nothing that I would write home about. I moved away for a couple years and eventually ended up trying them again, recently, when I was in town visiting. I had a haircut by a gal named Amber. She gave me the best haircut that I have had since high school. She was a pleasure to talk to during the cut. She was friendly and professional. Better yet she was rather quick, yet took her time to ensure that the haircut was as best it could be. I have a scar that I don’t like showing and she took every effort to ensure that it didn’t while still giving me the shortest cut possible. She even laughed at the fact she was too much a perfectionist. I could not have asked for a better stylist. The haircut was fantastic and the conversation was friendly. I will definitely be scheduling my haircuts around my trips to West Lafayette from now on. I might even make the drive up from Indianapolis just to have her cut my hair if I don’t have a planned trip in time. I would have given this establishment 5 stars but because not all of the stylists I’ve had here gave superb cuts, I knocked off a star. However, I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area and want a good cut. Overall, it’s much better than the other places I have tried. I would say to only see Amber but I don’t want her schedule to fill up to the point I can’t get in so see whoever you want.

Terrible quality and customer service. My stylist was rude from the beginning: she barely greeted me, made no eye contact, did not even tell me her name or ask me to follow her back to the chair, just started walking away, and was generally gruff. She also made some condescendingly toned comments during my service. Furthermore, I asked for sideswept bangs but she gave me poorly cut blunt bangs. When she was finished cutting she started to take off my cover sheet, but my hair was still wet and when I asked for a blow-​dry she seemed really annoyed (who sends a client out the door on a cold day with wet hair? or any day really?). Overall it was a poor quality cut and I was very uncomfortable the whole time.

Service is great and my hair stylist Amber fixed a mess I had from a previous stylist. Also recommended a product for my hair to help the damage, which i appreciated. Only negative is the parking but that’s campus area for you. Worth the price and definitely will be returning.

Very nice haircut and a very good price. The lady that cut my hair was friendly and efficient. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. I will be coming back her to get my haircut from now on.

I started coming to Beauz Cheveux becuase they offered a discount to students in Purdue Musical Organizations. I always had good hair cuts here, and usually could get an appointment same day.
I liked that it was within walking distance from my apartment. I never had a specific stylist, because I’d just want «whoever has an opening». Never had a bad cut here, and always had lots to chat about with the stylist.
All in all: I’d recommend Beaux Cheveux to anyone who is looking for a new stylist at Purdue!

I have only had my hair cut by two local salons while at Purdue; one being Beaux Cheveux. After my first run-​in with a salon in Chauncey Village, I reached outwards towards another, that being BC. I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. They cut my hair perfectly each time I went. The first couple times I brought in a picture of how I wanted my hair, and they succeed each time with making it look exactly how I wanted it too. I got a frequent members car, which after some many haircuts, you get a free one. That’s how much I support this business. I highly recommend this salon for men looking for a business to cut their hair. You won’t be disappointed. It is, however, a little pricey. With tip, each haircut is usually around $ 20.

I decided to come here after reading the Unilocal review and talking to some girls I know. I came in for a haircut and blow dry service.
I am used to my hairstylist making some sort of conversation with me. Maybe that’s because I come from Minnesota and we’re all supposed to be overly friendly, but that’s always been my experience: you go to the hairstylist, you talk about what you want to do with your hair, and then you have a joint therapy session where you gripe about topics ranging from the weather to men to school to vacations.
That was not my experience here. I am an engineer… so I am pretty well used to dealing with awkward people (no offense to my peers). I struggled to make conversation with my stylist, and when I asked her questions about herself (like «what are you doing this summer?», not politics, religion, etc) I got practically one word responses.
My haircut was fine… nothing special, and for a lower price I could have gotten the same haircut at somewhere like great clips. She didn’t blow my hair completely dry. I was pretty much the only customer, so it’s not like she was having a whirlwind day. She just didn’t dry it.
I guess I feel like… if I am paying around 30 dollars for a haircut with tip, I would like you to also be my therapist, cut my hair evenly and with some degree of skill beyond a great clips level, and realize my hair is not yet dry and that you should continue to dry it until it is dry. I am somewhat lenient on the first one, but I do feel like you should be able to make at least basic decent conversation (especially considering there’s a tip coming, and people you build rapport with will likely give you a higher tip).

Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ve always had issues getting a good haircut, but this time it was perfect. Be warned that if you’re not from the Midwest, make sure you know what you want or have pictures, hairstyles are a little different over here.
Price-​wise, its about the same as everywhere else — I paid 18 + tip for a men’s haircut.
