Sephora

My son gave me a gift card for Christmas so I was excited to go do some shopping… the excitement didn’t last long though. I was a little overwhelmed with all the products and walked around looking at everything for 45 mins… not one employee offered to help me… they were too busy talking to eachother. I ended up asking one of the staff a few questions about a certain product and told her I wasn’t sure if I would know how to use it properly. …her response. …“there are cards in the box to show you how”. Why don’t you do your job and show me! ! So many employees. …so little customer service! ! Walked out empty handed and frustrated!

Terrible customer service! One of the employees saw me trying to find a specific product rather than asking if I needed assistance she proceeded to talk to a friend about personal issues. I couldn’t find what I wanted so I decided to check if maybe the product was in the bottom shelves… NOW she actually decided to come over to me but not to offer me any help instead to tell me «you can’t go through that stuff» and continued to casually talk to her friend. Next it’s time for me to pay I had to swipe my card no less than 3 times only to realize I was charged twice when I got home. Never again! The Sephora closer to home is much better. fully stocked with professional employees who actually come over to you and ask if they could assist you with anything, who actually want to help!

Love! I’ve been into other Sephora’s before, but was always too intimidated to buy anything. I went into this one today, and all of the workers were so helpful. One of the employees helped me with my brows, while another helped my friend with foundation. Both did an awesome job and knew what they were doing. I ended up purchasing an Anastasia brow wiz and a Makeup Forever HD powder. The store was very clean. They were very professional. I’m kind of upset this store is an hour from me because I love these ladies!

writing this review in terms of the service. the sales associate that assisted us was very helpful. she explained the product to us, demonstrated its use, and even suggested the proper color. very knowledgable. she even gave reviews on products in the store as well. felt like she was really taking her time with us instead of other places that usually rush you out.

Completely unprofessional. I went in a few days ago and the girl attempting to «help» me seemed like I was too much of a bother for her. She made me feel like an idiot when really, based on what she told me, I think I know more than her about make-​up. She wouldn’t try any make-​up on me until I asked her 3 times. Literally, 3 times until she got the point that i’m not just going to walk away. Even after that, she didn’t let me sit down like several other customers were. I asked her about 2 products which she daubed on my face and told me to go look in a mirror. I turned around and she’s talking to someone else. I get fed up, grab certain items i’ve heard about and proceed to the cash register. Long and behold, a manager is helping me. I didn’t say anything about the girl working the floor because I just wanted to leave honestly. The manager didn’t ask me if I found everything ok or if anyone helped me. She also didn’t ask me for my rewards card (which I do have). ALSO, note to self, online gives you several free samples and such for spending money whereas here, I spent $ 200 and got nothing but stress.

The staff that works in this store is very unprofessional. I was looking at lipsticks and a saleswoman that was helping a customer just cut in front of me and practically shoved me out of the way-​reached across me-​and never said ‘excuse me’. Your store is an absolute mess. I put my lipstick down and left. I will NEVER shop here again.

This Sephora (West Nyack Palisades Mall location) is horrible. The people that work here pretend that they are busy staring at themselves in the mirror with their plastic faces. If you ask them for help, they eye you like scum (especially if you’re colored), then proceed to give you condescending bare recommendations in a rush so they can get back to gossiping about each other. This happens every time I come here to buy moisturizer, makeup or anything. Almost all of the staff with the exception of one manager is horribly misbehaved. Rude to minorities, rude to you if they think you look young. The only person that is nice here is this one manager (dirty blonde shoulder length hair), she gave recommendations for foundation, was super sweet and tried to color match me without any curt service. Also, almost without fail, most of their products are sold out. This is a horrible Sephora, better to go to another location even if it means driving across a bridge or into the city or ordering online.

There’s a pretty wide selection of brands and makeup here, which is why it gets two stars instead of one. The people who work here are on the whole, with maybe a few exceptions, look miserable, or otherwise refuse to stop gossiping with each other and actually help you find something. «Welcome to Sephora. Is there anything you’re looking for?» seems to take way too much energy and effort. I’ve had one salesperson accuse me of trying to shoplift a bottle of Philosophy bath gel (I’m looking at you, middle-​aged woman with the blonde hair and glasses). I’ve had another stomp on my foot while trying to arrange the Justin Bieber Someday sign without apologizing or even acknowledging my «ow.» The one who takes the cake is a girl who literally just stood there applying this garish shade of orange lipstick while I kept asking what a good brand of mascara is. It’s TARTE, no thanks to you.

Sadly this branch of Sephora is more like a dumping ground. It is dirty, not very well stocked and not one single employee could be bothered to offer any assistance. One of the fun things about Sephora is being able to try all the products but with the sorry state of the way things are I would not go near them. Coogie central! It used to be a lot better than this. :(((

Well, this place is convenient for me since i work in the mall. I know how many jerks come in and out of this mall and i myself get bitchy by the end of the night when people are rude and ask me dumb obvious questions. But every time i’ve been here i’ve always had those stupid annoying questions. where’s this? Do you have it in this color? What about this brand… Surprisingly they have been so kind to help me find whatever it is that i want. Plus being a beauty insider, um free stuff? Can you say SCORE!

I love Sephora! LOVE! I love that I can always bring something back if I’m dissatisfied and I love being able to go there and try everything before I buy.
I just went in and bough a great NARS lipgloss and I LOVE it! This place just makes you feel good when you walk out. You can also earn points to get extra samples when you check out.
