My husband had a stomach virus with nausea/vomiting/diarrhea. We went to the urgent care for an IV as he was dehydrated. The urgent care could not administer an IV so we were redirected to the emergency room. We told them nausea/vomiting/diarrhea and that he wanted and IV and a shot for nausea. The hospital proceeded to take blood, schedule a chest x-ray, EKG and a rectal exam and more. We finally got them to stop but not without the doctor being VERY pissy. The blood work ended up being over $ 4800ALONE! for vomiting and diarrhea… SERIOUSLY!!! We never even got any results of the blood work and it was not used in the treatment/diagnosis. The bill was over $ 8500 and COUNTING for VOMITINGANDDIARRHEA!!! I will NEVER go to that place again and will tell everyone — DON’T GOTHERE!!! SEVEREOVERBILLING and UNNECESSARY requesting of tests. This hospital does not care about your condition! It only cares about padding the purse.

This review is for the youth program. NOT Impressed! Only one doctor on staff for at least 20 kids at one time. Doctor relies heavily on feedback of nurses that repeatedly confused patients in their care. Dr Sharova was stretched too thin. She was supposed to evaluate our child, but only spent 3 minutes to ask three questions and concluded that our child needed an additional 5 days in the facility and made up a number of symptoms that did not match our child. We had our child removed and strangely everything the doctor stated disappeared in our childs record and was released as a «CALMANDSTABLE» patient. Also spotted a handful of HIPAA violations including lack of verification when calling facility, patient sign-in that allows anyone to see names of patients and their patient numbers. They also did not follow instructions for approvals of prescriptions. I could go on. Avoid this place if you can. Curious how many patients with great insurance are held for longer treatments.

Writing about the psych unit. If the adult unit is too full, instead of sending you somewhere else, they put you in seniors where you sit around and watch people in their 80s or older with dementia. If you went there to get therapy you won’t get it unless you are in the adult unit. Several patients stuck in the senior unit suggested going to the adult side just for groups and coming back to sleep and were denied. It’s no help. The doctors do try to work with you on medications though, and social workers are good too. Mike the activities guy is awesome. He really helped the younger patients stuck on the senior side do some activity other than sit around and stare at walls. The PHP program seems to be okay. Will update you later.

The adolescent unit here is HORRIBLE! Dr. s will never call you back. They see a different Dr. every time and each time the new Dr. prescribes a different cocktail of medications for the same child. Nurses will call several time to ask for authorizations that you already gave but they have no record of it. They always want to put your child on Benadryl and give you attitude if you refuse. They don’t tell you what new medication they want your child is for they just want you to ok it and if you don’t they say they’ll put you down as refusing, or tell you to Google it. They ask you to come in for a «Family Counseling/Planning» session which they have no advice fro you and it ends p being a back and forth between you and your child of the events that got them placed there. The sad thing is this is the only adolescent unit for baker acts in the area. They are just basically a holding cell! Don’t expect them to help you, your child, or your family in any way!

Doesn’t really deserve the one star. This review is specifically for the adolescent mental health. Not impressed. Called to check on my daughter and repeatedly they pulled the wrong file. Didn’t listen to us as my daughter was already diagnosed with Bpd which they totally disregarded. Daughter left worse than when she was brought there. They didn’t consult with her regular doctor and they had all the contact information.

Love this place for an emergency. Took my dad here for a burn and went recently myself for infection issues. Helpful, respectful, informative staff.
