Nothing to write home about, typical Italian pizza joint, and customer service seems to be an afterthought for this bunch !

I was in town last Fri night for a dog show at Santander PAC. We spent the night at the Candlewood in West Reading and found this place when trying to figure out the next legal left turn that allowed us access to the hotel. My wife ordered from the lobby while I checked in around 9:50PM. They closed at 10PM but were more than happy to accommodate us. The guys were nice and because I was the last pie of the evening, they loaded me up with garlic knots and a few extra slices on the house! The knots are some of the best I’ve ever had and the pizza was excellent! The interior is clean with a nice modern design. Little small inside but very inviting with a «wanna hang out» feel. I will definitely go back when we are in town again. The next day we shoved off to the Reading Public Museum to see the Curious George exhibit full of good pizza and wings from the night before!

Though it may not have reached«landmark» status just yet, Georgio’s Pizza has emerged as one of West Reading’s top spots for quality slices. Ingredients are FRESH! Such a plus. Veggies are bright and crisp. The mushrooms Georgio’s uses aren’t of the canned variety, which you see all too often in other local joints. That distinction means a lot to me. Fresh mushrooms are leaps and bounds better than their slimy, soaked, canned brethren. That wrinkly, dry texture is actually what I prefer. and the difference in taste is easily discernible. The cheesesteak meat might visually remind you of sloppy joes, but look beyond its homely appearance and feast upon the most fully flavorful and succulent steak filling whether it be in sandwich or wrap form. The hint of garlic, onion, and pepper permeate through this godly, meaty mix and will transcend most any sandwich you’d find this side of the Schuylkill. On-premise dining is surprisingly expansive once you venture indoors, though most locals prefer delivery or takeout.

I phoned in an order before the Super bowl. The girl on the phone was friendly and well spoken. I waited the allotted time and went to pick up my family’s pies. The smells coming off of those pies had me ravenous during the drive home. I live about 10 minutes from the west reading location. I opened the box and was pleased with that amount of topping and the even distribution. They were really busy, and the pies were awesome. As far as I’m concerned, it is the best pizza I’ve had in this area. I’m excited to try the other stuff on their menu.

Best pizza in W Reading, which sadly, isn’t saying much since the other pizza around here isn’t too good. Hot out of the oven it’s really amazing. Re-heated is pretty good. It needs more seasonings though. Eggplant parm sandwich is very good and very reasonably priced for the size. Fries are nicely crispy. Overall, it’s a nice local place for take away or eat in.

Can be hit or miss when it comes to their pizza, but lately it’s been pretty solid. Can’t beat the $ 7 large pizza special on Monday and Tuesday.

Such a great place. The staff is so kind and helpful. Alex is awesome and Chris is such a great guy. The pizza is always so fresh and yummy. Some of the best pizza in the area for sure.

Great place!!! Love their plain and chicken ranch pizza. Grandma’s not so much. It’s more like a margherita but too saucy. They also have great hoagies. Get them toasted and even better! Highly recommend!

Pretty good Italian food and the pizza is definitely good for the area. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dining in, just pick up. If you want dine in Italian I think the better option is across the street at GNA. But… the pizza is better at Geirgio’s. The downsides however are: 1) This place is slow. You call in for a pizza and typically they will say something like ‘ok, it’ll be ready in 45 minutes.’ Really? Then you get there are they don’t even seem busy. 2) The guys that work here are kinda dicks. I keep telling myself, they are just New Yorkers and to ‘forget about it.’ But seriously… they really are kinda a-holes sometimes, especially considering your trying to give them your money.

Went out on a limb to visit this downtown establishment after I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon perusing Goggle Works. Was within walking distance. First impression, quaint place mainly because of the cobblestone walkway. When I entered, the feel was more like that of the old country, so I was disappointed to learn from the attractive hostess that there was no brick oven. Because of this, I opted for something other than the pizza. I ordered the chicken marsala. Thumbs down. Much to my chagrin, the chicken was gummy, the mushrooms were of the CANNED variety, and the sauce contained copious amounts of marsala wine. The solitary shining moment of this visit was the cannoli I had for dessert. My server did not have much of a personality and only came to check on me once at the end of the meal. Bathrooms were unkempt with those rotating hand towel machines that make me want to wipe my hands on my slacks. Won’t be back anytime soon.

The pizza has a good crust. The sauce is a little lacking in flavor. Thumbs down on the use of canned mushrooms. All in all, way better than ordering Domino’s, and above par for the area, but still could be better.
