Great drinks. Super nice staff. Always treated great by everyone when I go in. Great addition to the area.

The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that they always seem to be out of almond milk(I can’t have dairy or soy). Otherwise, good flavors and good specials!

This is quite simply the best beverage shop I’ve ever visited! Every time I roll into Lafayette I go across the river to Latea. I love their milk teas with boba, especially the lavender and rose teas. I appreciate they let you decide how much ice and sweetener to add(none, quarter, half, full). I only wish there was one in Indianapolis.

I love coming to Latea. I come here often, so I decided to get their rewards card and within two weeks, I am already 2 drinks away from the reward(I’m in uni so I have to space out my purchases). I love how you can adjust the sweetness level and the ice level. I normally get 25% sweetness and that is just enough sweetness to sweeten the drink, but not so much sweetness that the flavor of the tea is unrecognizable. I really like the boba so I normally get triple boba in a medium size drink(I’m a glutton and proud of it). I normally get either the lavander milk tea(they make the lavender tea in store) or the rose milk tea(they get the rose tea shipped in). I love the atmosphere, it’s really calming and there’s really good music playing 80% of the time, and the staff is really pleasant and helpful. If you’re a student and need to print stuff, they have a printer, however I’m have a printer in my apartment, so I’m not sure if you have to pay for prints becuase I’ve never used it. Good job Lafayette for building an amazing establishment!

Awesome location and great drinks! I like the chai they offer. Sometimes the wait is a little long but well worth it. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Best Bubble Tea in town. Their boba is homemade and they have a frequent purchaser card with deals after so many purchases. Located on campus, it is a student favorite. I’ve never been there without a line. They offer a few snack foods/desserts as well, but I’ve never tried those. My usual is the House Milk Tea with Boba. You can adjust your sweetness level, order online, or get it delivered. They can be pretty slow when busy, but every drink is made to order. so I don’t mind. I’ve tried the other bubble tea places in town, and though they are good, this is by far the best.

Best bubble tea place in town even though Kong fu Tea just came If you can’t have milk, like me, I highly recommend taro milk tea with soy milk. You won’t know the difference

I like how I can design my own drinks by choosing sweetness, amount of ice, and other things to add in. Although some of my fiends think caramel milk tea lacks tea flavor but it’s my favorite.

I tried the milk tea with pudding and the pudding is the best that I have ever tried. I love the fact that they used egg in making the pudding and the texture is just incomparable with others. I was just visiting but if I were a student here I will come more often !

Top tier boba tea at Purdue, Indiana, and arguably the Midwest. As someone who has tried boba tea from many places within the Midwest and beyond, I would say LaTea is definitely towards the top of my favorite list. They have a large selection of teas and allow a large amount of customization from flavor, sweetness, what goes in, and more! Can’t go wrong with a house black/green milk tea, although my favorite is the taro milk tea. Also try their fries, and go for the basil Parmesan!

This is the BEST bubble tea I have had in Indiana. The staff is friendly and the drinks are delicious. It’s a bit pricey, but usually worth indulging. I recommend the rose milk bubble tea!

Best in town hands down. The owner knows how to make good Taiwanese milk tea. If you wanna know what boba tea tastes like in Taiwan(where it’s from) this is the place to try.

My freshmen year, Latea didn’t have a building, and instead was a phone number you called to get boba. Its been great seeing how Latea has transformed into its own building, and has been so successful. The atmosphere is always casual and welcoming, and I’ve always enjoyed their bubble tea. My current favorite is the green tea crème float, which is so delicious and almost tastes like jasmine tea. My favorite hot tea is the coconut crème hot tea. Creamy taste but yet light because of the water base. Definitely recommend a visit!

Definitely the best milk tea in town, but I have to say the tea tasted much better when it was coming out of a delivery-only service. Now, there’s really only sugar and milk in the milk tea. The ratios are off and quality is no longer part of their service. Customer service is a hit or miss at this place. Some cashiers will greet you with a smile, others will just glance at you and walk over when they think you’re going to order. It’s okay and I’m still disappointed every time I go in thinking it’ll be different.

Latea is great! They have the best milk tea in West Lafayette. The house green tea, 75% sweet with boba and less ice is my personal favorite. The lounge is a great place to hang after a movie or late night. They have great flavors and I am still trying to accomplish my goal of drinking everything on the menu!

Think you can’t find good milk tea in Indiana? Think again. Latea is an interesting place to find in the midwest. It reminds me very much of any tea bar or milk tea shop you can find in San Jose, and better yet, the drinks are even better in some cases, if I may say so myself. You would think the milk tea drinks aren’t as authentic or fresh, but you will be proven wrong. Latea proves that it can provide the same quality as any other established branch in areas with larger Asian communities. For you Asian kids heading to Purdue, Latea will fulfill your cravings. For those who have never experienced milk tea or boba, you’re in for a treat. Good luck to Latea, and I hope you continue spreading milk tea all throughout the midwest. TIP: The standard milk tea is great.

This place gets BUSY. I was studying in the area and wanted to try their bubble tea and potentially study for a few hours(the free wifi was what made me think this was a good idea). When I walked in, the place was packed with no seating available. The line moves pretty quickly but the small space gets crowded as everyone stands around waiting for their boba. It was also extremely loud so even if there had been a table open, I would not have wanted to study there. Even just talking to my friend was difficult with the noise level so high. Latea is pretty cool in that you can choose your sweetness level and amount of ice which I really appreciated. However, I found their tea to be mediocre. I got the passion fruit black tea at regular sweetness with less ice and it did not taste like passion fruit at all. It was very slightly fruit flavored tea while I was looking for something with more passion fruit flavor. There also wasn’t much boba in my drink compared to what I’m used to. I may come back to try a different flavor tea but I don’t think I’ll be making this place a regular stop in my routine.

Why did it take so long for a bubble tea lounge to open up near Purdue? The only thing I’m sad about is that I’m not the one who opened this place! I could have made a fortune by now since this place is so popular! :) That aside, Latea is great, with a huge menu with tons of options, including bubble teas, fruit jelly teas, plain, and so forth. It’s sort of dizzying, but I stick to the basic – milk bubble tea. You can even ask them to adjust the sweetness level of your drink, a big hurray for me, since I prefer less sweetness to my drinks. One downside is that I think it’s kind of expensive – just to get a small sized bubble tea with real milk(instead of the powdered stuff), it can cost more than $ 4. Perhaps I’m out of the loop in terms of bubble tea pricing these days(I moved to the midwest many years ago, from that bubble tea mecca, SoCal), but it feels kinda pricey. But overall, head over to Latea to get a bubble tea fix that you cannot get anywhere else in this part of Indy. As a side note, parking can be tricky to find(there’s more in the back, but it’s waaay back there).

The hazelnut milk tea I got wasn’t bad, although you can’t really pick up the hazelnut flavor that much. Very cute décor, friendly service.

This is my second bubble tea this week… I might be obsessed. But seriously, how could you not be? The large windows let in plenty of sun and vitamin D. The place is buzzing with students and is quite cozy. The selection of drinks and variety of milk options is impressive. I always get the half sweet— and it is plenty sweet.
