I really enjoy the atmosphere andfood, but I would like it if they changed the menu more often and offered specials — it gets too redundant! It would be nice if they had more interesting appetizers as well! So, that’s my review –good, but could be better!

Wow — what a great place. I was in OR City meeting a friend for dinner, and had absolutely no idea where to go for dinner. I had checked out Allium on Unilocal, but the reviews were not very good, so I suggested someplace else to my friend. Well, she hated the other place that I chose and said that we should give this place a try, since the menu looked good and it was only about 10 minutes away for the other restaurant that we met at. Really glad she talked me into it. *And she was right, the other place did not have the vibe we wanted. Anyway, after finding parking right behind the restaurant, we were promptly seated after only waiting a few minutes. I can tell that this place could get packed on the weekends, so it’s probably a good idea to get reservations if you’re going on a Friday or Saturday night. The décor was pretty, and reminded me of a nicer European style restaurant. Our server was attentive and our food did not take long at all. I read a lot of Unilocal reviews with complaints about the slow service, but we did not have that problem at all. They had a really good drink menu, and I went with a glass of Prosecco and my friend got an Orange Blossom cocktail(I tried it and it was delicious). We started with two appetizers: French Fries with Duck Fat and Rosemary and the Chicken Liver Mousse. Both we so good — I’d recommend them both. The fries came with a delicious aioli sauce, which was a perfect accompaniment to the fries. For my entrée, I got the Spring Asparagus Bucatini, made with garlic, shallots, bacon, cream and grana padano. Beautifully presented dish that was equally delicious. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, and all of the flavors of the dish complemented each other nicely. Really, really good. After all of that, I was shocked that we split a desert, but what the heck, right? The desert menu looked amazing, but we settled on the sugar donuts, made with cinnamon and bourbon with a side of crème anglaise. Those tiny donuts were heaven! They were light, airy and bite sized. Perfect way to end the meal. I’m not in the West Linn area at all, but if I’m ever down there and looking for a place for dinner, I would definitely go back to Allium. Don’t let the three stars keep you from going there, I had a great dining experience and would highly recommend it.

So happy we found this quaint neighborhood bistro! The staff are all foodies like us. Vegetarian friendly and happy to cater to our likes. Cannot wait to return and try something else! Hopefully, we can make one of their ‘Dinners In The Field’ events when we come back to town.

My family have been going to Allium for years. I was very happy with the restaurant and the relationship they have built with us over the years. The food is delicious, service is prompt, and I enjoyed the ambiance. My dad asked for certain IPA style to the waitress and she brought exactly the taste and preference he was looking for. She even gave him two small samples of other IPAs just to taste before she brought his full portion. They know our style and preferences and really define excellent customer service.

We were really hoping for something better. The menu is wonderful. The service is pleasant but spotty. The quality of the dishes varied from inedible(bread pudding) to quite good(pork chop). I imagine we’ll try them again, but we were disappointed.

The service was amazing. Hardly anyone here besides another group of people. I ordered the French fries with duck fat and rosemary and the pan seared halibut. We also showed at about closing and we were not once pressure or asked if we were done or ready to leave! This place is great and will be going back again!!!

The food was good, but OMG so slow! Unjustifiably slow — plenty of staff, not that many customers. Not only slow, but the portion sizes were disappointing, and they messed up my fiancé’s order! Horrible first impression.

We have been in twice and have been impressed with the wine list and quality of the food! We would definitely recommend Allium for family dinners or date nights.

We love Alium. It’s our go to favorite restaurant in town. We love that all the food is local and sustainable. We are addicted to their burgers and duck fat fries. Have tried various things on the menu and it’s all pretty darn good. This is our go to place for out of town guests who seem to enjoy it as much as we do. The staff is always friendly and one server in particular is very sweet, always remembering us and saying hi, even when not in her station. The kids menu is great and well priced. Been there well over 15 times and I honestly can’t think of a bad thing to say. Except maybe don’t order your burger well done, it comes out burnt. But then again, who orders well done burgers? Lol

Not sure why this restaurant doesn’t have higher ratings. It’s friendly, quiet, classy, and serves delicious food. And perhaps the best feature: they never seem to be to full to fit me in.(Good for me, maybe bad for the owner.) My wife and I have been here many times, and often bring our friends here when we want to show somebody a great new spot. The menu is small, but every dish on it is beautifully prepared. This is my «I need a high-quality dinner that I and other foodie friends will appreciate» place.

Had a happy hour after work on a Friday. We split six oysters between the three of us and then each of us decided to have their hamburger with duck fat french fries. Delicious! One of us had the hamburger before so we knew it was going to be great. And they’re known(or should be known) for duck fat french fries!

Made a random stop while heading home from the outlet mall. Was willing to settle for something somewhat mediocre after perusing my options. While driving by I noticed the sign and looked it up real quick. Definitely seemed more up my alley so we made a quick u turn and stopped in. How pleasantly surprised we were! All locally sourced food. Had the most delicious cheese plate and pork cheeks! Couldn’t have been happier. The bartender gentlemen was fantastic. We chatted about football and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the place! My husband had the burger off the happy hour menu and it was divine and I don’t really eat burgers much. Definitely worth going back. :)

We greatly enjoyed our evening here. The food was delicious and we tried a lot from the divine shrimp and grits to the scrumptious mussels to the savory lamb stew to the creamy delish risotto. Add to that great drinks and beignets and what more could one want. The service was attentive and friendly, the ambiance fun and chic, and the music(the Grateful Dead — go figure!) super cool walk down memory lane. All 7 of us enjoyed our meal and visit and we will definitely be returning.

My very favorite place in West Linn! I have been meaning to write a review for a while and am finally getting around to it. My boyfriend and I went in tonight for a quick bite to eat and a drink. As usual the service is amazing and the food is wonderful. Marcus, the bartender, is by far our favorite part of the experience here. He remembers our names and our drinks every time we go. He brought our drinks before we even ordered as we have become somewhat regulars. We have never received that type of service anywhere. Tonight was my birthday weekend and he overheard my boyfriend talking about my birthday and how I’m watching my diet. Marcus brought me a dessert of sliced apples with a sparkler. It was truly the sweetest thing ever and a complete surprise. Wouldn’t be the same without him at this restaurant. In fact we prefer not to go if he’s not working! We have also been to their Field and Vine events in the past and they are fantastic! Highly recommended:)

We just finished happy hour at this establishment and, in spite of the good food, the experience was ruined(completely ruined) by their bartender Mark, who for the second time now gave us his very unpleasant attitude and bad energy when serving us. Not only was he unfriendly and unwelcoming, he also slid the check over the counter for me to get out of my chair, walk over, and pick up, AND then have more bad attitude when I mentioned how uncool it was to be charged non-happy hour drink prices because we ordered 1 – 2 minutes prior to 8:30, being that we are repeat customers. It’s really too bad when you have a local place you really want to like that serves decent food but then fails at good service. It seemed really clear to us that they more focused on closing down the place and home, than taking care of their customers.

I think Allium is a very good restaurant, but they seem to have a fairly slim menu. It would be nice if they could spice it up a bit and offer more specials on weekends. Since we’ve been eating there, I don’t think they’ve altered the menu by much. Other restaurants seem to enjoy changing things up a bit by serving some new and unusual dishes. Debbie O.

I went here with a friend for happy hour. I really like their Manhattan’s! The oysters were yummy, and I’m not a huge fan of them. but it was a nice change and we had the french fries. They were light and good… something I wouldn’t normally have. I’m a pescatarian… so there were many meat things… but enough stuff that I could chose from so I was happy. It seems like sort of an upscale place. Not sure how often I’d frequent this place but the happy hour I could definitely coming back for… that Manhattan was yummy. I drive by here after day on the way home from work… the traffic gets backed up right as I pass it… so I’ve been wanting to check it out for awhile.

We have heard nothing but good things about this place for quite a while and we decided to give it a try… I am just lukewarm on the place… It was okay, but I’m not going to make a special trip back to West Linn to do it again. The food was okay. The wife had the scallops and they were way over cooked. I had the Happy Hour burger which was good… But how do you screw up a burger! The best deal was the Happy Hour oysters on the half shell for a $ 1.50 each. The wine pours were small and the waiter and service was just fair! He messed up the bill and was very reluctant to even fix it! So I am not a big fan of this place! Hopefully your experience is better than ours! WEST-MORRY

I don’t really know what to say about this place. I should have listened to the other reviews. We went here for a birthday party. The service was a little slow but that was not the bad part. It was all the food. The place is nice looking and the beer they have on tap is all local and tasty. Getting back to the food its billed as a Bistro but its more like bar food. My wife ordered the Trout and you would think you would get the whole trout(cause normal people like to be full when they eat dinner) but no she only got 1 fillet from a 4 inch trout with some string beans and 4 or 5 little potato chunks(you could make maybe 3 french fries out of this amount of potatoes) and all of this for only $ 21 dollars not including any beverages. One of the other guests had Risotto for $ 17 dollars, the only way I can describe this is as prison gruel plopped on a plate, it was so thick and starchy that it was like pulling off globs of goo when you would take a bite. I ordered the fresh pacific oysters and after having I couple I got one that made me thing I’m going to be sick later on tonight, I’m going to need to drink a lot of beer so when I get sick at least I wont remember this experience. So if you are just looking for a nice place to drink some beer or have some cocktails this is a nice place but if you want to eat anything you would get better food at Burgerville and you wont feel like you are getting ripped off.

Saturday night dinner. * Appetizers’ crab brochette –D, too salty and the croistini was overpowering the crab. and the crab was not FRESH. * Cocktail — D Willamette falls gomper’s stomp. Stay away from this one, All Ice * Rib Eye steak-C I ordered it MED, came out Well Done. ugh. * Piella-B– The chorizo was bland, hoping for a «spanish style» as far as spicy. * Service-B would be higher but, they forgot my wine, I had to remind them about it. I was really hoping for a better experience.
